Cinco Tacos Cocina and Tequila Ratings and Reviews
The food was outstanding as always! I will say over the past few months the service has been quite slow at lunch and dinner. Time between drinks, apps & meal could be shortened up. I had to summon our waiter each time we needed something for the table. All in all, it was a good experience because we weren't in a rush. It's still my favorite restaurant!
I thought the guac could have been better, they just basically bring the avocados out smooshed up and you make it yourself, but they give it to you on a plate, so you can't really mix as well as it should be. And it was pricey for a "do it yourself" appetizer
Tried Cinco Tacos and was not expecting greatness but that's way we got, food, drinks and service all great! I'll definitely be back!
Cinco is also walking distance to a fun bit of nightlife, Memphis a few doors down, great live music and Always a fun crowd!
When I visit Dallas, I usually book a room in Addison so that I can walk to Cinco Tacos Cocina and Tequila (aka Lazaranda Modern Kitchen and Tequila). I find this restaurant to be quite festive, the food is good, as well as the service. The margaritas are really good, and pack quite a punch. This last time I had Osso-Bucco again , and it was as good as the first time. My next visit, I will try the Octopus. The Addison area has a ton of restaurants, and I usually will try a new one every time I visit, but I make sure I leave an evening for Cinco Tacos.
A word of advice, get there a little early for happy hour, and the margaritas are $6 for a huge glass!
We loved everything about this restaurant from the bartender, host, waitstaff and food. The three different salsas that they serve were so good that we couldn't decide which was we liked best. The food was outstanding. The bartender made a drink for me that was not on the menu. I found the recipe on my phone and he gladly made it for me!
We dined at Cinco Taco last Friday and were pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic and margaritas better than most. It is a Mexican restaurant with an emphasis on seafood. Between the table, we has salmon, blue crab enchiladas (mine) and scallops. Everyone raved. Only down side was the service was slow - ordered drinks and appetizers and the appetizers were 1/2 gone before drinks arrived. Once dinner was serve, didn't see our waitress again until we were ready for the bill (would have ordered a 2nd margarita it'd I had the opportunity).
Overall, great meal and will be back. Anyone can have an off night service wise so it won't keep me from returning.
All their seafood dishes are very good. Outside of that the salads come out a little uneven. What my wife ordered is not what she received. The waiter was very apologetic and did bring her another salad. Unfortunately by then I had pretty much finished my dinner and she had kind of lost her appetite.
We were recently in Addison for the FCS Championship Game in Frisco Texas. Lazaranda was within walking distance of our hotel and they were able accommodate our large group with a reservation for 14. From the greeting at the door til the time we left the restaurant, the service was second to none. The food matched the service! If the NDSU Bison make it back to Frisco next year - we'll definitely go back to Lazaranda!
Food this place by accident. Amazing experience, however I am still confused about the new name change, as the new name doesn't fit the upscale dining experience that I had in my opinion. It was perfect! I hope the new name doesn't hurt this gem of a restaurant.
Laaranda is a great place! The food is delicious, the open design is fun, and the staff is courteous and friendly without being overbearing or obnoxious.
The only hiccup was with the room temperature... The night we went, it was chilly to cold in the dining area (below 65 degrees). I don't know if it has to stay that cold to make the kitchen bearable b/c of the open design, but it took away from the ambience just a little. I counted at least half a dozen people keeping their coats on throughout dinner.
This won't keep me away, I'll just have to throw a jacket in the car if I'm going...
We arrived at 7pm Friday night. We all were so pleasantly surprised by the cool / modern atmosphere & attentive service! Had to move our table selection from patio to inside due ou a cooler & windier night than expected. They accommodated our last minute change request immediately. We enjoyed 2 servings of the shrimp ceviche. The fish tacos were yummy. The authentic style chicken with mole sauce was good but the level of spice in the sauce + large quantity of sauce made the dish a little overwhelming. Less sauce would be preferred next time. Our service was excellent & the large + unique drink selection made for lots of fun, tasty choices. We will be back!!!
I usually get the Sea Bass but since I ordered off of the lunch menu, I ordered the Mahi. It was a little dry (over cooked?) but the sauce, grilled veggies and rice were great. Service in the bar area (bartender) is usually very attentive and friendly but not this time 😟. Another server had to pick up the bartender's slack.
My wife thought her seared scallops were among the best she's ever had. The Margaritas were excellent. On the other hand, my crab enchiladas were mushy and unappealing, drowned in too much cheese sauce. The spinach was not tasty. The visual presentation of the dish was average and almost all white with no color variation. The room noise was a little difficult to deal with, and the wait staff was slow in response. Our waiter forgot that one member of our party of four ordered a glass of wine and she had to ask twice. I think I'll pass on a second visit to this restaurant.
Based on all the great reviews we decided to try this place out. Overall good quality was really good. I had the ribeye and for $30 is was very well prepared. My wife had the ahi tuna salad and while the dish was well prepared, it was quite small for a dinner size portion and for $15 or so. The drinks were all good that we tried and overpriced as most restaurants are these days.
Unfortunately the service didn't quite match the level of the food. Our server forgot the salad my Dad asked for. Then when dinner was served, he forgot my wife's dinner altogether. Additionally he was quite slow in general considering we arrived at 5:45 pm on a Saturday night and it was very not busy at that point and he saw that we had 3 kids.
Overall we will be coming back but hopefully getting another server.
