This place has found its footing again. Food was excellent. Scallops with cauliflower was first rate. And service couldn’t have been better. (Server was Jimi. Great, attentive and personable.)
We always enjoy Tuesday's half-price bottle of wine night. There is a new dish on the menu that we had - Tagliolini - the pasta was similar to thin pappardelle and it had chunks of razor clams and rockfish - please keep this on the menu, it is a definite winner. I like having the option of a half portion or full portion so as to have the option to try something else. The service is always impeccable and the staff's ability to remember our favorite drinks and wine is very impressive. We always choose Cinghiale when entertaining clients from out of town (or even in town).
Food was excellent and our server, Victor, exceeded that.
Atmosphere was wonderful. Our waiter was horrible and we had to keep asking to get water refills. Food was decent but there is better in Baltimore.
Hadn't dined here for several years. The major down side was all the detoured streets that mad routing and arrival difficult. It was a good experience, with a menu that we don't often see when we go out. It seems that they have relaxed the dress code in the Main dining room from prior reservations. Sommelier was kind but difficult to understand. Experience was a repeat.
As always , Cinghiale never fails to please us. That's why we drive for 45 minutes to eat there. The pasta is the highlight of the meal. Always made fresh and very innovative. The service is top notch. The servers go out of their ways to cater to all needs of the diners. The service is very professional, yet very friendly and pleasing. The managers, Ingrid and Paul, always treat us like royalty.
The wine list is very creative , very fairly priced, and one of the most comprehensive anywhere. Many great wine under $40 and reflects Mr. Forman's extensive knowledge of Italian wines. Most are selected personally by him.
It's eay to see why Cinghiale has remained one of the best!!!!
To sure to try Cinghiale's new sister restaurant in Columbia, Lupa. It's well worth the visit and like all Forman/Wolf restaurant won't fail to please. Less formal than Cinghiale, but still great food and wines.
We frequent this place. It absolutely never disappoints. From the front door to the food, every box is checked.
The service was excellent. Wines list is impressive but my entree was salty.
Our server, the food and the environmental was absolute the BOMB ! We loved it and look forward to fine Italian dinner.
The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. This was our first time going to Cinghiale but it won't be the last!
Our second time at Cinghiale and it certainly won't be our last. Very attentive service, excellent food. Lasagna was different than the heavy lasagna that many restaurants serve. Nevertheless, it was excellent. Not smothered in pasta sauce but very flavorful. Appetizers, including beet salad and mozzarella with dates were both excellent. Chocolate dessert (mousse I think) was very rich and shared among the four of us.
Very good food and cocktails and wonderful service.
Do not recommend for a Friday night. Ambiance was blah. Server was not personable and slow when it wasn’t busy.
Welcoming and great food. Accommodating to requests.
We were visiting Baltimore for the weekend and were recommended to cinghiale. It was an excellent choice. We had oysters for an appetizer which were excellent. My husband had the price fixe which was a great value. The duck was prepared perfectly. The preparation was excellent for everything. We asked our server for a wine suggestion and she offered an excellent wine based on our liking. All in all it was a wonderful dinner. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back the next time we’re in Baltimore.
Really had a great experience. The ambiance was really lovely and the service/food was excellent.
This was our first visit to Cinghiale and it certainly won't be our last! We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table on the enoteca side of the house, which is a little livelier than the more formal dining room. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and made several recommendations about the menu. We chose the prezzo fisso menu which got us something from every part of the menu. All the food was expertly prepared and the wine pairings hit all the right notes. Look forward to dining there the next time we're in Baltimore!
Amazing food.. awesome service.. we will be back again.. they helped make my girlfriends birthday night special..
Great! Had a very positive experience
Very lovely restaurant. Food was very good and service was great.
We went to Chinghiale for my birthday dinner, as one of the last nights out we expect to have before our second child arrives. It was absolutely wonderful. As we have come to expect with any of the establishments run by Cindy Wolf and Tony Foreman, the food was outstanding, and the service exceptional. We will gladly return again, as this was our first visit, and will recommend it to friends. We both had the 4-course prix fixe menu, and were very full and satisfied with all the variety we were able to have.
Amazing food.... we did the Price Fix menu with the wine pairing.... portions were actually too big!!!! Had to take the desserts to go......The food was fabulous, wines were spot on with the courses.... Would recommend to anyone that want to go!!
What a disppointment, We thought about going there for Valentine's but were given a 5:30 time, so we changed it to the day after, and the restaurant was relatively empty. We used valet parking which was convenient. After we got seated, our waitress asked us if it was our first time at this place, and we told her it was. What a mistake that was, for she took us through the menu as if we werte country bumpkins and had never dined in a restaurant prior to that evening. I had hoped that they would still have some bronzino which I had seen on their Valentine's menu, but they did not, so I decided to go for the buffalo mozzarella as a starter and a New York strip as a main course. There was no olive oil with the salad so I had to ask for some. I had ordered the steak to be medium, not dry and well done and not raw. It was not served on the bone as is the case in my entire prior experience, and the meat was tough and dry and almost inedible. My wife would not allow me to complain so I left a lot of two small round pieces that looked more like tournedos. Then I ordered cheese cake for dessert---this was the only cheese cake in my life I did not like. This is a good restaurant to go to if one wants to start a diet as the food was not all good, the coffee was weak and watery, and the price was too high for such fare. I could not wait to get the check and leave. My wife's food was also unappetizing, and she ordered a main course of scallops that might have satisfied a seven year old girl it was so insubstantial. Well, it is too bad, as we have been looking for new places to add to our regulars and the prices were no off putting, it was just the food. The bread was great, but they never asked if we wanted any more. I would not go back there. The maitre d' or manager who served me my steak said she wanted to make sure I was happy with it----she never returned to see if it was satisfactory.
Excellent dining experience overall. Wine list goes on for pages and provides a nice range of price points. Food was very good and the service outstanding. A bit pricey but for a special evening out, why not?
Great atmosphere and incredible Italian cuisine! Perfect for date night and special occasions.
We came for Valentines Day and weren’t sure what to expect on a day like this. They did a great job of not overbooking and the pre-set menu was excellent. Our server was so friendly and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding!! We are still talking about how good our meals were. This was our second time here and we will definitely be back for a third very soon!
Wonderful food and impeccable service! The scallops are truly the best ever. Perfectly crisp on the outside and moist inside- pair with the risotto and it’s amazing! Grilled calamari is fantastic!
So amazing! Food was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed the carpaccio. The gnocchi might be the best thing I have ever eaten. Little pillows that just melted in your mouth. The cinghaile was cooked perfectly. So delicious, can't wait to return!
Wonderfully accommodating to special diet needs!
Very good food but too loud. It was hard to have a conversation
Cinghiale has always been a good eating experience for us. This night was no different. Chris, our waiter, was knowledgeable, attentive, and generous. The food was prepared with panache and served with style--as usual. We especially enjoyed the gnocchi on this occasion.
We had our choice of seating for a late Thursday evening dinner in Cinghiale's enoteca (wine bar). Fun and comfortable atmosphere with warm tones. The perimeter and bar area is surrounded by empty autographed wine bottles marking special occasions and/or a celebration of a good meal. We enjoyed the bread selection with olive oil for dipping; the escarole salad; and a light and tasty squid ink spaghetti served with grilled calamari, razor clams, and just the right amount of lemon zest. My daughter loved the scallops with braised artichokes, and carrot puree. Excellent wine selection. Our meals were backed up due to a large party, however I was comped with a delicious white wine.
When in Baltimore and looking for great Italian food Cinghiale is top of the pyramid!
Started with my date an I each consuming to expertly crafted very dry vodka martinis at the bar. The bar features ornate wood carvings, marble top and superb bar tenders. Our entrees were perfect and I particularly enjoyed the cod fish with polenta. Soup of the day, mushroom, was warm and filling and salad, crisp and expertly dressed. Our waitress was responsive but never had to be beckoned for the next course. She was aware of our style of dining and was timely with each course. Cinghiale is lively and spacious but not noisy and boring. Truly a gem in Charm City!
Delicious meal. One slip but recovery was smooth and satisfactory. Cinghale will not disappoint.
Never disappointing. Great service, great food.
My boyfriend and I had dinner the other night, great service and amazing food!! I would highly recommended this restaurant and we will certainly be back for dinner soon!
We thoroughly enjoyed the grilled calamari, oysters, foie gras, scallops, artichoke risotto, and duck! They were all amazing!!! The staff was perfect and very accommodating. Delightful views and reasonable pricing for great food.
Celebrated my wife's birthday here. Wonderful, attentive service but not intrusive. The meal was delicious and we loved the slow pace that allowed us to relax and enjoy a romantic dinner. We never felt rushed. Would definitely go back!
Amy was our server, she was Great. Her attention to my wife’s question made our night! Always a dining delight @ your establishment.
Cuisine de qualité, service attentionné ambiance tranquille et chaleureuse.
