Two adults and a child. Two drinks, two entrees, one appetizer. $70?

Way overpriced for the quality of the food.

Celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday. Food was a little disappointing only because it was bland. Very little seasoning. I had the Bolognese. The pasta was perfectly made and cooked, just needed some spices. My daughter's pizza was pretty good. My wife had the Spinach Gnochhi Alfredo. Again - not enough seasoning. Pretty bland. Maybe caught the chef on an off night, but really expect not to have to salt a dish to boost flavor. Spent two weeks in Italy this summer and never asked for a salt and pepper shaker once.

Took my date there. The food was great with vegetarian and gluten free options. We both enjoyed our date very much. At first it was kinda loud because it was at full capacity and a Friday night yet it got better.

We continue to return to Cipollina as it's always great food and great service. Parking can be a little challenging but well worth the risk. The bolognese is outstanding and the pizza is a wood fired gem. Will continue to return and of course, it's highly recommended!

We came here after a long day of traveling. The service was outstanding! Very attentive and friendly, but not hovering. The pizza was amazing. I'm not usually a fan of thin crust pizza, but the Classico is delicious!

Dark was my first impression when the four of us walked in. The menu had some great choices. We had the Bolognese and Shrimp Scampi. Both were good. We started with the Garlic knots which were very tasty. We shared a Chopped Salad and a Caesar Salad. The chopped was much better then the Caesar. I would not recommend the Caesar. It had an odd aftertaste. I imagine the dressing is not made in house. I would certainly go back and try a pizza or something different.

The first thing to note is that the service was outstanding. We had an early sitting and were among the first there that evening. I can see why the place filled quickly shortly after we arrived. Our table ran the gamut from pizza to pasta, and everybody left the table satisfied.

I really like Cipollina, I've been going there for decades. It's such a comfortable, soothing place to eat wood paneled and warm. Mostly the food is good to very good and value is good. They are very eager to please.

Enjoyed celebrating a family birthday at Cippollina. Food was outstanding! We tried everything from Pizza, to calamari, to the root veggie salad. Our server was very attentive and knew the menu and specials well.

I had a great evening with my sister and from out of town (Montreal). Beyond the good food, Horacio, our server, made our night unforgettable and delightful! He was kind and funny and one of the best servers I've experienced. An exceptionnel person. Thank-you Horacio!!

What an excellent food experience! The homemade pasta and sauce was fresh and fantastic. Pasta was perfectly cooked al dente.
Service was prompt and friendly.
I will definitely visit again and try another amazing dish.

We only ordered appetizers and drinks and our food took forever. When the food came out it was cold. They bought us dessert which was nice but I left hungry. I wouldn't go back.

Cipollina is one of my favorite restaurants. It's friendly, a wonderful atmosphere, relaxed, and the service is always very good. And t food never disappoints. A solid choice. The only downside is the noise level. It gets loud the minute it starts to get crowded. If they could solve that problem it would be the best restaurant in town.

This place is a gem! A few friends and I got together over lunch and this place hit the spot. The service was great. The location fit our needs (close to downtown without the downtown prices). The food was delicious and my vegetarian friends had plenty of options. When I arrived, I felt a little silly for booking lunch because there were plenty of tables open. However, I would still book a table in the evening or on the weekend as it is a smaller, neighborhood spot.

Great, creative Italian and excellent service. Went back twice in a week on our visit to Austin. Brought our toddler. While not a "kids' restaurant," it's a great place to bring them and still enjoy a sophisticated dining experience.

I've had some very nice lunches here often by myself, selecting a couple of appetizers for my meal such as the mussels in garlic and wine and fries or the white haricot been puree dip (smooth and decadent) and their excellent calamari. But this dinner wasn't anything special I'm afraid - scampi with fettucini with scarcely a sauce to accompany, (it doesn't have to be full of sauce of course but in absence of moisture, the large quantity of pasta alongside the shrimp tends to become quite tedious). My husband's chicken parmigiana was dry, the coating was overdone and therefore the dish was overall quite boring and we declined to take the leftovers home. We did enjoy the attention of the busy but capable and friendly server, I don't recall her name though. I must say that the service is always pleasant here and they don't do that thing that bugs me here in Austin these days - they don't abandon you after the main meal and make you flay your arms about to obtain the bill.

I question the integrity of any restaurant that sees a plate of food that is clearly burnt but serves it any way. There are a lot of wonderful Italian restaurants in Austin, I would not waste your time or money eating here.

We started with the calamari and mussels. I love that the calamari comes with marinara and aioli sauce. The mussels are served with two kinds of bread that was nice to dip in the delicious garlic butter. The tomato soup had a nice zest, and the Ceaser salad was authentic with a generous portion of anchovies. We split the snapper that was delicate and would peel off like petals from a rose. The brussels sprouts was a nice side to complement the fish. I would definitely recommend and go again. First class service and food.

A decent Italian place with good pizza and pretty good calamari. Wine selection adequate. Service OK and fast. Won't knock your shoes off, but nice place for lunch. When crowded it can be very noisy. Unless you get there early, parking can be difficult. Uses fresh ingredients, like buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil which is very nice.

Definitely a neighborhood spot with authentic Italian food. If I lived within a few blocks, I would visit often. Wine list is small, but well procured. Staff is eager to help and friendly. The atmosphere is quaint and simple, but comfortable and welcoming. We each had a Caesar salad, which was a little strong with anchovies compared to most, but good. The arancinni were delicious.

A good spot for everyday dinning, casual date night, or a special meal if you feel uncomfortable going to a formal spot.

Food was so bland we had to add more salt to everything, the chicken parmigiana was burnt completely on one side. Server didn't seem to want to be there any longer so service was slacking. Would be a nice little restaurant if the food and service was better.

Great meal at your restaurant. Wonderful service and very good food. Would've given you 5 stars all the way across the board except for one thing -- it's so noisy in that room. We could barely hear each other at our table when we first arrived. Later on it cleared out and was quieter but the first half of dinner was difficult. If you could do something to help the sound issue your place would be perfect! But it was still a great meal and I'll be back.

Not sure how this place has gotten good reviews. The Calamarie was not fresh and tiny at that. Our Ceasar Salads where dripping in dressing and the Bolognese sauce was brown with ham and bacon in it. The worst part was the wine that I ordered. We were leaving and I took the last sip without looking at it and I got hit with a sandy/grainy substance all down the back of my throat. It was either in the wine or the wine glass. We won't be back!

In Austin for a family visit. Decided to try based on Open Table reviews. It did not disappoint. We ordered several different entrees plus a pizza. Everyone shared and we all agreed that it will be our new go-to Italian place.

We enjoyed great service from Brooke, who attended us. The white bean purée and meatball appetizers were outstanding. The Proseco sparkling wine was fabulous and we felt we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal and company.
However, limited parking, with the bulk of it reserved for Fresh Plus market or the surrounding neighborhood was quite vexing.
