Ciera - MontBleu Resort Ratings and Reviews
I set a special dinner for my anniversary with the plan to ask my girlfriend to marry me. I couldn't have chose a better spot for this. Everything was perfect, food, service, drinks EVERYTHING! Thank your ciera for making that night a memory I will not forget. And she said yes!
First time dining at this lovely restaurant, we were staying at Montbleu and once we arrived we were hungry but we knew places would be closed soon. We quickly made a reservation online and walked out from our room and into the restaurant. Lovely women in front was helpful and got us to your table. The staff was very helpful and kind. Our waiter Pil was amazing! Food was to die for. We will come back to eat there again soon.
Our server was a bit too casual. I appreciate friendly service but he failed to offer wine and was a bit too quick with boring jokes.
We were passed over on the sitting process, even though we had a reservation and were offered waiting at the bar. We had to remind the greeter of our presence.
All in all, a nice dinner but the staff should definitely up their game!
The restaurant is beautiful, perfectly lit, and free of smoke (which is a blessing inside a casino). What lacked, however, was service and food quality. The food was okay bordering on good but definitely not great. We had the Thanksgiving menu, so maybe their regular menu is actually good, but then again it's also not difficult to make Thanksgiving staples. And lastly, their service feels fake and dressed up. The motions were all correct, but in conversing with staff, it became clear that service was not an intention. Personally, I was very disappointed that I was not told until I ordered that half the prix fixe menu had already sold out. Other small grievances added together to make for a less than pleasant dining opportunity.
We had Thanksgiving dinner at Ciera and we couldn't have made a better choice. My wife had the traditional thanksgiving dinner and I had the Long Island Duck. One of the best duck dinner's I've had since Poland where they really know how to serve duck. Duck can be oily and/or dry if not done right and this dinner was neither. It was tasty and moist. My wife enjoyed her turkey with the cranberries, mashed potatoes, yams and butternut squash soup. All helpings were generous enough that we took a doggie bag home. The coffee was excellent, dark and rich with a choice of flavored creams . Only downside for me was I thought the drinks were a bit overpriced. The servers were professional and very cordial. We arrived about 1/2 hour early but they were able to seat us and gave us a private booth. We appreciated the booth very much but as were are in our mid 70's we didn't quite know what to do with all the privacy.
Atmosphere was somewhat stale. Nothing too inventive food wise, but your basic steak house fare. Everything tasted great though. Kinda wish they would have asked me if it was ok to butterfly my steak (I ordered it Medium-Well so I understood why they did it), but it was still really tender. Good place.
Unbelievably attentive staff and amazing food! We were seated, but then moved by the manager to a cozier, more private booth when he found out it was our anniversary. There were curtains we could have closed for more privacy. We were treated amazingly by numerous employees. Oysters were the best we'd ever had, prime rib and filet mignon were cooked perfectly, soup and potatoes were outstanding. They comped us a dessert and brought us a sweet anniversary card. The night ended with chocolate covered strawberries atop a tray with dry ice, creating a beautiful smokey dessert. Highly recommend!
Our table was not ready for 15 mins with a reservation. No apologies at all.
Food is sub standard at best.
I will never go back... oh yeah the abolone steak was definitely no worth the $95.00... bread came after appetizers which were a huge disappointment, when I advised the Mgr, he immediately said he’d take it off the bill. The thing was the money isn’t the issue.... sadly I believe he felt all was well.
This place is an insult to anyone expecting 3 or 4 star service.
Go next door to the Steak house at Harrahs and take some lessons from Chef, servers and busboys!
I won’t ever return.
From Bobby at the bar, to all of the wait staff.....this was a wonderful experience. The food was above expectations, the wine list was extensive, and the ambiance was very pleasing. We would definitely recommend it to a friend, and will return when we are in the area. Thank you for such a nice evening...........Mike and Debby
Ciera is a gem in an otherwise drab hotel casino. The wait service was attentive and professional and the ambiance was a refuge from the chaos outside. The menu consists of prix fix options and the a la carte. The prix fix is an amazing value considering the quality of the entrées.
We had a wonderful romantic dinner. The crab and prime rib was oustanding. Also loved the garlic roasted potatoes. We were really exited about the special brownie and chocolate dipped strawberry desert. We really enjoyed our special 10 year anniversary and will return on our next visit.
My wife and I went here for our 10th anniversary and the staff at Ciera pulled out all the stops. We received a large private booth for just the two of us. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. Reasonable prices on the wine list. To top it off, we received a nice card at the end our meal signed by all the staff who helped us that evening. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great steak & a special night out in Tahoe.
They went above and beyond. Once they found out we were celebrating 12 years anniversary, they rolled out the red carpet. They even prepared a 12-year anniversary card and all of them sign it and gave it to us. They made us feel extremely good. The food was amazing too and the wine and champagne selection is the envy of connoisseurs.
The food was good however the waiter who waited on us with very rude. He threw the bill on the table after he asked if we could separate it. He told us we had to do that which was fine but everyone could tell he was very mad about it. We live here and have been there many times.
Wedge Salad was more of a "sliver " of iceberg lettuce. If you are going to cut corners don't do it on something that for about .50 (retail) you could wow someone , the whole table broke out laughing when they set it down. And maybe they ran out of lettuce so trying to make a normal "wedge" last the whole night of orders? Enough dressing on the plate for a normal sized Wedge Salad.
Chopped Salad adequate.
Shrimp cocktail adequate.
10z filet dry and over cooked ordered medium rare butterflied without asking .
Sea Bass overdone
Scalloped potatoes very average and on the overdone side so pretty dry.
Truffle Mac average
Dessert was LAVA CAKE which was more like a warmed Hostess HoHo with powdered sugar. And again a round of laughter from our table of 5.
Cocktails on the large side and Cosmopolitan and Martini served in an iceshaker so icy which we liked.
Bread was above average and we tried each kind.
Our reservation was for 8:30 so maybe we got leftovers not sure how late they are open but it's Tahoe so assuming late.
W enjoyed a lovely, quiet dinner with excellent food and service. Our waiter was cordial, attentive, and efficient. The manager came by to make sure everything was to our liking.
The food was presented promptly and properly prepared. The by-the-glass wine list was somewhat limited, but acceptable.
We were very pleased with the entire dining experience.
