Cielo Ratings and Reviews
Went for an anniversary, 2nd time in 6 or so years, in part as it about 30 minutes from home. Food is very good, steak was a bit tougher than expected, but very flavorful. Hoping for a view of the sunset & desert, since the restaurant is on the 27th floor, but they don't open until 5:00 pm, so that was for naught. Piano soloist was nice, but began to sound like elevator music.
will just say the food and service is not worth the price had a beer spilled on my sister and daughter ....it was an accident but getting comp by management for the problem and what we were told was going to be comp was an issue that took longer to correct than it took us to eat. But like I said the food is not worth the price ....have had much better for less
Great place! Our waiter Doug was wonderful. He was just the right amount of help - he is just perfect. He made great suggestions for wine with our meal, and was extremely attentive. Thanks Doug for making Kelly's birthday memorable.
I wished for a view table but other than that, it was perfect.
I have dined at Cielo before and had a wonderful experience. This time, however I was very disappointed. When we were seated, we were informed that there was no longer a "chef". The food was average. Crab legs were not fresh, and had a very strong ammonia smell. That was taken off our bill. I would not recommend your restaurant to anyone. Please hire a real chef. I miss the old Cielo.
My husband and I had a wonderful time, from our easy check in process, to being seated at our table by the manager to our wonderful server who was very knowledgeable to the menu and answered all of our questions. We ordered the shrimp cocktail and a wedge salad, which they split for us because it was so big. Our dinner was the rack of lamb for 2, that had more then enough food for both of us, that came with table service (meaning they cut the lamb in front of us to make sure it was how we liked, then plated it right there in front of us) even having us choose the kind of knife we wanted to cut the lamb with!! The scenery was very beautiful and romantic, very quiet and low lighting which was a wonderful thing!! Loved the beautiful pink chandeliers!!
My wife requested Cielo for her birthday dinner. Reading some previous reviews, I wasnt sure of what to expect, especially on service. But the service was great . Our waiter was informative and attentive. I never felt rushed or forgotten. The food was excellent. Overall a very enjoyable evening.
Server took a while to great our table. He wasn’t very friendly at first, he did not ask us what brought us in or if it was our first time. Unlike the host he was interested in knowing what brought us in and even recommended a appetizer. The manager brought us our drink and nonchalantly started questioning my age and also gave me a background lesson on the rules for restaurants serving minors. I mentioned to him I got carded and if he’d like to see my ID because I’m highly aware of the rules, I use to work in restaurants. He finally left me alone. The server became friendly towards the end. My experience was not overall great. I probably will not be returning.
What a place and view! Seated right away, had reservations, immediately greeted by the waiter Douglas. For being first time visitor, Douglas explained the menu thoroughly to us.
The food, filet and bone in rib eye were cooked to perfection and tasted great. Would love to go often, but on the expensive side, but definitely worth it.
If you want to go to a place with great steaks and atmosphere, Cielo is the place to go!
Absolutely fabulous. Great steaks. Super friendly staff, attentive servers, great old fashion cocktail. Manager Bob helped us select a bottle of wine - fairly priced for a restaurant as well. He informed us that they are able to sell bottles of wine retail To Go. He discounted the two bottles which was an amazing find for us.
We will return in the very near future. A very mixed audience of diners to watch while you enjoy your steak.
I expected this to be a dressy dining experience, as stated in the dress code on your website. However, most of the tables were occupied by people who looked as if they were dining at McDonalds or another fast-food place. I knew when making the reservation that it would be expensive, but found that the food didn't warrant the high price. If I go again it will be during lunch so that I can take advantage of the view, which was non-existent because of the light reflection on the windows. Also, it was very noisy and not helped by the piano which was in the center of the dining room and right next to our table.
Felt rushed by bartender to go to our table even though we came 45 minutes early to relax and have a drink. My husband ribeye was chewy and he really loves ribeye but didn't like his the night we had dinner at Cielo. He chose not to say anything because he didn't want to wait for new steak. My Lobster Mac & Cheese & root vegetables were great. Our server was very nice.
Overall, a wonderful dining experience. The wait staff was attentive without being pushy, the food was wonderful, and the live piano was a great addition to the evening. My date and I were having fun trying to place the songs he was playing, and it made for a very entertaining evening. The waitress even went as far as giving us the name of the Malbec I ordered, which was amazing! Just a wonderful dining experience!
Martin our waiter was unprofessional asked if my husband wanted to lick the plate, he was unattentive, made a huge fuss to split the bill (took 30 minutes) and made excuses for poor service as if the restaurant was really busy. I felt our table was his chore and he really acted like we didnt understand the level of dining we were experiencing. I don't understand why Cielo harbors this behavior from their staff or is unaware of it. I will not be returning to this place as it boast to be a fine dining restaurant while the staff behaves otherwise, terrible waiter; All the other staff was great.
