Cinque Terre Italian Restaurant
Gifted Italian-born Chef Aldo Marcon honed his skills in his grandma’s kitchen pretending he was the "Amaretto Cookie Chef". Wowing his way through many notable kitchens like the well-known Cafe Fiorello in Manhattan, he eventually moved to New Orleans, where he cooked alongside such famed chefs as Emeril Lagasse and Mario Batali.
The menu offers SIMPLE FOOD MADE WITH LOVE. Imported cheeses, cured meats, homemade pasta, superior cuts of fish and fresh seafood. The Wild Octopus is poached, pan seared and finished in a to die for garlic-herb sauce and Grandma’s Meatballs are simmered in an unforgettable Pomodoro Sauce. Homemade Fettuccine, Tagliolini, Squid Ink Tagliolini, and Pear & Pecorino Romano Cheese Ravioli comprise some of the succulent seafood specialties.
Chef Marcon is a student to his guests, but full of surprises that please them!

Homemade pasta made with love
Crunchy pastry dough filled with sweet ricotta & chocolate chips
We went to celebrate a birthday and I mentioned it when we ordered drinks. The owner/server said “what does it mean you telling me it’s a birthday?” I just said we were celebrating. We decided to not use a Groupon since we all had to order off the 3 course menus which meant we couldn’t use the Groupon as well. The food was ok, I’ve had way better. The short rib ravioli filling was not really a meat texture, more like ground up like baby food, the taste was ok if you could get past the texture. The pear and provolone pasta had shrimp which had a very strong shrimp smell, they tasted ok, but were strong. The cannoli were ok, slightly grainy, and the chocolate cake, was inedible. It had an almost fruit cake texture and the taste was not good at all. Not sure I’ll go back.
Great restaurant amazing food.
The food is delicious and fresh! We loved everything about this restaurant. Will definitely go back!
Good food. Very friendly staff. Quick food
Love the rustic decor! Love the food, great burrata salad! Love the service, nice people.
To start the bread was not fresh. The veal Marsala could not be cut with a knife and tasted like is was microwaved. Same with the chicken in the fettuccine Alfredo. However the pasta in the fettuccine Alfredo was tasty. Based on previous reviews thought I would try this local place. Ok, so I tried it and never going back.
Consistently good food. Prepared fresh.
The food is outstanding and the service is wonderful. One of my favorite places
The food and service is always amazing. They always go above and beyond every time to make something special that will work with our autistic son’s diet and sensory needs! My favorite place for date nights, special occasions or a random evening out!
The food is very authentic and customer service is great. Always willing to answer questions and go above and beyond. Quiet atmosphere and makes for a great spot to go with friends and talk
Found a great little hidden gem. The food was excellent; octopus appetizer was out of this world. Everything was made fresh - the owner takes the time to talk to you. Very impressed.
not crowded food good
Excellent Italian fare in an intimate hideaway location.
Went there during the pandemic on a Tuesday. Tables were appropriately spaced and most of the staff appeared to be taking the health concerns seriously. Wasn't a fancy place but is quaint and nicely decorated. Had the free bread and ordered two entrees, two glasses or wine, and two desserts. The pasta in my meal seemed a bit undercooked but everything else was delicious. Service was excellent as well and the waiter/possibly owner/manager was very attentive and helpful. I would recommend.
Amazing food staff and drink! Can’t wait to go back
We had an EARLY dinner, being the first ones in the restaurant! So the ambiance was quiet to a point of being unnerving! The service and food were excellent. All homemade in house, serving sizes are large. The bruschetta was good - I prefer mine with mozzarella. The meatballs were very tasty - I'd go back for more! The lasagna was excellent.
After a debacle with a reservation at a different restaurant, we were in a scramble to find something local. Opentable directed us to Cinque Terre which had availability at the time we needed. The restaurant is located in a small plaza - where we tend to find the best surprises. The staff and food was delicious and redeemed our night. The owner went all out to ensure all of our needs were met and made us feel at home.
Absolutely delicious food, great service. Truly feel like family when walking in.
Food was outstanding....the salmon dish melted in your mouth. The pasta was homemade and the ravioli was plump and rich. all six of us raved about the place. We will be back
Absolutely incredible Italian Cuisine! What a gem of a restaurant that brings its “A game” to the table. Tonight we finally had the opportunity to try Cinque Terre in Davie. First, we must thank our close friends Patty & Joe who had raved about the cuisine and made this a “must go” for us. We started off the evening with the Octopus that is poached, pan seared & finished in the oven in a garlic-herb sauce as an appetizer. The octopus was so tender that you could cut it with a fork it was like butter and the taste was vividly delicious. I could not get enough of the pieces of roasted garlic. I ordered the Lasagna with Meat Sauce & Béchamel that I have been told is one of the best around. I loved it so much that I cleaned the plate with the bread that was in the basket. All I can say is WOW, what and incredible sauce. Doris had the Short Rib Tips that are slowly braised in a Chianti wine and homemade tomato sauce tossed with rigatoni pasta. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the short rib and meat sauce were melt in your mouth delicious. This was another on our must order list. We then went on to the desert and tried the Limoncello sponge cake with layers of sponge cake, mascarpone Limoncello mousse and white chocolate shavings. YES it was as good if not better than that description sounds.
They have a really nice wine selection, and a killer Sangria. Everything is fresh, and the customer service is delightful. We will recommend Cinque Terre to anyone in the area or to anyone who wants really good Italian Cuisine. We have been to some amazing restaurants but I have a feeling that this one will be a staple in our rotation.
Reading some of these negative reviews made me both laugh and feel bad for the people leaving them.
When dining in South Florida never expect a decent restaurant to have fast serve times. Good food often takes time. This isn't a short order restaurant and often dishes are made fresh when ordered.
Chef Aldo Marconhe has cook
First visit to restaurant. Pleasant surprise.....excellent food, good service. Chef actually came to the table to go through the menu. We made some adjustments and were very happy with the outcome.
Never dissapointed, great food including the specials, delicious cocktails and large wine selection. Daniel & Luisa always makes us feel at home.
This is one of the most underrated restaurants in the Ft Lauderdale area!
The food was spectacular & the chef let us make our own creations
I had the salmon with homemade spinach fettuccine
My clients had a wide variety of changes off the menu all to their satisfaction
The desserts cannoli & sponge cake were worth the calories
Will be back again
Such a wonderful hidden gem of a restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff was very kind and attentive. Definitely a place to revisit anytime you’re wanting a wonderful meal.
Everything was great from the moment we walked in until we left!
Nice setting, attentive wait staff and DELISH food!
We will be back, EXCELLENT service, food, just a great place
Food was delicious! We will definitely go back again. Highly recommended.
A phenomenal restaurant with authentic and consistent italian food!
Incredible food with incredible service! The menu truly hits it all from the quality to the prices to the variety. Left extremely full and satisfied and looking forward to returning!
The meal was delicious
No way to correct an error when I rated noise level. It was pleasantly subdued, perfect for conversation. Food was excellent overall, service attentive without being annoying, and quantity of food just about perfect.
Support this local restaurant!
Great spot for any occasion you can't go wrong.
Food is outstanding. Very comfortable atmosphere.
Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend
Excellent food, their pasta is amazing! We will definitely repeat.
Great food and service
I had a birthday dinner with friends. The food was excellent as always and the service was great.
The food was phenomenal. Definitely a hidden gem.
Hole in the wall gem in Davie Fl. The food is fresh and delicious and the owners frequently walk around and greet the customers. They also allow you to bring your own wine for a corkage fee. All the appetizers are tasty and the octopus is amazing.
Delicious food. Always come back for more and bring friends.
