We had a reservation for 7:30 and weren't seated until 7:55.. it seemed as if they might have been overwhelmed and understaffed simultaneously.. service was polite but tended towards the apologetic..
Second time here and it was a good as I remember.
This will be my go to place when I’m up in Boston.
One of my favorite spots in Boston! The service is always fantastic as is the food!
As usual the food was outstanding - I always sort the same dish but our lovely bar server recommended the lobster linguine special - it was great!
The staff is always very friendly and helpful - the manager came by to make sure we were happy and actually helped us pick out a table for next visit with out of town guests we happene to mention to her earlier in the evening. Excellent experience as always!
Hubby and I went to celebrate Valentine’s day and each had a cocktail, a pasta dish, a side dish and dessert for 88 dollars. A bit pricey but nothing unexpected for Boston and VERY much worth it. My husband’s pasta (the sausage rigatoni) is one of the most flavorful pasta dishes we’ve had in Boston (North End included) and our cocktails were both incredible. The service was prompt and accurate. We were immediately seated at our reservation time and had our waters refilled before we could even pick up the bottle ourselves. Highly recommend for a special occasion.
The food was bland, the service was bad & I had to send a drink back. Need I say more? Disappointing as it is a beautiful restaurant.
We had a great time - loved it!
Great ambiance, great location - definitely would recommend. Slightly pricey, but nothing out this world expensive.
Cinquecento has a great ambience, service, and good prices. Definitely recommend the Fennel Sausage Rigatoni. You just can’t go wrong with this restaurant.
We had a reservation but had to wait about 15 minutes for our table, it was Valentine’s Day and super busy so it wasn’t a problem at all. Our waitress was very kind, upbeat, and attentive but not overbearing. Despite it being a busy night, the service was quick and our drinks came out almost immediately.
We ordered the Prosciutto di parma, Spaghetti con polpo all’amatriciana, Tagliatelle alla bolognese, and Rosa picante (cocktail). I thought my partners spaghetti was the better dish but he thought my bolognese was better so you can’t go wrong with either of these choices. Overall we both enjoyed the night and I’ll definitely be adding this restaurant to my list of places to eat.
From start to finish an amazing dining experience. The greeting as we entered was welcoming. The 2 beers we had at the bar fairly priced. Our table by the window was romantic. The service was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was delicious. I proposed to my now fiancé this night and we were congratulated with complimentary glasses of Prosecco from the General Manager. A wonderful night in a fantastic restaurant.
Great food, excellent wait service
We love this restaurant. The food is excellent and the staff treats all the guests exceptionally well. Our waiter Willy was wonderful - attentive, thoughtful, engaging and knowledgeable. Thank you for a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner!
Fantastic food and cocktails. Will definitely return.
Great food and wine list! Willy was our server and was fantastic!
Cinquecento Roman Trattoria is a great place to dine -- for special occasions or just night out on the town. The space is absolutely stunning, the service is top-notch, and the food is always delicious and innovative.
We were warmly welcomed and escorted to our table - a wonderful setting for a mini-reunion! Our server was fantastic & the food was yummy - thank you!
Third time visiting and still one of favorites in Boston. Everything was fabulous.
Retirement dinner for colleague
Fennel sausage pasta was good!
This place is so cool inside and the service was great, but our food unfortunately came cold and without everything it was supposed to have. It also got even colder as we sat waiting for the side to come—wish they could have taken it back to heat as we waited
Great food and ambiance! Wait staff was accommodating and energetic!
My favorite Italian place in Boston! Really cool location and decor. Great Drink Menu as well
our waiter was amazing. he did an amazing job. the food also was very good but quite expensive. it was worth the price and absolutely italian!!
My 3 friends and I went to CinquCento for a birthday celebration. It was super crowded and a lot of tables with very large parties - tight seating and loud. Three of us ordered the saltimboca and it was very good and creative. My dinner arrived cold (there's was luke warm) so i sent mine back . . .by the time my dinner arrived back, my friends were finished. We still enjoyed our dinner and time together but I was disappointed with the noise, crowd and my cold dinner .
Great experience as always.....truly one of my favorite restaurants in Boston.
Good and service were great....
Music too loud to conduct conversation...
Dinner was lovely.. We arrived late, but they were very gracious. Food was solid - some of it better than other dishes, staff were great, and we were able to have a relaxed dinner.. We dine their often - always satisfied
Warm trendy restaurant with a very welcoming staff and great menu. This time I had wi e but I will plan ahead next time by choosing one of the specialty cocktails to enjoy. We were ina booth, perfect for date night.
We got seated in the Bart which was over the top loud. Had to ask 3 times to turn down the Latin music. They did then kept turning it back up. I hate to be that annoying couple but it was horrible. All the food was very good though I must say. Service was little slow but the people are all nice.
The food was very good, although rather expensive. Service was excellent and the restaurant was easily accessible and we paid $10 for parking in the adjacent lot. It was very loud inside.
Family dinner out. Ordered the veal chop. Extremely disappointed. It was the last meal served to the table. I had no utensils and had to find a waiter to get some. The chop was quite thin and the polenta it was served on was cold. Not cool, but cold. For $38 It was shameful.
Stuffed into a table next to an isle, people kept bumping into us throughout the meal. Service was decent enough, but the food was terrible. Dry carbonara, and an absolutely flavorless Salmon. Time to find a new Chef.
Honestly love this place but they had a private party and were unable to serve the private party downstairs and the dining room upstairs simultaneously. We ordered apps and entrees together, took 35 minutes to get our appetizers which were cold, It took about an hour to get our entrees some were very hot some were cold. Maybe the worst service I’ve ever gotten at a restaurant.
Outstanding food and service!
Amazing fresh pasta dishes and cool atmosphere. The wine list is limited in comparison to other Italian restaurants, but they have a good selection if you're not picky!
Dinner With our son
Everything was great! Excellent service and food was awesome. Would highly recommend for brunch or dinnner!
Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Had to wait a bit for my table, but the Maitre d’ was charming and kept us aware of the progress in our wait.
