Cilantro Ratings and Reviews
Hi my family and I we made the reservation for 5 to celebrate my sister in law and Brother 67 anniversary and mine B day and we requested table upstairs !
After 10 days I received message on answering machine that our table was moved down stairs cause there is a party of 18 celebrating B day ?
We did have good food that night but our table was next to room where waiters used frequently so it was lots of traffic at our table
So we will not be returning to your restaurant again as I think this situation wasn’t handled properly and with class
The food was very good. I had a pasta dish that was piping hot, which is something that I am often disappointed with in other restaurants. If I had to be critical, the pricing of the pasta is a little high given the size of the serving and in comparison to the meat entrees. The service was excellent. The server was very friendly and did not make us feel rushed even though our reservation was quite late. He was very attentive and anticipated our every need. The dessert menu was a bit sparse but varied. Overall we had a very pleasant dining experience.
The food was extremely good and our server Dustin was very attentive and knowledgeable. we had 2 appetizers, drinks and 2 entrees. The overall cost for the night was very low compared to the level of service and the quality of the food, we will most certainly return!
Service and food were the good parts. Odd wine list...no middle ground. Expensive wines were over priced. Server attempted to help us navigate through list. Seafood pasta was good however I was longing for more seafood. Most enjoyed their main. Time to spend some money on the décor. Restaurant has been open for 29 years and have not updated décor.
Last Friday evening my daughter and I booked a patio reservation. We had a lovely evening, noshed on pizza, salad and a shrimp appetizer. unfortunately the wasps also wanted to share some of our meal , so we switched to a table near the window. Our waiter was sweet and charming and happily accommodated us when we requested another table.
Very pleased. Every dish we ordered was great. Service is composive yet friendly. I love the fenced patio, very intimate and wonderful. Only thing I can point out is the bathroom doors but it's a fairly miner point. I think this place is a good choice for everyone.
Incredible service all around. Not only was our server attentive and welcoming, but the rest of the staff on shift were such qualities as well. They went above and beyond to make our dinner enjoyable and memorable. The patio was beautiful and we were handed out comfortable blankets once it started too cool down. The food was remarkable and you could tell care was taken into consideration for each dish.
Hadn't been in some time. Have always loved the food, location, patio etc. Service from greeting to waitress was excellent as always. But was not impressed with meal and cost for it. Hopefully a one off. Will try it again but going in with a negative view in a city in recession and full of choices...
We were there for an afternoon lunch on a Monday. Having read that it was the nicest patio in Calgary, we weren't disappointed. It's a simple, well thought out and comfortable patio but we suspect it's even better at night with the lighting on the trees! The food was excellent and service was polite and just fast enough. We would definitely go back... especially at night!
We had a nice dinner out at Cilantro on a Monday night so it wasn't incredibly busy. The waiter was good and was quite attentive to us. The food came out quickly and the quality was more than what we expected. We ordered the mussels, which were plump and juicy; the pork chops, which was bigger than expected (one was perfect, the other was a bit over cooked); and we ordered the wild boar pizza. For dessert we ordered the lavender chocolate tart which I would highly recommend. It was delicious! I would definitely go back here.
Always great to return to Cilantro - the mussels are totally awesome although this time around there was only one black bean in the creamy sauce. Still delicious. The lemon Linguine was really good. The peanut butter pie a great ending. Pair this with a great bottle of red and the evening was superb! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone...
