Cipriani - Dolci
Always a good idea! Specially the vanilla ice cream!
Although the food was very good, the service was extremely poor. Our waiter was basically non-existent and we had to ask others for assistance. His attitude was that he obviously disliked his job and working with customers. Poor showing for a place I once enjoyed.
Every bite was delicious! The dressing on the heirloom tomatoes was perfection. The ravioli was cooked just right. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends.
I asked for well done burger and it was pink inside so I ate along the edges and left the rest on my plate and filled up on fries.
Two of us ordered the same thing; waited about half hour; was delivered something different; when we told waiter he said oh yeah we ran out of your scallops - so they just picked something else. Wait staff was very courteous and nice about it and didnt charge. Will only be going there for a quick drink - not food!
Small plates, excellent food, and expensive, but located in one of the greatest rooms in the world. A treat if you can afford it.
Service was great. Noise level high because located in grand central terminal.
Tables too close together.
Fun restaurant pre-theater.
Great space in an iconic setting!! Service could be a little less "stiff" and more personable but loved the experience.
First off, hire a host that doesn’t have the nastiest attitude in the place. We shouldn’t have taken a seat just off of that alone. Second, our waiter made so many mistakes and started making us feel extremely uncomfortable. The food came out wrong three times and got progressively worse. We have been to Cipriani before but we feel our money and time was wasted when visiting Cipriani Dolci. Synonymous with robbery is our dining experience. Thanks for nothing but an unpleasant time.
Food was excellent, location fantastic but the service from our waiter was not great. No hit of a smile and didn’t even speak when he put down our lunch on the table.
Always consistent, always pleasant and always a beautiful spot to be in
Food was great, it’s under the large ceiling of Grand Central’s Main Concours, so can’t go wrong there. My one complaint is the cramped conditions that the servers have to deal with in regards to the closeness tables. My date felt the need to lean out of their way most of our time there. Not sure how they can make that work out better given the layout they have to work with, but wouldn’t keep me from returning.
I do love there steak so bad n everything at this restaurant is just perfect 👌🏻
Good Food in a nice place
Expensive - but quality food. Peach Bellini was very good.
What a lovely dinner place in one of New York City ‘s most iconic spaces.
It's reliable but also a fresh feeling each time I dine there. The wait staff are among the best in NYC, professional, courteous and unobtrusive.
Loved the food and staff super accommodating and nice!
View is nice
My family and I have been wanting to try Cipriani Dolci for a long time. We finally got there for restaurant week and were a bit disappointed. Where other restaurants that participate offer selections that seem to be from the regular menu these selections seemed like cheaper versions. The wait staff was good at swapping a desert due to a possible allergy but otherwise they were not very attentive. I felt like because we ordered off the restaurant week menu we were given less attention. I probably wouldn’t go back but I would recommend it because dining in the landmark that is Grand Central Terminal was a unique experience.
Excellent food. Great wine. And the center of NYC. What else do you need?
Thanks for having us
Fantastic place! The lamb is the best we ever had. The same was true when we ate @ Cipriani in Vegas. Waiter was great and enjoyed the conversation. Definitely pricey but worth it.
The service that we received at this restaurant was terrible. We were seated in the back corner even though there were plenty of open tables up front so we asked to be moved. After we were seated, it was at least 15 minutes before we were even offered water. Since we came for restaurant week, we asked for the RW menu and another 10 minutes went by before we could get it because the water girl said our water had to bring it. The food was not the best for what we paid and afterwards we found out they failed to check us on so Open table counted us a no show, so we had to contact them to say we did make our reservations. Maybe their main location is better. Try that one before going here.
Food was poor as was the presentation.Dessert inedible.Very disappointed!
Cipriani Dolce inside Grand Central is a good place for lunch or dinner, if you ignore the surrounding noise. Service was very good. We went for the Restaurant Week menu and had a nice experience. Food was very abundant and flavorful. Just a minor fail with the side broccoli which tasted funny and sour.
The Caprese was the special of the evening. It was made of sliced cherry tomatoes and was $31. Very disappointed
Cipriani is by far the best restaurant in all of manhattan. Good food, wonderful service, nice and energetic ambience: works for every occasion.
Service and food quality were impeccable as always!
The food was perfectly prepared and delicious. We so enjoyed our meal. We accidentally picked the Grand Central Station location so the ambiance was a bit noisy. Yet, we enjoyed the meal immensely. The one suggestion we'd make is to replace the rice pilaf side dish with a pasta dish. I had the veal piccata and the curry seasoning on the rice was not a good match for the piccata.
Gorgeous food, really nice location obviously the main selling point of this place. Wait staff were helpful and polite and had the right balance of attendance and letting you enjoy the atmosphere. It was a touch pricey, but you kind of expect that in a place like this. Location location location
Noise level today loud. Expensive. Great location.
Amazing service and amazing food. Even though the restaurant is located in the station where it is noisy, the atmosphere of the restaurant will make you feel like you are in the movie and relaxed.
We arrived a little early, I had requested a table by railing. Staff was very friendly and helpful, it was our anniversary. Wife had the Fillet mignon, I had the Salmon, both were great. Grand Central Station is beautiful, just a great atmosphere, and experience.
extraordinary service food and ambience
As always great food and an unusual atmosphere in Grand Central Station
Amazing food and great price for the daily menu. I suggest they improve the quality of the glass. It is a bit noisy too. But a great option
Italian cuisine at its best. Excellent though short wine list. Rapid service. And it’s Grand Central Station for People watching.
Great place to meet friends for a bite after work before takkng thectrain home to CT after a whole day in the city. Good food and good service. Great view overlooking Grand Central Station.
