Birthday for daughter
Party of 4 and everyone got something different and we all loved it. Red fish was really great. Perfectly Prepared.
Chicken and pasta were excellent. Side salad had avocado and tomatoes on various lettuce in a very nice vinaigrette. The pizza for one was big enough for 1 and3/4 people! I got the Classico pizza. The sausage on it must’ve been home made, delicious.
Excellent staff. Kim was our waitress.
Fantastic neighborhood spot with excellent service, rustic but well-turned-out food, and reasonable prices for the quality and ambiance.
It was just ok, we tried the arancini, pizza, spaghetti & meatballs, chicken parmigiana. Nothing really stood out to make me want to go back.
Happy Hour is a wonderful time to go to Cipollina. Appetizers are well prepared; mussels extraordinary. Pizza is always fresh, healthy, and delicious. The service adds to the positive experience - friendly, helpful, just the right amount of attentiveness. Because we were there early, it was delightfully quiet!
Frequent guest here but usually for dinner. This was business lunch and food/service excellent as usual.
Everything we ordered was bland, lacking proper seasoning except meatballs from appetizer menu.
Enjoyed great food and stellar service. Planning to return for pizza and salad soon!
The food and service were excellent. Always a great meal when we are in town.
Outstanding service. Food was amazing good. Parking available
Wonderful restaurant. We arrived 45 minutes early and they were able to accommodate us which we appreciated. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. A couple of appetizers came out just before the entree's did but other than that we were very pleased.
We've been going to Cipollina for a long time, for lunch and dinner. The thing that strikes me lately is its consistency in service and food. Because that's becoming rarer in Austin now at even our favorite places. The last five times (I counted) we have eaten out for a date or special occasion, the service has been terrible. There's an expected rhythm and timing to a meal that needs to be followed. First drinks, then good timing on the starter, and then the main. Cipollina has always made customer enjoyment the top priority. I can't recall a time we have sent anything back or had a lagging order. That's quite a feat as much as we have been there. Oh, and they know and remember your name or at least your face. My husband and I have been meeting for lunch at the same place downtown almost weekly for a couple of months now, and not once does a wave of recognition cross the face of the people we see week after week. I expect Cipollina—where we get hugs, warm greetings, and haven't seen you in a whiles—to be around a long time. I hope it is. P.S. Their food is superb.
Very loud but otherwise always fabulous. Service was great and love the local vibe.
Good was great but service was slow
Cippolina is consistently delicious and friendly, without being precious, striking the perfect note. It’s one of our mainstays. What a fabulous neighborhood restaurant- with a great wine selection as a bonus!
Went for lunch. Not very busy. Food was very good. Service was excellent.
Nice Italian restaurant with great ambiance. The waiter was attentive and knowledgeable, and the food was tasty.
Not as delicious as the first time, but still good. Worth the trip.
Happened upon this space for an impromptu Mother's Day brunch, and so glad
(didn't want a large, expansive and expensive buffet) we did. Glad we could get an outside table --
there is not too much seating -- and the food was TERRIFIC! The special eponymous Cipollina pizza is perfection, and I must add their house made ketchup that went with my son's fries was so special I'd like to get some bottled. Lovely service/servers; highly recommend!
This neighborhood restaurant is a gem! Many restaurants come and go, but Cippolina has been a steady part of the Austin food scene for a couple of decades. Fantastic food and courteous service!
I come here often for the gnocchi. It’s some of the best I’ve had!
The pizza and salads were great, and the spinach gnocchi amazing! It is a bit loud.
Brooke took good care of us. Prompt service. Advice on what to order. Food was on point. This was our first time to eat there. We’ve already made reservations for Mother’s Day!
The food was delicious and our service was very attentive. The air-conditioning was set very cool and seemed to get cooler the longer we were there. Also, the toilets in the bathrooms seemed to be less than efficient and were constantly running. The bathrooms in general could use some attention and updating.
Didnt care for dark meat in chicken salad. That was odd
This is our neighborhood go-to that has withstood the trends and flash-in-the-pan Austin food scene.
Parking is a challenge
The shop is located in a strip mall which at first is an "ah oh" moment, and the interior is nice, clean, decorated, but on par with what one might expect for the type of venue. But the food was mind-blowing delicious!! We ordered the fired veggie appetiser which was interesting, unique and very delightful flavors. I ordered the spinach gnocchi and it was so incredible I gobbled it down in minutes and wanted to lick the bowl. My partner had the pizza and she said it was the best pizza she's had in Austin. I just can't say enough about how good the food was. My only complaint is they dont offer fountain sodas. It sucks to have to keep paying for canned pop. But, the food is worth the canned pop and the ambiance.
Well done Cippolina. We've been to some pretty fancy places this month, paid much more money. And didnt get even close to this quality.
We will be back, and bring friends.
Nice and calm
Our evening was fantastic there was a group of 10 of us to celebrate an engagement. Our server was fantastic and everyone in the restaurant seemed quite happy and joyful. The food was delicious and The restaurant has a nice vibe a local feel and the service was perfect
Cipollina is one of our favorite restaurants. The ambiance is so wonderful and the food and service are consistently good. We have recommended Cipollina to friends and no one has ever been disapointed.
Great lunch - your main dis salads are the best. Server should ask if customer wants bread.
We visited for an early dinner with our 12 year old daughter. Very family friendly. Food was good, service friendly, prices fair.
We enjoyed a good dinner with excellent service. The calamari was tough and chewy, but our entrees, side and wine were delicious. Our server did a great job. Nice neighborhood restaurant!
We had another lovely meal at Cipollina! I highly recommend the mussels and meatballs - outstanding!
Nice cosy entourage, good food, great service, modern decor. Value for money.
Had a open evening prior to a trade show. Quiet and wonderful with a sweet ambiance. Food and service were excellent. Going back!!!
The appetizers. Pizza and salads were awesome
Service was perfect! Love their Happy Hour sides, all food was really terrific and good value. Will definitely go again with friends. A good vibes kind of place!
Fine food, not fancy, good service. Fair price and a great lower West Side ( NY) eatery.
