Such a lovely gem in downtown Prince George.
Delicious food, great atmosphere, friendly, helpful service... wonderful experience!
This was our first time at Cimo and I had heard rave reviews. The hostess that seated us was fantastic, our server was fine. We were told that the kitchen was down a member, and that if we had to be somewhere we should order quickly, which was fine.
The food was ok, but not the exceptional dining experience that I was expecting.
Overall I would give Cimo a 3.5 or 4 / 5 stars. I will likely try somewhere else on the list before going back to Cimo right away. Will try again some day though.
Here is a new head chef, the people next me had to wait over an hour for their food the restaurant only took 50% off for their bill. I ordered the pasta special, it was very oily had no flavor and was not very filling. Perhaps this was a one off, I will try the Cimo’s again, but if I have the same experience I will not eat there again.
Perfect. Excellent food! Excellent service!
Unfortunately the food was cold the vegetables wilted and there was a very long black hair in the prawn dish. They did replace it right away. Service was good. Good not do good.
We were placed in the centre of the room, and completely ignore by all servers. When we did get service it was rarely by the same person, so difficult to determine who to ask when our dinner took over an hour and a half.
The food was divine, everything was delicious! The Rosemary Fries were a hidden gem!
Awesome location, great food, great service and very friendly
My daughter recommended this as a nice restaurant to have a quiet dinner and I booked the reservation which was very easy and when I arrived they sat us immediately and the service was very good. The appetizer arrived quickly and was excellent and the meal showed up shortly thereafter and exceeded our expectations. The dining experience was well worth the cost.
Great food, great service, will be back again. Thanks
The food is absolutely delicious. We come to this restaurant often and we are never disappointed
Love the food and service at Cimo. Such FRESH ingredients! Their daily specials are knock-it-out-of-the-park delicious. #raviolitodiefor
Nice ambiance. Food was terrific. I recommend the mussels as an appy with the seafood ravioli as the main. Service was excellent.
My favourite dining place. Love it for special evenings and my menu favourites!
The option of local foods and ingredients without preservatives and colorants, made me take a risk that I have not taken in years: eating out. My questions were answered, my concerns were addressed and a safe suggestion was offered. I was amazed at the service from our waitress who was incredible and the care that was offered to make sure that my meal was memorable from all the staff. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends. They really care about their food and their clients.
Amazing food and it’s such a great place to go for an romantic anniversary dinner! Will be back.
Service was excellent. Food was average. My husbands came first and wasn't hot. Mine came about 5 minutes later. Not great timing and by then my husbands really wasn't warm. The tables are much to close, felt like we were intruding on the tables conversation when we were quiet...
The waitress that was serving us was amazing. The BEST service we have had in a long time
Great service - we had a great evening. Would definitely come back for another event.
Excellent food and service as always! Will look forward to the next visit.
In my top 3 favourite places to eat in Prince George. I’ve never been disappointed.
Food was so good. Service was excellent
We were very excited to return to Cimos for our favorites, angel hair pasta and spicy chorizo penne. The hosted seated us in a small sitting area with 2 small tables for 2. My bench seat was located in a specific area where one portion ended and another started so I was sitting on a crack the entire time. The edges of the crack were very sharp on the legs even through my leggings which was uncomfortable so I sat on my coat.
We ordered the calamari to start which was good and the sauces were delicious however, the calamari itself needed more flavour.
My angel hair pasta was quite dry with not a lot of flavour. I had ordered chicken as an addition with my dish. For an upcharge of $6.50 i anticipated a full breast (perhaps my fault for not asking). When the dish arrived it looked like there was a small can of flaked tuna mixed in with the angel hair pasta. Not a great value, would not recommend this addition.
My husband's spicy chorizo penne was delicious, piping hot, saucy and very flavorful.
We finished our meal off with creme brulè. Matcha was the flavour of the day. It was good however, the perceived value for $7.50 was a bit of a miss. The container was the size of a hockey puck which was enough for a taste each for my husband and I.
Overall the service was good. Our server was friendly and quick. The food was not as good as I remembered it and the perceived value could have been better.
Generally we have enjoyed going to Cimo's but didn't so much this time. Even though it wasn't busy, the noise level was uncomfortable. The food was ok, but a bit too salty. Two entrees, an appetizer, a beer and a tip was 80 bucks which is getting to the price point for an "OK" meal. Service was fine, and staff were welcoming.
We had difficulty getting what we ordered, half the pasta with all the sauce. Had no idea how difficult our simple request was for the chef or management. We were grateful to get our dishes, as desired. The initial rejection dulled the joy of our special luncheon. I thought our young host managed the awkwardness well. Your food is great. We loved the private intimate area we were able to nestle in. Cheers
Delicious food! Friendly staff! We had a corner booth where we could talk privately. Upon request. Cimo is one of the places I like to bring my out of town family and friends too. Consistent, delicious food! Keep it up!
The biggest disappointment was they did not have our reservation!! A bit embrassing. Had to sit at bar for twenty minutes while they figured things out. Open Table confirmed reservation and send to restaurant but because of poor internet service didn’t register.
Maybe they should not take internet reservations until internet is improved. Apparently if you check by kitchen it works vs at check in.
That was the biggest problem. Once finally settled- It was a great evening and meal. Service was good.
Always love Cimo’s. Was a very large party dining and they were incredibly loud. Hard to hear people at our own table let alone the wait staff. Food was spectacular.. as always.
Service was exceptional. Food was well prepared and tasty. Excellent wine selection.
Food was excellent, but the service wasn't good at all. Never came around for drinks, never got back to us about questions on the menu.
This was a date night for my wife and I, we're pretty busy and don't go out much. The service, food and overall feel was ok, but where we were seated was ridiculous. To be honest, my first thought when I saw where we were seated was " You gotta be friggin kidding me". We were seated at a table just big enough for two, which was fine, but it was directly next to another table for two, close enough that we could hear the other people chew. They have an area with partitions that looks like it's the perfect size for a private 4 person table, except they squish two separate tables into this partitioned area. My wife and I came into town, spent decent money and tried to have a nice night out only to go on a date with two strangers, and we ruined their date night just as much, I imagine. We weren't able to have a private conversation, share any real laughs or really enjoy ourselves at all because we were so uncomfortably close to these other people. It just blows me away that any restaurant would even consider seating two different couples so close to each other, I expect that sort of thing from mcdonalds. Not impressed.
The restaurant was too cold to sit in comfortably. One would have to wear a thick sweater
Or a jacket.
The food is always so delicious and this dining experience was just as wonderful as it always is ! The staff at Cimo's are always friendly and helpful
Just a perfect evening out with friends.
Great Cimo’s staff, service and meals!
Can't say enough about the staff. They really make a huge effort to accomodate. Then the food is great. 100% happy.
Excellent service, special attention paid to our 4 yr old granddaughter much appreciated. Warm artichoke salad and caprese salad delicious. (Bison ragu pasta nice but had little too much nutmeg ). Overall good experience.
We had a great birthday celebration with excellent food and drinks.
We went with young kids and elderly folks. It was a great experience for everyone. The food was delicious and we all really enjoyed the tapas share platter.
The waitress we had was not interested in us at all. She was more interested in the table full of guys (I guess for a tip). When we asked for the bill, she grabbed it, tossed it on our table while she was walking passed, did not say a word to us. Our food was awesome, my boyfriend is a second generation immigrant from Italy and was able to pick out more faults, like too much garlic. Besides that the food was good, and the atmosphere was wonderul. Just wish the waitress hadn't given a rude unwanted vibe.
