Cinque Terre Italian Restaurant
Gifted Italian-born Chef Aldo Marcon honed his skills in his grandma’s kitchen pretending he was the "Amaretto Cookie Chef". Wowing his way through many notable kitchens like the well-known Cafe Fiorello in Manhattan, he eventually moved to New Orleans, where he cooked alongside such famed chefs as Emeril Lagasse and Mario Batali.
The menu offers SIMPLE FOOD MADE WITH LOVE. Imported cheeses, cured meats, homemade pasta, superior cuts of fish and fresh seafood. The Wild Octopus is poached, pan seared and finished in a to die for garlic-herb sauce and Grandma’s Meatballs are simmered in an unforgettable Pomodoro Sauce. Homemade Fettuccine, Tagliolini, Squid Ink Tagliolini, and Pear & Pecorino Romano Cheese Ravioli comprise some of the succulent seafood specialties.
Chef Marcon is a student to his guests, but full of surprises that please them!
Service exceptionnel nourriture excellente
Pasta is always fresh and good, but the grilled octopus is to die for.
Food is phenomenal. They make their own pasta. The black ink squid pasta is my favorite with shrimp and a saffron sauce. To die for!! They have drink specials and the owner is super nice.
Best grilled octopus appetizer. All pastas are fresh and tasty.
The specials were different and delicious. The owner was very hands on and helpful with the orders and told us they have a violinist on certain days, so we want to come back. The wine list was really nice, but the wine we ordered was super spectacular!!
This is a hidden gem. The staff was very attentive and helpful. They were quick to accommodate to requests for slight menu modifications.
Cinque Terre is one of our favorite restaurants. Never had a bad meal. Service is always stellar!! Eggplant parm is the best I've ever had, and my friend had Lasagna and said other than her own, it was the best she ever had anywhere!! Wine selection is thoughtful and we always look forward to trying something new on the wine list. Kudos to the Chef - and to Daniel and Luisa!
There were 3 in our party and we were all very pleased with the food and service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends and I will be back again soon.
I love this hidden gem. The owners are spectacular. The food is exquisite. Happy it is in my neighborhood.
This restaurant was quite a find. The food was absolutely delicious and the people couldn’t have been nicer. We highly recommend this restaurant for any kind of occasion. THUMBS UP!
Go for the grilled octopus appetizer, stay for the fresh pastas!
Excellent food and Service, Strongly Recommend
Good variety on the menu. what we ate. Octopus, the Ravioli Special. the Branzino special, the Pear and provolone stuffed pasta and the Frutti de mare were all cooked and served well. we had the Sangria which I thought came in a bottle but was home made and served in a carafe (they could do a better job of making that clear on their Wine list) the service was good. It would be nice if they created a more professional atmosphere by having a dress code for the employees or put them in Uniforms.
Great neighborhood restaurant
Food is delicious. Service not so great. We arrived about 20 minutes before our reservation and the restaurant was empty. It took about 15 minutes for the server to take our order, and she then told us the specials. After we were served our dinner she did not check to see if everything was okay. (The most attentive employee was the adorable bread lady) We later ordered desert and it came way before coffee, which was served without providing sugar. When we finished dinner it was difficult to attract someone's attention to get the check. At this point, the restaurant was only 1/2 full. Perhaps they were understaffed that night?
The staff was very attentive and the food came out at the right time at the right temperature and was delicious. We will definitely come back
Excellent experience! From the food, to server, to the owner; all top shelf.
The appetizers were delicious, the main course was outstanding, the plating was excellent, and the dessert cannoli: WOW!!!
Highly recommend, neighborhood gem.
Excellent food & personal professional service. Good wine
The name of the restaurant is what caught my eye because my dad was from Cinque Terre in Italy. Simply the best Northern Cuisine you could ask for. Daniel and Licia are wonderful hosts and the staff is very friendly. I found this place about two years ago and their menu specials are mouth watering. Daniel always suggests the proper wines to go with our meals and he is always spot on.
Delicious, authentic good. Service on point! Owner takes his time and the place is inviting and with a homey atmosphere. Our second time there...will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful time with our grandkids. We all loved the food. Our service was great. Thanks again for an enjoyable evening.
We didn’t think this time was as good as our previous visits some years ago. Service was disappointing, food was good but the environment is beginning to look worn and tired.
Five of us dined on a Tuesday night. There were a few customers at other tables and we were greeted and seated promptly. The service was good, though at the beginning there seemed to be a bit of a hurry to take our order. We received good recommendations about specials and dishes. The food was delicious (octopus, various housemade pastas and sauces, fresh seafood, and housemade desserts). Wine selections were well matched to the food and fairly priced.
This restaurant is great. I have recommended to several friends.
This restaurant makes you feel like you are in a small Italian Restaurant in Italy. The food is very good
and the chef is flexible on the type of pasta and sauce. They need to have Italian music on all of the
time as it adds to the pleasure of this very good restaurant.
Burnt special, watery pasta sauce, infrequent service, nice wine.
Service was spotty & waitress seemed to be new.. wasn’t too familiar with menu, forgot about my merlot which she pronounced as mer.. lot.. she brought us a check as soon as we finish eatin our entrees without asking if we wanted coffee and dessert which we did...decor is rather stark with view of a major road and parking lot... food was very good & overrode the waitress and lack of ambiance...will be back for our next concert at bailey hall in April as we live about 30 miles away
Four of us had a wonderful dinner at Cinque Terra. Each meal was great. The stuffed Grouper was exceptional. Don’t miss the grilled octopus! The owner, Daniel, is clearly passionate about providing outstanding food and service.
We’re definitely going back soon!
The food was delicious. All homemade. Service was very attentive
This is the best Italian food around!!! Hidden Gem!!! Compliments to the chef.
Amazing as always. My favorite Italian spot. Nothing like cinque Terre!!!
The three course meal was definitely the way to go!!
The fish special was excellent & my dining companions had the pasta dishes & they were excellent
Grandma’s meatballs were very good as well.
This place is definitely underrated
First time to your establishment on Valentines Day. The violinist was a nice touch to our dining experience. The food was outstanding, we will definitely recommend Cinque Terre and will continue to patronize your restaurant.
What a little neighborhood gem. Was there for a business dinner on Valentines Day with two colleagues and we had a great time. Food was very, very good and the service was great. Everyone was attentive and continually, but not obtrusively, checking on us. Go check this place out.
The food was very good but the service is terrible so be prepared. Our waitress took our order and that was the one and only time she came to our table. I would only recommend this place because they have some great deals on their food, and the food was good.
Very nice location, service was wonderful. However do not expect good food. We ordered the oxtail special and had to send it back. Even the manager said it was gross. The branzino special was ok but not special.
Good wine though.
While I would not call this a “fine dining” restaurant it is a very good casual Italian restaurant. The complete dinners on weekday nights are a great value. They vary in price by entree. The menu has a good selection of pastas and entrees. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food. Service was very good. We would definitely go back.
The food is very good as is the service. The restaurant needs Italian music to go with the food.
It is obvious that the pasta here is homemade. All of us had some type of pasta dish and we loved all of them. The braised red in red wine sauce on my dish was excellent with big chunks of meat. The portions were perfect. And for dessert they had their version of a tiramisu which was absolutely yummy!
