Cipriani Downtown Miami Ratings and Reviews
Excellent Bellini to start the new year. Our third year in a row to dine here for dinner on New Year's day. The food remains superb. Service always feels rushed. Also, I don't feel they offer best seating for Opentable customers. This year we were right next to the silverware, water, waiter station.
I love this place. On this occasion we went for New Years Eve. It was not its 100 per cent best but close enough. The place was packed and all went smoothly.
Their Dover sole is second to none.
Normally we love the linguini and clams as a starter but on New Years Eve it was a limited menu. Definitely worth going any time you are in Miami.
Everything was excellent, except for the waiting to be seated.
Even with a reservation, we had to wait for our table (at least aprox. 20 minutes).
And we finally got our table after making some pressure on the manager.
You have to be smart and insistent. Otherwise, people who arrive after or are acquainted with the restaurant personnel seem to have a slight priority.
We had a very nice meal here last week. While we had to wait for 30 minutes past our reservation time, once we were seated the service and good were both very good. The Gnocchi was the best I have ever eaten, as were the Appetizers and main courses.
It was worth the wait.
Great location with views to Miami river, you can spot the boats passing by. Well decorated with comfortable chairs, attentive service and the food is well made loyal to Italian tradition. The plate is very shallow therefore limiting the amount of food in the plate (not Italian at all in that regard).
Waiters galore hovering all the time, not offering wine, bread was expected to be freshly cooked in-house,waiters rushing to take away your meal when you are not even through, even though restaurant was not busy at all. For a couple of dishes of fish, a soup and two drinks -over $200- not value for your money, however if the quality was there I would give much better rating. One of the drinks - a cosmopolitan was served in a such a small glass, I thought it was for a baby.
I made a reservation, but they do not care about it! I waited for more than 45 minutes to get a table.
The owner or manager, I have no ideia who they were, but they just care for some customers, passing them, from the waiting list!
I strongly do not recommended this place!
Un clásico de la cocina Italiana en Miami
Platos que te hacen recordar a la nona, mezclados con platos de cocina moderna, todo una exisitez. Otro tema, el servicio . Es súper profesional, están en todos los detalles
Un lugar para recomendar
Disappointing. We went here for a 15th anniversary - we had lived at the Icon where the restaurant is housed for a glorious year so it should have been special. The food was good, no complaints. I had the Rigatoni and my husband the veal chop. Wine was good. It's the ambiance that is lacking. Cipriani is located directly on the water but the lighting feels like an auditorium so that you can't see outside. I requested a good table and wrote ahead it was an anniversary dinner. They sat us in the middle of the dining room, next to a table of guys loudly discussing politics and obviously hadn't read the reservation. Service is good, in fact, there is so much staff that the small dining room feels overcrowded but it wasn't the experience we were looking for, especially for the high price. Cipriani in NYC is great - this doesn't compare.
