CinCin Ristorante + Bar Ratings and Reviews
CinCin is a great restaurant and the food is uniformly good, but the service really makes or breaks it. The time before we had incredible, polite and accommodating service where everything just flowed. This time around the waiter was nice enough, but the flow of the entire meal was off and clunky. Little effort made whether they were interrupting a conversation and long period of time waiting, even though the restaurant was not nearly full at the time.
So we went from just amazed to 'good food...too bad about the service'. And walked out with a totally different point of view and not enthusiastic to come back. So many good restaurants in Vancouver that everything has to pull together or else not worth coming back again.
Fantastic food and good service! Waiter was knowledgeable and recommended some great items. The Tagliatelle was fabulous as well as the roasted chicken. The Lemon brûlée was to die for! Wine was a little on the spendy side, but that did not detract from the overall experience. Will definitely be back!
We've been here many times and always enjoyed the food, ambiance and service. Our most recent visit was amazing - after a service issue (waiter spilled a plate of food on the table) - after moving us to a new table the manager came over and advised us the whole meal would be complimentary (food and drinks) - we really appreciated this but it was much more than necessary to make up for an accident.
Dined at Cincin over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The menu offered a wide range of dishes and the servers were great and knowledgeable about the food.
We ordered the Parmesan Souffle, Rib Eye steak and Pork Tenderloin. All were cooked to our liking. For dessert, we ordered the Hazelnut Truffle Opera Cake. It was very, very good and a perfect ending to our meal.
Overall, Cincin is a solid choice when you're in the area and are looking for something fancier. The only complaint I have would be that the tables are a bit close to one another and that you would probably end up eavesdropping on other people's conversations even if you didn't want to.
We came to Cin Cin for the Dine Out Vancouver menu. We were impressed by the large staff of friendly, welcoming employees. We were pleased by the absence of TV screens; however, the disco music throbbing in the background seemed unnecessary. The food was all tops. I especially enjoyed the risotto with lemon and hazelnuts.
Our server was excellent. The wine was excellent. Too bad my husband's meal and our appetizers were so disappointing. My husband and I were at CinCin for Dine Out Vancouver. One of three restaurants we selected for this annual event. The selection from the Dine Out menu appeared to be something to look forward to but we ended up being disappointed. My husband and I each ordered the prawns and portobello mushroom appetizer. Two prawns? Seriously? I had the risotto as a main, which was very good. My husband ordered the strip loin, medium. It was the toughest steak we'd ever had. We wished we had ordered from the regular menu, as we have dined there before and not been disappointed. We like to share so fortunately my husband enjoyed my risotto as much as I did. We both feel that given Cin Cin is highly rated, they could have done better, way better. Very poor value for Dine Out.
The restaurant has a good reputation, which is why we wanted to go there. A few of the dishes we sampled were indeed excellent. Further our server was extremely attentive without being intrusive. But the noise level, with the insistent drum beat of the "music" as well as the crowded placement of tables (such that side by side or kiddy-corner seating was not possible) prevented a relaxing conversation. Further the main course selections we had were definitely not worth the cost ... edible but not good. Surprisingly, CIn Cin did not compare favourably with other, less famous, Italian restaurants in town that offer better ambience, good food and adequate service.
Went for Dine Out Vancouver 2018 with 3 friends.
Server was amazing and catered to all our needs and even made us laugh a little.
She never rushed us or made us feel that we weren’t valued at all unlike other restaurants durning dine out that couldn’t care less for you.
It did get a bit loud but that was probably because it was a full house. Music was a bit interesting at times ( classical to techno) but overall a lovely place, great service and wonderful food.
I had the soup, streak and chocolate cake and every bite was consistent and delicious. Just wish there was more cake.
A must try if you are looking for some good eats in Vancouver.
Delicious food and I mean seriously delicious. We went for the Dine Out Vancouver menu which was fantastic. Great value for the quality of food that we got. My new favourite restaurant in Vancouver. Have our wedding anniversary coming up in May and guess where we will celebrate it? The service was impecable from the ladies at the door to the waiter. Thank you everyone at Cin Cin for making our night so memorable. The food was divine. The wine recomendation was also spot on once again thank you.
We have never been to Cin Cin before, but we have heard some good things about it. However, the meal was disappointing. Couple of our friends and including myself ordered the beef striploin for medium rare from the dine out menu, and it was very chewy, and hard to cut though. The pasta was okay, I have had better. I don't think I will come back again for dine out or in general. The service was good, as it's on the pricy restaurant standard.
Four of us went to the restaurant during Vancouver Dine out. We all tried their dineout menu. I ordered Grilled prawn&mushroom salad, main course is the Arctic Char. All were perfectly grilled and fresh. The desert was also delicious. The service from the reception and the server were both wonderful.
