It was an important anniversary and we had a very nice evening. Our server was very kind and professional and just the right amount of attentiveness. The food as usual was mostly fantastic. If I could make one comment it is the lobster pasta could do without so much lemon. Beet salad was very good and the panna cotta was fantastic. Lovely room too
We started with the creamy stracciatella cheese with olive oil, Belgian endive, radicchio and blood orange, next up was the melt in your mouth beef carpaccio with smoked mayonnaise watercress, sourdough croutons – parmesan- so good, on to a well executed risotto of wild mushrooms, chestnuts, burgundy truffle and pecorino al tartufo, and rigatoni with tomato
parmesan, torn basil and olive oil, then fully enjoyed the mixed grilled seafood of crispy and super moist grilled branzino, Arctic char, scallop and prawn with rainbow chard atop panisse and drizzled with anchovy, rosemary and chili for some lovely heat, and finished off with a dessert of limoncello soaked semolina cake with citrus gel and lemon balm. Everything was lovely, the dishes were beautiful and service was outstanding as usual. Standout was the perfect pairing of 2011 Anselmi capitelli passito with the dessert. Will always come back for the amazing food and service. This is why Cin Cin is an award winning restaurant in a city of tough competition.
All I can say is please ignore any negative reviews about this restaurant because none of the things I had read were true! NOT EVEN CLOSE! My fiancée and i have had the luxury of dining at some of the world’s best restaurants in the past year and this one is joining the top of the list. The menu has variety but not a single dish lacked quality. Every dish was seasoned perfectly and they used only the freshest ingredients. Somebody mentioned that their food was bland in another review, that person obviously had a stuffed nose and couldn’t taste what they were eating!
What really made this place stand out was the service. Sylvia is hands down one of the best servers we had ever had! Anywhere! She was friendly and talkative even though the restaurant was getting busier. She didn’t miss any small details like fixing the slightly wobbly table, cleaning even the smallest crumbs off of the table between courses, and was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer any of our questions.
All in all, it’s a top notch restaurant for a fantastic dining experience, particularly a romantic night out, that will certainly not disappoint. If you don’t end up liking this restaurant, you do not know good food and drink. PLAIN AND SIMPLE!
Greeted by bored young hostess . Waitress not much better. Cocktails were poor. Food was good. Ambience was tired and dated. No offer of where we would like to sit despite mostly empty space. $470 all in for four. Went to Flying Pig the next night, much better service and ambience and less than half the price. Will not return.
It was our first time to BC and we flew in from Portland, OR, USA for 2 nights for my partners birthday for shopping and fine dining. I read so many great reviews about CinCin and because my partner loves Italian food, I knew immediately that I had to bring him here. From the young lady opening the door upon arrival, to the host greeting us with such warmth, we knew right away I made a great decision. I requested a table on their heated patio which overlooks the famed Robson street, and they gave us a table right on the edge of the patio. We were greeted immediately with water and the manager stopped by to wish Chris a happy birthday as well as drop off a signed card from the Sous Chef also wishing Chris a happy birthday. Our server Mike V. was such a delight and created and provided a fun, warm, and entertaining dining experience. Chris enjoyed delicious cocktails that were recommended by Mike, and I enjoyed a delicious Barbera D' Alba wine by the glass for both our appetizer and our main course. The food was nothing short of amazing as was the service. Mike really made it a special evening for us with light conversation and his attention to detail with service. On our way out, the host and the manager bother departed us, and the manager shook both our hands and wished us a great evening. We were already expecting a fabulous dining experience, so we were not shocked when it happened, but we were so grateful and appreciative of how amazing everything was. If you ever get a chance to make it to BC, or if you live in BC, do yourself a favor and dine at CinCin. It was and is a night to remember. Service and ambiance was wonderful, the wine list was great, but the food was definitely medium, and for the price, I was disappointed. My mushroom risotto had lots of flavour but was way overcooked, and appies were mediocre. For the price of the restaurant, I was expecting more in terms of food quality
Fantastic experience overall. Food was great, ambiance was great, and everything went well. But by far the best part of the experience is the service. From the multiple hostesses and coat checkers making you feel extremely welcome, to the amazing servers that are ever present but un-obstrusive, to each individual who carries themselves with confidence and continues to improve your experience. The service was so unbelievably good that we almost forgot to talk about the food on the drive home.
Best Italian restaurant we've been to, and probably the best service we've ever received. We'll be back soon.
Fantastic as always! We have been going to CIN CIN for over 25 years. The food is cooked on fire and literally on fire with taste. Richard and crew up front are awesome, chef Richardson has the food completely dialed in. Truffle dishes tonight were beautiful!
You have never disappointed. My wife and i and even with our young kids, have gone there on a number of occasions; we have loved every time. We have enjoyed the food, the very friendly staff and the excellent food. It continues to be our special downtown Vancouver restaurant!!
The service and food was good. The wine list is very extensive.
No elevator for those that are disabled or find stairs challenging.
Overall, I would recommend it; however, you gotta be ready to spend big bucks.
It is overpriced, but in saying that, Robson street does have very high rent.
CinCin was on the list of favourite Vancouver restaurants from several friends. After my recent experience I can see why.
Service was friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
Food was excellent and served in a timely fashion.
Atmosphere was cozy.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary at CinCin on a Friday night. We had made a reservation a week in advance. We had a great table on the enclosed patio with views of the fairylights in the trees on Robson St. I had marked on our online reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary. When we sat, the manager approached us and gave us a handwritten notecard from the executive chef congratulating us. This was such a lovely touch and a great way to kick off our meal. We started by sharing the parmesan souffle, which was cooked perfectly and so delicious. I had the corn risotto was my entree, which was fantastic. I especially loved the parmesan crackling. My boyfriend had the chorizo sausage pasta for his entree, which was nice and spicy. The handmade pasta was great. For dessert, we shared the caramel pannacotta. I loved the addition of the caramelized apples. With our bill, we received two petit fours for free with "Happy Anniversary" written on the plate in chocolate. It was such a lovely surprise. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive all night. We had a fantastic time at CinCin and it was the perfect restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. The food was amazing and we loved all the extra touches that made our night special. We will definitely be going back in the future.
The quality of some dishes like the Char fish and lamb are really good. The pasta dishes are average. Nice selection of wines and knowledgeable staff to help you choose the right one. The practice is they automatically charge 18% for groups more than 6 which I personally have issue with. Also they bring sparkling water and ask the first time if you want it, and top up it regularly so sometimes you do not get a chance to say, no and obviously they charge you at the end. If you ask for regular water the top up does not happen as regularly. I found that practice unethical.
