Ciera - MontBleu Resort Ratings and Reviews
Our table was not ready for 15 mins with a reservation. No apologies at all.
Food is sub standard at best.
I will never go back... oh yeah the abolone steak was definitely no worth the $95.00... bread came after appetizers which were a huge disappointment, when I advised the Mgr, he immediately said he’d take it off the bill. The thing was the money isn’t the issue.... sadly I believe he felt all was well.
This place is an insult to anyone expecting 3 or 4 star service.
Go next door to the Steak house at Harrahs and take some lessons from Chef, servers and busboys!
I won’t ever return.
From Bobby at the bar, to all of the wait staff.....this was a wonderful experience. The food was above expectations, the wine list was extensive, and the ambiance was very pleasing. We would definitely recommend it to a friend, and will return when we are in the area. Thank you for such a nice evening...........Mike and Debby
Ciera is a gem in an otherwise drab hotel casino. The wait service was attentive and professional and the ambiance was a refuge from the chaos outside. The menu consists of prix fix options and the a la carte. The prix fix is an amazing value considering the quality of the entrées.
We had a wonderful romantic dinner. The crab and prime rib was oustanding. Also loved the garlic roasted potatoes. We were really exited about the special brownie and chocolate dipped strawberry desert. We really enjoyed our special 10 year anniversary and will return on our next visit.
My wife and I went here for our 10th anniversary and the staff at Ciera pulled out all the stops. We received a large private booth for just the two of us. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. Reasonable prices on the wine list. To top it off, we received a nice card at the end our meal signed by all the staff who helped us that evening. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great steak & a special night out in Tahoe.
They went above and beyond. Once they found out we were celebrating 12 years anniversary, they rolled out the red carpet. They even prepared a 12-year anniversary card and all of them sign it and gave it to us. They made us feel extremely good. The food was amazing too and the wine and champagne selection is the envy of connoisseurs.
The food was good however the waiter who waited on us with very rude. He threw the bill on the table after he asked if we could separate it. He told us we had to do that which was fine but everyone could tell he was very mad about it. We live here and have been there many times.
Wedge Salad was more of a "sliver " of iceberg lettuce. If you are going to cut corners don't do it on something that for about .50 (retail) you could wow someone , the whole table broke out laughing when they set it down. And maybe they ran out of lettuce so trying to make a normal "wedge" last the whole night of orders? Enough dressing on the plate for a normal sized Wedge Salad.
Chopped Salad adequate.
Shrimp cocktail adequate.
10z filet dry and over cooked ordered medium rare butterflied without asking .
Sea Bass overdone
Scalloped potatoes very average and on the overdone side so pretty dry.
Truffle Mac average
Dessert was LAVA CAKE which was more like a warmed Hostess HoHo with powdered sugar. And again a round of laughter from our table of 5.
Cocktails on the large side and Cosmopolitan and Martini served in an iceshaker so icy which we liked.
Bread was above average and we tried each kind.
Our reservation was for 8:30 so maybe we got leftovers not sure how late they are open but it's Tahoe so assuming late.
W enjoyed a lovely, quiet dinner with excellent food and service. Our waiter was cordial, attentive, and efficient. The manager came by to make sure everything was to our liking.
The food was presented promptly and properly prepared. The by-the-glass wine list was somewhat limited, but acceptable.
We were very pleased with the entire dining experience.
Our experience was wonderful, as always. It's our 5th year dining...this time with friends from Texas.
John, our waiter, is always a joy. His impeccable attention to detail, as well making us all feel Special is outstanding. We always hope that he is serving when we arrive for dinner.
Please keep up the Prix Fixe offering. It's always a wonderful value.
For the amount that was charged for stake, preparation and flavor missed the mark. Sauce accompanying steak, best left off or provided no the side rather than a top. Truffle Mac and Cheese uses regular sized elbow macaroni, to which a Steak/Chop House of this claimed caliber should be using a larger, more unique noodle instead. Up-selling was a little over the top, yet still welcoming from the server that was attentive.
Probably the best restaurant for overall quality in Lake Tahoe. Easy location to get to, quiet, upscale and friendly. Our waiter, Fil, helps make any visit special with his receptive and friendly personality combined with a fun demeanor that makes everyone feel welcome. The service is timely and is always delicious with interesting choices. We go back every time we visit Lake Tahoe.
