Cinco Tacos Cocina and Tequila Ratings and Reviews
I love friendly staff, the make you feel at home and try to get to know you, every time we go there they really pay attention to my kids 9 & 10 yrs, the bean soup is a must every visit, and their asadero queso, good selection of mezcales, and service has a great timing.
We were there on a slow night. Servers, cooks and staff usually make mistakes more often when slow than busy. Not here. The server was an Hispanic man with a mustache. I wish I could remember his name to compliment him and recommend him. But he made sure we never wanted for anything without being intrusive. The al pastor was my favorite.
I went to Cinco Tacos for dinner with friends. Walking in, it was almost empty. They must get a lunch crowd, because there was hardly anyone there that evening.
We were served with complementary chips and a trio of salsas. The salsas were a good mix - something for everyone. I can't say I liked their chips at all. They were thick and a bit over fried.
I picked this place because I wanted the ceviche, which was totally worth it. I ordered the premium cevicheand split it with a friend for an appetizer. I could have made it my meal! It was well seasoned (maybe could have used a touch more citrus), but I can't really complain about it at all.
The Cinco Tacos I ordered were not all that wonderful. One of my friends ordered the Pastor Tacos and didn't have anything super wonderful to say about them either.
Overall, I don't really recommend going here if you want good tacos. They can't help that parking is absolutely a disaster, but the tacos were only so-so. You can find much better tacos elsewhere. I do think the ceviche is worth the trip though.
The food was not great but the lack of service was even worse. It was not crowded but I was not the only one that had to summon the waiter who was seen just chit-chatting with his pals around the register stations. It was also uncomfortably cold and I'm a person that hardly ever gets cold!
I was really looking forward to going here because the menu looked great and had lots of seafood options. We both ordered the crab enchiladas and we were disappointed. They had a very fishy taste to them, and they weren't very hot. It seemed like a made up dish that was just thrown in a microwave and not cooked long enough. The beans were awful. I didn't even eat them. On a positive note, our server was very friendly and attentive. Some of the dishes coming out from the kitchen looked very good, so maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. And it was an expensive "wrong thing". We may give them another try, but I would not recommend them unless we go back and have a different experience.
Normally i would be jumping up and down praising this Place. But yesterday was a Bit of a disappointment. We Made a reservation The Night before and requested patio seating because it was such a gorgeous day. When we got there The Manager informed us there were no Tables available outside due to reservations for Cinco de Mayo. Um hello isnt that a Bit contradictive Since we had a reservation? That set The Overall Mood for The evening. We finally got a table after I told a waiter that me and my girlfriend wanted to sit due to the bar being over crowded. There was a total of 5 Open unused Tables Outside the entire time we were there. The waiter was great. But the poor management style from the beginning and the feeling we were being discriminated against because we were a lot "younger" than the crowd was a bit off putting and made what was hoping be a relaxing date night and drinks not that enjoyable.
