Cipriani - Dolci
Overpriced for “ok” food. The rigatoni in the Bolognese was 1 minute under cooked as it was borderline crunchy.
Forgot our order, food was cold, server went on break. Pasta is very overpriced.
The food was good, but not great. Same could be said for the service. It was extremely cramped, even for New York. What makes this restaurant worth going to is the incredible atmosphere of being in Grand Central Station. It was a good experience, but I was not wowed.
great food and service, nice place, would come here again.
I had lunch at the grand central location- What made it a great experience was the Manager Fernando Dalloroso. He was pleasant from the beginning . I walked in with loads of shopping bags- after a small
shopping spree in the city- He accommodate me and my bags. He was attentive not just to our table , but
everyone having lunch. He seem to be very at ease managing the staff and greeting customers. Food was very tasty and right portion size too. I highly recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner .
Waiter not very nice. My son’s steak was hardly cooked-not m rare. Had to send back but still not cooked right. Drinks expensive. Menu choices not great.
First family trip to NYC
too expensive ; wine prices off the charts...nice vibe in grand central station
Fantastic spot to view Grand Central Station,do some people watching and relax among the hustle and bustle. Took my son, daughter in law, & her mom (who came to NYC from Brazil for the holidays). Great place to take a break during the holidays.
We had a wonderful Christmas time lunch after the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Our waiter was super fantastic and so professional.
Cuisine With no interest and no relation with italian Good.
Thé View is worth it and this is it.
Quelle déception !
It's expensive. The menu is limited at lunch time. There are no appetizers or small plates. I ordered a Club Sandwich. It came with toasted bread like a grilled cheese. That looked great. Unfortunately the filling had a couple stripes of bacon and what appeared to be cold chicken or turkey salad. Could not tell. That was not noted on the menu. No sides with it. Service was fine, though there were a trio of waiters in the section and you couldn't tell whose table ours was. Of course, the overview of Grand Central Terminal is great, but the restaurant does not live up to the surroundings.
Magnificent view to Grand Central.
Very expensive for portions offered; service was poor
One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Despite being in Grand Central Terminal, the ambiance
My husband and I had a wonderful late lunch on Christmas Day. A fun spot to people watch, with good food. The maitre d', Fernando Dallorso was very patient, kind and gracious with all the demanding guests, he should be commended! We will definitely be back!
Our service was awful. Our food was good but not worth it for $140 without drinks. I would never go back.
Perfect spot to relax after a day of enjoying the city during Christmas time.
The food was good, the service average but the noise was VERY loud!
Everything was perfect !
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Cipriani - Dolci. The servers were professional, but friendly, and very attentive, while the meal itself was superb. I highly recommend the tortellini and gnocchi. We will definitely be back!
You should double check your bill and make sure they don’t overcharge you for things you don’t order. Once they do expect exceptionally rude treatment from the female hostess who had no concept of listening to what a customer has to say not cares that they falsely charged you.
If you are hungry, don’t go there. We ordered Gnocchi and the portions were so small that we had to order a second entree. The server had too many tables to take care of and it took a while before e could re order.
GCT view, amazing. the "vittelo tonnato," incredible, go for it.
It was a shame there was no more hash brown and we had french fries instead.
Always enjoy having a meal at Cipriani Dolce; especially during the holiday season; love looking out at the hustle of GCT and the holiday decorations. Food and service are very good.
They were very accommodating to varied request. The food was excellent. Service was awesome. The atmosphere was incredible. Will definitely be back.
It’s very loud and crowded. They have crammed too many tables together. Service was not great. I ordered the artichoke antipasti and it was terrible. Very bitter. I also had tuna tartare which was just ok. I did have the main course spinach and ricotta ravioli in brown butter sauce and it was heavenly. So good!!!
if you want the Grand Central experience this is your best view
Totally unfriendly staff. The opposite of what they were supposed to be.
I was expecting to celebrate my partner birthday with the usual nice food and service but was caught by surprise....food was regular, service never even looked at us and the noise was so loud....never will i come back again.
The food was overpriced and what I would expect from a low end street vendor. If you go for drinks your experience is probably fine
The price fixed lunch was excellent and a great deal.
Expected more. Tables are excruciatingly cramped - both us and the waiter had to move the table whenever we needed to move. Food was extremely average for the price paid, and swimming unnecessarily in cheese/cream sauce which detracted from the fresh pasta. Calamari was very good. House Bellini was quite possibly one of the best I've ever had. We knew it was going to be pricey and potentially cramped, but both were ridiculous for the return on food quality and table arrangements - we saw two tables request to be moved as they were knocking into other patrons. Service was just ok - prompt, but lacklustre. Would we return - for a drink absolutely, food, not a chance. Sorry!
The portions were small the prices were high. The place was packed the service could have been better. probably not going back
One of the best places in the city in my experience. Sitting INDIDE Grand Central Terminal, yet having a relaxing meal...where else can you find that?!
Favorite place because of the location in Grand Central Station
Was hit in the head with the leg of a table. The managers were more concerned with turning the tables quickly to get people in and out as fast as possible. Our bill was over $500 so it’s not like we were just in & our after one drink. Horrible service from the management on duty and there was more than one.
Lovely and lively iconic NYC landmark. Friendly and attentive staff. Alas, everything we ordered was over salted. Very pricey and very salty.
Was visiting New York with my daughters and discovered this beautiful restaurant. The setting was beautiful and the food was delicious!!
This restaurant is lovely, the service was, initially very good but after we had finished the mains we were ignored and weren’t asked if we wanted desserts or coffee and had to ask for the bill, shame as it put a bit of a damper on the evening
