The Osteria at Cinghiale has the feel of an elegant tavern with white table-cloths and mahogany and leather banquettes. It features a large farm table for a special family-style dining experience.
The Enoteca at Cinghiale celebrates the modern Italian table. It is designed to be a playful section of the restaurant, as well as a gathering place. The space has a lively urban bustle that features rich woods, wrought iron chandeliers and a handcrafted marble tile floor. Adjacent to the main bar is a Salumeria that features traditional meats, cheeses and antipasti.
The menu is complimented by an over 500 label wine list that features Northern and Central Italian wines. World of Fine Wine magazine recognized Cinghiale for having one of the best wine lists in the world for 2016. Outdoor seating is available, weather permitting.
Usually a very professionally run restaurant, they were a little off their game tonight service wise. My server didn’t even appear to be in uniform. Grabbed and poured the bottle of wine from the neck of the bottle(?). Strange. Food was delicious as always
Love this place
Enjoyed a nice relaxing dinner with a fabulous server.
Excellent Italian restaurant rivaling the best I’ve been to, both in the US and in Italy
Extensive wine list
Pricing actually less than I would have spent for similar food in my local area
No negatives and hope to eat here again
The service and atmosphere was as expected and everything we hoped it would be for an anniversary dinner. Unfortunately the food was very ordinary and not as we expected or hoped for.
Excellent food with excellent service. The menu is a feast with a strong wine list.
Amazing food, pretentious server
we had another great dinner at Cinghale: food and wine were top notch
We were celebrating both of our birthdays. We arrived early to check out happy hour which was pleasant with several wines priced at $5 a glass and a $5 cocktail of the day. They also had a $6 appy plate. We could have been satisfied with 2 plates and a couple drinks, yet we were there for the 4-course pre-fixe dinner.
Our daughter had made the reservations for us and noted our birthdays. Once we sat down at our table, we were presented with complimentary glasses of bubbly in honor of our birthdays. That really was a nice surprise! Our server was extremely professional and had excellent timing.
For our first course, we had the grilled calamari and deconstructed prosciutto, arugula and nectarine salad. Both were delicious. I would definitely order the prosciutto salad again. It was a very generous portion! Next, came a pasta course. This was our favorite - we had the short rib over noodles and squid ink spaghetti with seafood. We loved both pasta dishes!!! Our next course was Bronzini fish and Cinghiale rack. Both dishes were good, just not as multi-dimensional as our first two courses. We enjoyed a nice bottle of red Italian wine. For dessert, we had an individual pumpkin cheesecake and tiramisu in a martini glass along with espresso and a cappuccino. The pumpkin cheesecake was the best my husband has ever had.
We really enjoyed our birthday celebration at Cinghiale and next time will try La Cucina della Nonna rustic menu.
Everything was perfect! Wonderful experience... the area is beautiful
The ambiance was formal and unfriendly. Even the seating was uncomfortable. The food was only average for a high end restaurant. Very disappointed and will not return.
Parrish provided excellent menu suggestions wine and service. He is a tremendous asset to your restaurant!
Overpriced and over pompous . Chef should care more about taste than pretentiousness
Service and atmosphere - unbeatable as always! I was underwhelmed with my pork dish. There was way too much breading and it was dried out. Also, I thought the price was too high for this entree.
I will return and try another dish.
Not your average Italian restaurant. The food is excellent and the wine list is well selected. The menus and the paring are great value but be aware that the portions are more generous than your average tasting / prefix menu. The best restaurant on that hotel area. Will be back if in town.
This place has a very elegant atmosphere, which is suitable for celebratory events, such as anniversary and birthday. The food was well seasoned and delicious. The server was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. Would highly recommend anyone to visit this place!
Food was good as always but the service was uncharacteristically poor. We had to prompt our server for cocktails, appetizers came out before the anti pasta, and one person did not eat much of their entree and the server neither noticed nor asked if they would like something else.
Service slow, confused on who's order to take first (i.e women then men). Only asked once regarding drinks, long pause in between courses. Dining room half full and many staff.
The filled pasta dishes our table ordered were all undercooked, which was very disappointing. Service was great, though.
Well designed plates at every course. Fabulous wine selection and grappa varieties. Flavors were sensitively balanced and the quality of ingredients was exceptional.
Christopher was attentive and knowledgeable. He accommodated every request and offered very good advice.
I read several reviews before making a reservation at Cinghiale for a party of six and was persuaded to give it a try. I am always skeptical of Italian restaurants since I grew up in Italy and cooking is one of my hobbies: my expectations are quite high. I was not impressed at all by this place. The food was mediocre. I had the maccheroni alla chitarra all'amatriciana. The pasta was undercooked and the sauce was missing the characteristic umami of the amatriciana. The charcuterie plate was very good and quite abundant for two servings. The wine selection was impressive and the Amarone I picked from the list was fantastic. I had a taste of my wife's cavatelli, ricotta, zucchini, etc. and again I was not impressed at all. The rest of the party seems to have enjoyed their meal, but not as much as their wine.
Wonderful meal, I highly recommend the swordfish. The waiter was attentive as well as helpful with the wine selection, and they have an extensive choice of wines.
Wait staff was not attentive. Food was slow coming out of the kitchen and when it came it was just plopped in front of us. No effort was made to add pepper or parmigiana cheese. We had to flag down a waiter and ask for it. Not good for a high end Italian restaurant. Also one of the drink orders was forgotten. Staff seemed rushed even though the house was not full.
Very bland food without much taste
Very nice dinner : food was great and excellent service!
The noise is a little too much but we like the overall experience
Went for a business meal on a Tuesday evening. The service was outstanding, never hovering, but always there when something needed to be refilled. Had the Duck as recommended by our server. It came out and looked like a steak cooked medium rare. The outside tasted like bacon. It was one of the best meals I have ever had and extremely affordable. Highly, highly recommend!!
We come here every year to celebrate our anniversary. Service is always exceptional. The food was fantastic. The fixed price menu where they pair your wine for you is by far the best part of the experience. We loved our dining experience.
Fantastic service. Great suggestions for our group that led to a great meal and drinks
Love this place!
Manager Andrew took wonderful care of us from beginning to end & Christi ensured we had everything we needed throughout the evening with seamless service. Every special touch was appreciated. Thank you, we will be back!
Awesome, as usual. Superb service, atmosphere, ingredient quality, and culinary creativity. Meat (fish, fowl) entree's ('Mains") were perfect, but don't come very hungry. A "go-to" special restaurant!!!
Left side of menu prix-fix is a bargain!!!!
Restaurant is cold, the food gets cold as soon as it is served and ordering the fish which normally
comes with both fillets, here, they only give you half a fish and then charge you $34.
Overall, a very poor evening.
Best charcuterie in Baltimore. Parrish is a excellent waiter. Pasta was terrific as was the tomato mozzarella salad. The lemon cake desert was forgettable but not bad. All around a very good experience.
I had friends in town and we thought this would be a good place to meet for dinner to catch up. The food was delicious! Unfortunately, it seems that they forgot to put in our dinner order, so it was a bit of a long evening, but they brought us plenty of freebies to keep us fed and entertained, and we had a delightful time. The calamari was the best I’ve ever had, and we all enjoyed our salads and pasta dishes. I would definitely go back!
Got together with friends for drinks and dinner. Bartender was attentive and we were seated in the casual Enoteca dining area. We ordered a charcuterie platter that was wonderful. Our waiter was excellent and food arrived timely. All courses were delicious and wine selection was good. We had the grilled margret duck and the black ink spaghetti and New Jersey scallops.
Will return again!
Our server, Parish, was exceptional. The food was fresh and creative and thoughtfully prepared. Really special place on Baltimore harbor.
Excellent food, superb service, best waiter I’ve had in years. Great place for a date or special occasion.
Always a fabulous evening at Cinghiale! Fantastic service, an ever changing menu that's creative and elegant, and an outstanding wine list. I had the Veal Milanese and it was, quite plainly, the best version I've had since dining in 'authentic' Italian restaurant in the North End of Boston. Tender, perfectly prepared. Another wonderful experience.
Quaint authentic Italian wine bar with bold menu. Brought my wife gluten free bread. Excellent service
