Cipriani Downtown Miami Ratings and Reviews
My husband ordered the risotto with lobster and got mushroom risotto instead. When asked why there was no lobster the waitress said the chef can substitute dishes on the menu. He wasn't told that when he ordered because he would have got something else. Overall the food wasn't up to the standards of a restaurant of this price and reputation.
I arrived on time and told host I had a reservation for 2. He was very unpolite and not even asked for my name. He told me to wait. The room was very small for so many people who only cares how much Monet you show you have. After a while host asked my husband to leave because he was not dressed properly. He could be at least gentle but they treat us like trash. The valet guys felt so sorry for us that did not charge us. I understand We didnt pay attention to dress code. We were on vacation. But I cant tell if dress code is smart casual why they allow half naked women. I go to Cipriani in NY frequently and it’s always a excellent experience. But Cipriani Miami is very disappointing. I felt I was in a very small town and there was The only place to be seen, wear all your jewerly and shows who has more plastic surgery. It does not worth your time or money.
Tried multiple menu options both appetizers and entrees. All food we tried was really delicious. Good service. Great ambiance. Restaurant is large and can be a bit loud on busy nights but overall its not bothersome. Would definitely recommend and would go back again!
The food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic. My wife and I dined there for her birthday prior to seeing a concert at The James L Knight Center and we will definitely be back.
The food was amazing and our waiter's recommendations from appetizers to dessert were all spot on.
Cipriani has one of the best dining experiences if you're looking for a wonderful view of the bay in the downtown/Brickell area. The service was good and the food was the same...good but nothing to write home to Napoli about. Prices were as expected (expensive) but having my Martini served in a chilled shot glass, while trendy to some was a little too much for me. I had the Fritto Misto and Egglplant. The Fritto was the same as I've had from an Olive Garden. The Eggplant was actually bordering on above average. The bread served at the table was very disappointing...we're at a world renowned restaurant and the bread from Publix would have been a better offering. Our friend who joined us for dinner had the Veal Chop on the bone which was undercooked and had to be sent back. As for dessert, we had the Vanilla Gelato (good) and a Napolean (very good). All in all, a nice experience, but little too no chance of a follow up visit.
We were there early didn't get busy till after 7. Tucked way back of the W hotel with poor signage to direct you. Very big room very high ceilings so can be chilly . Food is a bit overpriced, limited California wine selection; wouldn't be my first choice for dinner in Miami area. NYC Cips are better!!!
We had an 8:45 reservation and got our table at 9:30. That was annoying but the food and drinks were pretty amazing. Ambiance is good (not great for a date, too loud) but my friends and I had a good time despite the long wait. The carpaccio and the vanilla ice cream were divine.
