Cioppino's Mediterranean Grill

I just celebrated my birthday at Cioppino. When we arrived there, there was something wrong about our Car. Pino, the owner and the chief, was extremely helpful, arranging everything for us and making sure that we could enjoy our dinner worries-free. The food was wonderful, and personally I would say, the best in Vancouver. The service was great as well. We had a great time there! We are very appreciated for the help offered by them! I highly recommend Cioppino, not just for the food but also for the people there!
P.S . The T-bone steak is the highlight of the night! love it!
Great service, Loved the burrata appetizer.
The veal ossobucco was ok, nothing extraordinary.
One of a kind dining experience in Vancouver! The food was amazing, fresh and the staff were very friendly and warm. Will be back!
It has been several years since my last dinner at this restaurant, but I was very glad to see that nothing has changed. The smaller room is beautiful, with a remarkable collections of bottles. The food is delicious, faithful to the original Italian recipe when possible (see, for example, the ossobuco or the brasato), or tastefully and inventively revisited, when finding the right ingredients is impossible (I am referring to the cannoli).
The service is impeccable and accurate.
I gave 4 stars to the ambience, because the room, even if was not too big, was very noisy. I went on a Saturday night at 9pm, and the restaurant was still relatively crowded when I left at 11pm.
The service had been great.
Our waiter was wonderful and helpful. Will return!
Completely awesome.
Excellent food and service.
I’m really impressed every single dishes
Everything was wonderful !
The best restaurant in Vancouver. Flawless. Every meal is a treat.
Awesome as usual
Great Pasta and mains
Great food and outstanding service.
Thank you.
Another exceptional meal. Pino and team are fantastic hosts!! Best Italian cuisine in town, bar none.
Chef Pino and the overall service make this a must go place.
Amazing service and food for our first time here! Our server was very attentive throughout the evening and even brought out a special dessert when she learned we were celebrating our anniversary. Food was melt in your mouth delicious with lovely presentation. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or treat.
Oustanding menu , food , wine selection and service .
We went as Ciopinno’s was recently voted in to the top 50 Italian restaurants in the world
Now we know why !
Pino runs a good room, and the food is generally excellent.
Excellent food and service. Dining room is a bit bright - would be nice not have tables right beside the private room entrance. First part of the evening was people walking past our table constantly.
Siberia still exists in restaurants. Walking my party through the half empty main dining room, then through two empty dining rooms, and seating us in the last one, ended any chance of enjoying a birthday celebration. Reservations were made weeks in advance. Doesn’t matter how good the food is. Cioppino’s discriminates in seating diners.
Outstanding indeed. Waiter was passionate, owner/chef came out to say hi and check on our meal - truly outstanding meal.
Can’t wait to be in Vancouver again and go back.
First time dining here and won’t be my last. Every aspect of the experience was outstanding. Felt very well taken care of by the staff. Between two people, we ordered two appies, two entrees and two desserts. The cocktails concocted for us were delicious. A great place to celebrate a special occasion or simply treat yourself to a fine meal.
My wife comes from Piemonte, Italy and has been raving about Cioppino’s as her favorite Italian restaurant outside of Italy. Our dining experience was truly memorable across the board with great/friendly service (no fuss accommodation of a food allergy) and amazing food. We will dine here again on our next visit to Vancouver.
Delicious food and freshly made. Thank you to everybody.
Everything was perfect except it took 20 mins after we finished dessert to get anyone to come to our table. We just wanted to pay the bill!
Incredible meal, excellent service and amazing dining experience. David was wonderful. He was very attentive and helpful when deciding on food or wine. Food was phenomenal; every dish was delicious. Everything about this evening was perfect and I would like to thank everyone for going above and beyond to make this such a memorable birthday.
Disappointing. Food was average, service was average and at times the server was actually intrusive (reaching across people, interrupting). Food was very expensive, especially for the quality. The special white truffle appetizer, with scallops, was $88.00 - for that price I expect freshly shaved white truffle, in a decent quantity. The dish came with truffle already in it, and only 3 or 4 slices. The cioppino (bouillabaise) was $45, and there was one scallop, one shrimp, one piece of fish and a couple of mussels. Not good value. We have eaten in many excellent restaurants in Vancouver and around the world, and this is not one of them. Go to the Blue Water Cafe across the street instead!
One of our favourites in Vancouver. Keep up the great work.
Vancouvers finest restaurant.
Never fails me ....Cioppino is my favourite restaurant in Vancouver.
Very good service....food was fine....wine selection was extensive but was skewed to the higher end. Could use a few more value oriented wine choices. Hate to use the word excessively priced......but well I just said it.
Food was fantastic! Caprese salad was amazing! Tomatoes were room temperature and the cheese was water buffalo cheese straight from Italy. The foie gras was out of this world! Wine selection was endless! Branzino and sable fish were cooked to perfection. Lemon tart was not too sweet, with many fresh berries accompanying it! We will be going again!!
Just awesome!!!!!
Fantastic food, excellent service.
Excellent service.
Vacationing in Vancouver and staying at a hotel around the corner. We kept passing this restaurant and decided to try it after reading the menu. So glad we did. I have a wheat and nut allergy and I was able to eat many items on the menu. They even had gluten free bread. We started with the octopus in an herb sauce. The octopus was so tender and the sauce was fabulous, with a tiny bit of heat. Oh my, it was perfect, served with tender butter beans. Then we shared the baby green salad. The Stilton and pears were a great combination. I had the Risotto with mushrooms. Every bite had a mushroom. My husband had the Cioppino, it also did not disappoint. I highly recommend!
We went to celebrate our daughters birthday and loved our experience. The food was outstanding! The foie gras was amazing and the short rib ravioli were highlights. Also amazing was the veal scallopini in mushroom sauce and the lamp chops.
Very friendly waiter how happen to be from Venezia and know Spanish very well
As always, the ambiance and food was fantastic. The gentleman who served us is very knowledgable and friendly. A highly recommended authentic gem in Yaletown.
Very much enjoyed our evening at Cioppino’s. It was our first visit and we will very likely return. Our server was fantastic — very friendly we’d been asked if we wanted everything staggered (yes we did) but then both appies came together, followed by the ravioli and then a very long wait till the cioppino. Too full for dessert but got it anyway. It’s quite the large dessert list and many seem to feature their house made chocolate. We opted to split their classic cannoli. Liked it but didn’t love it. Tried a new amaro and loved it tho!
