Cipriani Downtown Miami Ratings and Reviews
Waiters galore hovering all the time, not offering wine, bread was expected to be freshly cooked in-house,waiters rushing to take away your meal when you are not even through, even though restaurant was not busy at all. For a couple of dishes of fish, a soup and two drinks -over $200- not value for your money, however if the quality was there I would give much better rating. One of the drinks - a cosmopolitan was served in a such a small glass, I thought it was for a baby.
I made a reservation, but they do not care about it! I waited for more than 45 minutes to get a table.
The owner or manager, I have no ideia who they were, but they just care for some customers, passing them, from the waiting list!
I strongly do not recommended this place!
Un clásico de la cocina Italiana en Miami
Platos que te hacen recordar a la nona, mezclados con platos de cocina moderna, todo una exisitez. Otro tema, el servicio . Es súper profesional, están en todos los detalles
Un lugar para recomendar
Disappointing. We went here for a 15th anniversary - we had lived at the Icon where the restaurant is housed for a glorious year so it should have been special. The food was good, no complaints. I had the Rigatoni and my husband the veal chop. Wine was good. It's the ambiance that is lacking. Cipriani is located directly on the water but the lighting feels like an auditorium so that you can't see outside. I requested a good table and wrote ahead it was an anniversary dinner. They sat us in the middle of the dining room, next to a table of guys loudly discussing politics and obviously hadn't read the reservation. Service is good, in fact, there is so much staff that the small dining room feels overcrowded but it wasn't the experience we were looking for, especially for the high price. Cipriani in NYC is great - this doesn't compare.
The food and service are great! But there are 2 downsides: i) the chairs and the table are very uncomfortable, and I couldn’t relax and enjoy the dinner as I expected; ii) to drink a good wine in a glass is unforgivable. Considering the price and the quality of the food, christal bowls are essentials! Although the food is excelent, I would’t come back again as the experience was not fully enjoyed as I expected!
The food comes out of the kitchen faster than The Cheesecake Factory which makes you wonder how fresh it is plus it makes you feel they want you out the door in less than 30 minutes. This was a special occasion and we felt rushed like it was a quick and expensive business lunch. The service and the ambiance were very good but not worth the money for the food and the "subliminal" pressure you feel to get out and free up the table. The experience was in my opinion totally anti-Italian because in Italy they take their time to eat, they don't rush you to eat.
Although the views are stunning, and service is impeccable, everything else falls short. The bread tastes as though it came from a box or plastic bag. The meat is over priced for an inferior cut. The ambiance seems lovely in the photos however upon arrival the entire room and contents feels dingy, dirt, used and abused. The wood serving trays are so dinged up that they look as though they are from a rusted ship. The sofas and pillows are dull, dirty and could have been your great grandmother’s. Overall disappointing and we will not be returning.
We went for my mom’s birthday at Cipriani this was our first time and we were very excited even though that we heard not really great things about this place , we arrived on time at 8pm , immediately they sat us , (i must say the tables are ridiculously small and short , very uncomfortable and plus the lights were too bright not really the kind of place were you feel romantic or comfortable) we ordered drinks and they brought the menu just two pages not very extensive but I assumed that the food was amazing, after taking my time going through the entire menu nothing felt appealing, so decided to ask the server for suggestion so he suggested the tagliolini he said was "specialty of the house" , my husband ordered the branzino with broccoli and my mom ordered the tuna tartare salad , the brought a basket with cold bread nothing special , they didn't even had the courtesy of bringing us some butter to spread in the cold bread , the deal breaker was the food it arrived very quickly but totally disappointing to start my meal was whatever is tasted like a mac and cheese that i could make at home i never there was supposed to have a ham that i never found very disappointing meal to be the "specialty of the house" as the server described, my husband 's fish was a open fish that has no salt or flavor whatsoever and not to even mention my mom's tartare well imagine i pile of raw tuna with no flavor not even salt or pepper with a side of what appeared to be ketchup with mayonnaise, i was so embarrassed with my mom such a special dinner turned out into a nightmare then the server took forever to bring the surprise cake for my mom and we ended up ordering a gelato and after we ordered the gelato they brought the cake and also the gelato, completely unorganized cause we were supposed to have only one dessert, after the entire unpleasant meal we ordered the check and i had never been so unhappy to pay a check like i did in cipriani , food was horrendous and extremely expensive
I had always heard the name Ciprini and was eager to give it a try. I virtually never review restaurants but this was "Much ado about Nothing"! The atmosphere is very sterile. The tables were tiny and the chairs kept bumping in to the prominent table legs. The food was "fine" but nothing to get excited about. The staff was accessible but became dramatically more attentive when I went to pay with my Black Amex. All in all I was severely disappointed and for the life of me can't understand what people get excited about.
We love Cipriani's as an authentic taste of Venice. We were regular customers at Harry's Bar in Venice as are work brought us to Venice 8 to 10 times a year and we were regulars there as we appreciated the cuisine and the vibe. Cipriani in Miami is as close to that as possible and we love it.
