This was our first time at Cinghiale and it was great. The service was very good as was every dish we tried. We tried the grilled calamari and it was delicious. I think I could eat it everyday. My husband ordered the Prosciutto wrapped Chicken and I ordered the roasted pork lion , we each got the wine suggestions from the menu with each dish, and both dishes were delicious. Our server Jasmine was very good as was the server that fills the water glasses, I’m sorry I didn’t get her name. It was Restaurant week so it was probably more crowded and noisier than normal. We will definitely try it again soon.

We went to participate in Baltimore Winter 2018 Restaurant Week and enjoyed ourselves. The service was prompt and professional and that ambiance pleasant. We had requested to dine in the Enoteca as we had not before. We enjoyed it though we felt as though we were stuck off in a corner a bit but since this was a date with my wife we were not terribly disappointed. All in all we have been many times and will go back for the occasional special events.

Service was excellent - attentive, but not rushed. Matt answered all our questions, made excellent food and wine recommendations, and paced the meal exactly how we wanted it. Food was exceptional. We kept thinking the next dish couldn’t possibly be as good as the last, but everything we tried was delicious - the lamb tortellini, the trout, the ricotta cheesecake - all perfect! Portion size was just right for us, enough, but not too much. We will definitely eat here again, the next time we’re in Baltimore!

We went to Cinghiale, in the Enoteca, for their Baltimore Restaurant week menu. The porcini mushroom gnocchi was the winner of the night, although, the pheasant ravioli was a creative entree addition I don't think we'd find elsewhere. The wine pairings were very well placed in the meal. Kim, our server, was incredibly attentive and polite. She made the dining experience very easy going and relaxed. The noise level of the music and conversation in the Enoteca was a little too loud for quiet dinner conversation but would be well suited for a larger group. The music selection of 70s and 80s R&B hits I found to be a little cheesy and out of place with the caliber of restaurant but it didn't detract from the experience. Overall, we found the meal to be of great value for the price and we would certainly consider going back again for a more formal occasion in the Osteria dining room. The experience was a cut above for Italian cuisine, which at other venues can often seem tired and uninspired. Go out for a night here if you're looking for something outside of the lasagna, baked ziti, and meatballs of a standard Italian eatery and want to try something new but authentic.

One of Baltimore's Best. Have been here several times (always come during restaurant week). Food and service are always excellent. Restaurant week gives us a chance to "explore" the menu. The pheasant ravioli was amazing

Just an overall wonderful experience at Cinghiale. From the time you step in to the restaurant you are immediately greeted with warmth and professionalism. The sommeliers are extremely knowledgeable, the waiters extremely professional yet affable. The food is really really great. You will not be disappointed.

I had a very disappointing meal at Cinghiale. The service was significantly less than optimal. They consistently gave my food to my friend, and her food to me. This was done for every course. My main course came out first and my friend had to wait for her main course for several
more minutes. Meanwhile, I tried mine and it was cold and it had to be returned (I have only had to do this one other time in my life). I was then given a new plate of food that came out the same time as my friend's and my food was now at the correct temperature. When we left, we both gave our coat check tickets to the appropriate person. The gentleman got my friend's coat but did not come out with mine. He then asked me "what does your coat look like?" My response, "I just gave you my ticket". I had to describe my coat before he was able to find it. The restaurant was not crowded so there was no excuse for this quality of service and the quality of the food. I recently had my first dinner at Charleston and it couldn't have been more perfect so I was excited to eat at Cinghiale. I am sure that Cindy Wolf would be appalled at the service we received. I must add, however, that the food staff, despite the glitches that evening, were very kind. This is very important to me. I am hoping that for people who plan to eat there in the future, that this was a very "off" night. On the other hand, the valets were fast and attentive on a very cold evening. Thank you to them.

Good dinner
We were a bit disappointed in our waitress. Very cold to us and forgot my cocktail and had to be reminded when she was asking my husband if he wanted his second glass of wine. Aside from that, this restaurant has reliably good food and you can hear conversation which is important. We are glad they have valet parking.

Cinghale is always delightful because of the atmosphere and location. For restaurant week, however, the food was only OK which is not customary for their food. The soup was too salty to eat, the cinghale (wild boar) was delicious but tough, and the dessert (a chocolate tart) was only mediocre. I expected better since my previous meals there was significantly better.

First time visiting. Went for restaurant week and stuck to that menu to see what the chef delivered. The food was outstanding, we were all very impressed. The regular menu looks wonderful and we are looking forward to trying it.

Be sure to scrutinize your check, as we were charged for an extra "prix fixe" meal. Fortunately, we saw it and had the bill adjusted.

We were celebrating a birthday. The staff was very attentive in acknowledging the occasion and gave us a nice cozy table in the corner - yet we had a nice view of the dining room and the waterfront. Our waiter did a wonderful job with giving us suggestions when asked and explaining the dishes/beverages we selected. My favorite was the tortellini and my husband had the duck - which he said was excellent! Thumbs up all around.

Outstanding service from hostess and waitress. Jimi would be a reason to come back. Wine suggestion was great.

Menu too big and cumbersome and print to small. Almost need a flashlight to read.

Need more red sauce dishes on menu.

Lovely place. Would come back for special occasion.

Cinghiale has been our favorite place to dine for 9 years. We go for birthdays, anniversary's, and New Years. We also go when we want a delicious meal served by a staff that knows us and takes good care of all of our needs. The food is wonderful, the restaurant is beautiful and the service is impeccable. The wine can be overwhelming but the staff is very knowledgeable and we've always appreciated recommendations. The sommelier is always available if there is an unusual question.

Cinghiale is one of our absolute favorite places to dine and spend time with friends. On New Year's Eve, we brought friends to celebrate their birthdays and ring in the new year. We also hosted our office Christmas party there. As usual the food was excellent! Surprisingly, the service was underwhelming.. which is odd.. We had to keep finding random people to refill drinks. I'm assuming this was just a one-off problem. We will return of course.

Four course prix fixe for New Year's Eve, which overall was pretty good. The first two courses were excellent! Our entrees and desserts, however, left a little to be desired. While the panna cotta delivered, the chocolate cake and hazelnut tart (offered for free when we got that by mistake instead of the cake...) seemed as if they were prepared at least the day before and thawed for the occasion. We were very happy with the service, from the valet to the wait staff!

I went last year for a friend's birthday and brought my family back this year for our holiday dinner. The food was great and the service was wonderful (Our waiter was very patient with my older parents and grandparents, explaining the menu to them and even bringing my dad some reading glasses when he was having trouble seeing the menu). Always a lovely time!

Our dinner reservation was on Christmas Eve at 7:30, party of 5. We waited 45 minutes with little apology from the Gentleman coordinating seating. We were all quite irritated that we were not at least offered a cocktail/soft drink/something as a gesture of good will to acknowledge the inconvenience - it's good business to keep those waiting happy. Poor customer service. Great Food.- unfortunately the night started on a bad note.

Chingiale is, very simply, a wonderful restaurant. The menu offers a wide variety of meats, fishes, pastas and vegetable dishes with Italian roots, each prepared with interesting flair. The servers are cordial and informative but neither intrusive or obsequious. Delicious, sophisticated, comfortable--perfect pitch.

This was our third time for a special night out to dinner. Each time it has been outstanding. The food is good and I especially like that you can order small plates. A lot of the experience has to do with the server and they have always been friendly and knowledgable and not too stuffy. We will be back again.

It was a return visit to our favorite place ! We were met with immediate recognition of who we were and they knew I would want our special server AMY. My birthday was perfect thanks to everyone there , once again they enveloped us in sincere service ,warmth and unbelievable food ! We even had the pleasure of meeting chef ... it was so kind of him to spend time chatting with us and it just proved why the whole atmosphere there is so wonderful . My only sorrow was that they were not open for lunch the next day before we left for home ! My husband and I are still talking about the pheasant and the artichoke salad and the foie gras of course . Thankyou again !
