Overall good experience. Staff is nice and knowledgeable
Stayed at Morongo for birthday / anniversary decided to dine at Cielo was a big disappointment. Heard mixed reviews now I know why. Play poker at morongo all the time sad they really have NO good dining. Whole experience left a lot to be desired.
First time at this restaurant and it was very nice. Food was good. So many dessert selections and the butter cake with berries was phenomenal! The one food item I didn’t care for was quickly replaced. Excellent service! The piano player that night made the ambiance very warm and welcoming.
Jose has helped with our dining experience many times now and is amazing every time. We had a new server named Larissa that made dining with a toddler effortless. Service was great and food was delicious. Great way to celebrate a birthday with staff making the visit enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back.
Careful asking for to-go boxes. They do not put everything that you have leftover in the boxes. We lost most our leftovers to either theft of they just simply threw it away. When you pay almost $600.00 for a dinner for 4 (we were celebrating) you will have LOTS of leftovers. We had filled up on mostly appetizers and didnt even eat hardly any of our 32oz steak or Lobster mac n cheese. When we got home and wanted ti snack the boxes were basicly empty. Shame on you Cielo!!! Never going back....
Our wonderful host Vanessa greeted us with a warm smile and made small talk on our way to the beautiful table we were sat at.
Douglas and his assistant were wonderful! Super knowledgeable about the menu. Gave us his recommendations and they were spot on! The female assistant made sure our table was always full of water and fresh bread.
Was very disappointed in the management team. They weren’t interacting very well with the floor staff. On my way to the restroom overheard the restaurant manager Robert critique one of the employees in a derogatory way, almost as if it was his child in front of other customer. Not only did I hear him providing feedback to this employee but as I walked by you would of thought the conversation would have ended realizing that I’m the guest and that shouldn’t be taking place in public. Except it didn’t, and even when I returned the conversation continued on the floor. I could only imagine what other customers heard this? What must they be thinking?
The poor gentleman was so distraught. I just felt like this type of coaching belongs behind closed doors.
I also expected the manager to come by to our table as any other fine dining establishment to introduce himself and check up on us. That never took place either.. this isn’t my first visit to Cielo and the one bad experience I observed with the management team placed an overall bad taste in my mouth. Honestly the employees are not the issue in the restaurant. The mangement team should know how to treat the staff.
Great service! The Manager came to our table twice to check on our food and if need anything else...we feel very important! Though we didn’t enjoy the view much because there was a storm that evening, we did enjoy the old classic music being played on the piano by this awesome gentleman. The entree we ordered was decent, the black cherry cheesecake we had for dessert was real bomb! We had a great time!
We have enjoyed Cielo over the past 8 years. Our last experience was very poor. We decided to share entrees adding a couple of sides to round out the meal. Our waiter forgot the sides making our meal very sparse. Eventually brought them late after we finished our main. This was very confusing since we seemed to have a waiter, assistant waiter, wine steward, and maitre d. Too many employees and not even the basic service. Our waiter was indifferent about the situation and gave the impression that we didn't order it correctly. This was the same response from the maitre d. Let's face it, Cielo is an expensive restaurant. We don't mind paying the price if we receive good service. Very substandard experience.. We are not sure if we will return. I hope you figure out your issues as we need good restaurants in the area.
My daughters birthday was very fun for us because we spent it at Cielo. The ambiance was amazing. It razzled-dazzled her. The food was inspirational, the service grip that guided us through the courses were brilliant. Thank you for your gift.
Service was good- annoying that they serve diet cokes out of a can - food was not great - had seafood pasta(50.00) was not great flavor was meh - buddy had steak and lobster and was happy with that- manager was present in restaurant entire night- celebrating birthday put candle in butter cake as nice treat but still charged for desert- not a huge deal but spending that kind of money on dinner would have through a bday desert would have been added treat - will go back and order steak next time - overall decent meal
Very good food, exceptional service. Room noise a bit much.
Best meal ever
We loved it! The food and service were exceptional, and the view was great. Only things not perfect were noise level and lack of sufficient seating for early arrivers who must stand waiting for their table.
Great food, Great service, Great view. Exceeded my expectations!!
Brought my friend her for a birthday dinner, great scenery at the 27th floor, but the service was lacking. The front desk person that seats you was a man, seems to be in training. I arrived for my 7:30pm reservation but my friend not yet so I asked to be seated while I order for her. The guy said, if she is not here, I'll move you to 7:45. I tried asking to be seated but he was like, sorry I already moved your reservation to 7:45. I was like, fine so be it...7:45, went up and this time I was seated while my friend was at the bathroom for we didnt want to be moved again. We were seated in a little corner near a post it seems like. My friend is claustrophobic but we decided not to ask to move based on attitude at the front. Drinks slow to come by. Appetizer was good, but before we could even finish, the service table guy said, your main course is here, do you want it now or later...we looked at each other in shock and said, now then. We were still eating our main course when the waiter came to ask if we needed to box anything...any person can see us that we were still eating, not even half way with my steak...again we looked at each other and said, in a few minutes please. Literally a few minutes later waiter came back saying, can I box now...I said, sure with fork and knife in hand! We were still enjoying our meal when everything was boxed for us. We felt rushed as if people were waiting to be seated when it was almost empty....the food was not bad, nice place for a date, nice view, just the attituted and rushed did sit well with us. We havent seen each other in years so were catching up on alot of things but we were eating. Price was high. I've been to steak houses and this one is overpriced. I think I got turned off on the service level and attitude. You wont know until you go there. Some may like the service, we didn't. Suffice to say we wont be going back. I rather go to Outback SteakHouse.
Worst restaurant experience we ever had. Came to celebrate my daughters birthday with friends who were going to the show. We had 6:30 reservations, plenty of time to enjoy a nice dinner before our friends needed to leave for their show. From the time we ordered to the time we got our food almost 1 hour and 15 minutes had passed, people who were seated right before us were long gone, people seated after us were done before us. Our friends had to scarf down their food and still missed the first 3 songs of the show. They also were not present when we were finally served dessert and wished our daughter happy birthday. My wife asked to speak with the Manager who never showed up. They are not interested in their customers who are spending good money. The waitress never apologized and her only excuse was that several people were going to the show. WE WERE GOING TO THE SHOW??? Obviously they don’t plan very well, which is why people make reservations,so you can gave a plan. The server brought us bread and when we didn’t eat it right away he came and picked it back up. Who does that? The food when we finally got it was just ok. Ordered a 14oz steak that was not more than 10. I am a grocery executive so I do know. It was VERY EMBARRASSING. I was embarrassed, the hotel should be embarrassed. Having lived in Las Vegas and my parents having run restaurants I can tell you this is a poor excuse for a nice resort dining establishment. I probably would have gotten better service and food in the food court and saved a couple hundred dollars in the process.BE WARNED, DO NOT GO TO CIELO. You will be wasting your money. I will never return to this restaurant.
The food was just OK. The Lobster tails were undercooked and were barely warm when served, The Chicken Saltimbocca was good. Service was extremely slow! We initially waited a long time for our drink orders and it did not improve. A couple in our group arrived late, a little before the table side Caesar Salad was being prepared. We asked if the order could be doubled to serve 4 people. The waitress said she would have to put in another order. She served the salad for two. When served it was divided 25% to 75%, no effort was made to give equal servings. It was almost 15 minutes before the waitress appeared to prepare the second salad order? This restaurant is priced like a 5 star restaurant but does not live up to expectations. Skip it.
Definitely a top 5 among restaurants I have visited. Loved the atmosphere, service was impeccable, food was top notch, all together a wonderful evening.
We enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming and interested in us. The food was great! It was for my husband's 71st birthday which they knew about. The birthday dessert was the plainest we have ever seen. Just a bit of ice cream and whipped cream mainly. Small amount but complimentary.
Martin was great! All around great service and food!!
From the time we got off the elevator on the 25th floor until we got back on to leave, it was, awesome. Happy hour made it great at the bar, the host, hostesses, waiter and his assistant were all spot on. Food was fantastic, and, I look forward to going back.
If your a man, make sure to use the bathroom, what a view.
The service was exception from all wait staff. They all made us feel very welcomed. They surely were specially trained to be so pleasant, gracious and non-intruding. And the food was so delicious. It was tastefully prepared and beautifully presented. We are returning again soon and will make this a frequent dining experience.
Absolutely fabulous meal! Our servers Douglas and Jose were attentive to every detail. Oysters, shrimp and crab were extremely fresh and prepared perfectly, sea bass was melt in your mouth and the steaks were excellent! Douglas knew the menu front to back and recommended most of our choices.. we were not disappointed!
Food was amazing, service was great, overall experience unforgettable.
Food was good, service good, but slow.
We had a 6:15 reservation & didn’t finish until 9!
It's very pricey but good food. The service wasn't as good as it use to be.
Decent not worth the price people are friendly ....service is just OK......food was good not great. Better option out there at better price......great view
Service was off the chain. Thank you Richard and crew!!
Food was good. Nothing that I’d rush back for except dessert. Have the butter cake. Amazing!!
Beat Prime Rib I've ever had!!
Food was very good, service was outstanding. Wonderful view, but only if you were standing. It’s a shame they couldn’t have designed it so you could see out the windows when seated. Prices ate high, but given the quality and ambiance not too out of line for a special occasion.
Very beautiful restaurand went for my second year anniversary wife love it thank you!!!
Not sure how to characterize Cielo, as we had high expectations and have other high end casino steakhouses to compare it to. The manager or matre d' seemed stuffy and uninterested when we arrived- better when he came to our table. Our server was excellent- making good recommendations and keeping on top of things. Her helper, a young make, kept water topped off and bread basket filled. Prices were a bit high, we thought. The salmon entree was good, but again perhaps 15 percent too high. A small filet was equally overpriced. Sides were enough for two, but menu said " sides for one" encouraging guests to order one for each member if the party-- unnecessary! Asparagus were nicely done. Table was not crumbed between courses, which is a nice touch
Wine was very pricey, even at happy hour price! Perhaps as a casino restaurant they assume everyone is using comps, but value is still important. We rate it a bit lower (except for the ambiance of eating on the 27 the floor,) than aqua caliente steakhouse or TS steakhouse at turning stone in Verona NY. Acoustics are better than Fabio's at del Lago in NY State.
Phenomenal service, especially from Jena the receptionist and Robert our server and Dale as well to the manager on duty Cesar. Truly deserve a recognition and if I may say, a raise on their salary. These people made a difference on our dinner night at Cielo.
We booked our reservation online via Open Table. Overall we rate Cielo The Stakehouse at Morongo Casino a 10+ . We ordered the Chairman's Special...The bone-in rib eye was cooked to perfection, the sides and dessert were outstanding. Our Cocktails were also dialed in to perfection. The wait staff and including server Jarred were attentive but allowed enough privacy to dine and enjoy the experience.
Great place, I was pleased with the food and the customer service met my expectations.
They went out of their way to accommodate our needs and made it extra special since we were celebrating a birthday.
We had reservations at 7 pm, arrived at 6:55 and did not get seated until 7:15. Table ended up being in the 2nd floor all the way in the back corner where we could not see nor enjoy the ambiance. Food took an hour to get to the table and the steaks were pretty burned even though I ordered medium. Waiter was not too attentive when I was empty on wine. Would not come again to spend so much money on poor service and food.
Forgot to serve appetizer it came after salad. Food has been changed not nearly as good as in the past sent my pork chop back very dry ordered medium. Overall so so.
Out in CA for our niece's wedding at a nearby country club. My wife and I were looking for a nice place to have dinner and a drink. Cielo's is an outstanding restaurant on the 27th Floor of the Morongo Hotel & Casino. It was too late for the view, but a nice, open dining areas with a bar and grand piano. The food was excellent and decent wine list. We enjoyed the Caesar salad made table side and shared the rib eye steak with foie gras topping. Paired the steak with a nice malbec wine. Terrific!
