I would not recommend Cielo for your special occasion. I left a note in my reservation that I would like to be called to setup having a bottle, on ice, at the table ahead of time. When I did not hear from the restaurant, I called them to set it up. I spoke with a women about the menu, she read me my options, I selected a bottle and paid for it. I also requested having a soda on ice as a member of my group does not drink and I wanted them to feel included. I got to the restaurant early to put gifts on the table ahead of time and there was no bottle. The hostess who walked me to the table didn't say a thing. When I asked her about it she casually replied, "oh yeah, we don't carry what you requested"....that was it!! I was very taken aback and immediately stressed...this was meant to be a special night for my guests!! I asked if I could quickly order a different bottle before my guests arrived. I did. When my guests arrived the bottle was at the table, on ice, but the room temperature soda was just set on the table. Additionally, it was very obvious that my food had either been reheated or kept under a lamp b/c my plate was so hot I received a warning AND the pasta was so overcooked that it fell apart when I tried to spin it on my fork. The little lobster that came on the dish was crispy in places (I've ordered this before and received at least twice as much lobster before). Lastly, not as bad, but the 18 piece mussel appetizer came with 3-4 closed mussels....at a restaurant like this, I'd expect them to all be open. I specifically chose Cielo b/c, while I knew I would be paying for it, I expected the evening to be perfect....instead it was unnecessarily stressful and a big letdown.

Totally underwhelming experience. The wine list is pathetic. The list their house, private label wine as Cielo made by a Pinot winery in Oregon, yet the actual bottle is a screw top non vintage wine from Missouri.

The three pre-fix meal for $60 was supposed to come with a glass of prosecco sparking wine. I had to ask three times and it finally came with the main course.

The main course of short rib, was an extremely small portion, was cold, and served on a warm plate. It was hidden under three kelp leaves. It appears like they ran out of food and the server forgot to deliver the food from the kitchen to the table.

Lastly, as a visitor to St Louis either they are overcharging the sales tax on the dinner, or adding the hotel tax into the restaurant tax’s as well. The tax on the meal was 10..6%. Neither the waiter or the front desk in the Four Season’s knew what the sales tax rate was.

We gave up and you should too. This is the worst Four Seasons I’ve been to and I won’t go back.

I took my fiancé here for a dinner date and it was absolutely perfect! From the food to the service to the view, everything was excellent. Would highly recommend this to EVERYONE.

Our service was stupendous, our server was perfect. The appetizers and desserts were delicious, fresh catch of the day was ok. Beautiful setting, will go back for apps and drinks.

For the third or fourth year in a row, we had Easter Brunch at Cielo. For the first time, they served in the Meeting Rooms on the sixth floor instead of in the restaurant. The restaurant is lovely, the meeting rooms are run-of-the mill Meeting Rooms. It was enjoyable. The food was still good. And - because we expanded from a party of two to a party of 8 at the last minute - the only reason they were able to accommodate us is because they were in a larger space.

And we will book them, again, for next year.

Easter Brunch........room was freezing, like sitting in a morgue trying to eat a warm meal. Roast beef froze the minute it hit my plate. First they said brunch will be in the cielo restaurant and bar on the top floor, which would have been beautiful. Then they call a few days before Easter and inform me that oops sorry but we need to shove you on the sixth floor in a ballroom with no windows! By then it was too late for me to get reservations somewhere else. Food was mediocre at best, mostly flavorless stews and roasts . I grabbed a bagel, it was at least 2-3 days old, for $90.00 per person the least they could’ve done is serve FRESHLY baked goods! Staff was nice but unorganized and discombobulated. Next year we’re back to our favorite Easter brunch:The Ritz!

I went to Cielo (mostly for the view) while visiting St. Louis for my birthday weekend. We found a Groupon for brunch for 2 and decided to give it a try. We were wowed by the food, the service, the drinks, and the views! Unfortunately it was too cold to dine outside looking out at the Arch but there are floor to ceiling windows so you don't miss the views. Our server was extremely attentive, our water glasses and mimosa glasses never got more than halfway empty, and when she realized it was my birthday weekend she brought me a special dessert that was not available from the buffet table and the plate had "happy birthday" scrawled in chocolate. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and hope to come back soon!

Overall, the tour of Italy dinner is a solid choice with some room for improvement.
The butternut squash soup was full of aroma and flavors, but could use just a tiny bit of more salt.
The squid ink pasta was my least favorite dish; the only thing I could taste was the salt, and the tiny bit of tomatoes didn't cut through all the heaviness.
The short rib was cooked perfectly, but lacked a bit of creativity for me personally (only being so picky because it's four seasons).
The star of the whole meal was no doubt the dessert--tiramisu. Everything you want in a perfect, authentic tiramisu, and the presentation was cute and elegant. Pure perfection.
Service was great. All in all solid experience.

I was really expecting much more as I’ve always had wonderful food at other Four Seasons properties. The food was really average and nothing special. Nothing stood out as memorable. For the price , I didn’t feel it was a good value.

We dined here for Sunday brunch on 3/4/18. When we arrived, we were greeted by a not-so-friendly hostess. We initially DID NOT have a reservation. When we approach the hostess, we were told that we'd have to wait at least an hour and 15 minutes. On a hunch, I went out to OpenTable app and happened to find that there were reservations available in just 45 minutes. (To be fair, there were two young women at the hostess stand, the African American woman was very pleasant to us, while the young Caucasian woman was the one who was rude and argumentative. )
Now, for the restaurant review. This has always been a place we've loved for dinner and it did not disappoint for Brunch either. The carving station with Porchetta and Strip loin was great, as well as the fresh seafood options, including Jumbo shrimp, scallop and shrimp ceviche, and salmon. The cheese/nut/fruit tray was also nice, as well as the vegetable side dishes offered. Dessert looked absolutely beautiful, but honestly wasn't that great, especially for setting such high expectations.
The Make-your-own Bloody Mary bar is definitely not as nice as it used to be when it had different flavored vodkas and mixes to add, as well as additional "fixins". But, it's not bad when it's included in your base price for brunch. You can get this or Mimosas included, as well as coffee, juice, soda, etc.
The view from the top of the hotel is spectacular!
So,the price. I'm sorry, but there is no brunch in the world to me on a non-special occasion day that is worth $69. Even eating a small lobster tail and some strip loin, I was in the restaurant only about 40 minutes, and didn't eat nearly enough to pay that much. (I also only made it through 3/4 of 1 Bloody Mary.) So, if you aren't a super huge eater, and you aren't going to sit around for 1 1/2 hours eating then letting your food settle so you can eat again, I'd say skip this place because it's too expensive for that. There are equally good Brunch places for $30-40.

Our food was decent..i got a half portion of the pasta and it was only about 5 bites worth of food. I would be embarrassed serving it. Soup was delicious but luke warm. Server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful setting for restaurant. I don't normally leave less than 5 star reviews but our food was not close to being worth $100 bill.

This was our second visit to Cielo. The first was perfect. This one was nearly perfect as well. Had I read the reviews, I wouldn’t have gone with the Risotto. I did, however, and it was not great. Everything else about the experience met my expectations.

If you compare the rating to my review it would seem to be a disconnect, but when you spend $250 for two at dinner there is a certain level of expectation and Cielo front of the house fell way short.

It was a Valentine dinner with Teri while we enjoyed the spectacular views from the rooftop But were underwhelmed by the front house service :
1. No coat check
2. No tablecloths
3. Server could not explain wine pairings
4. Entrée arrived when we were halfway through our appetizers. Sent it back. ( more on this later)
5. Staff began clearing tabletops and tidying up when we , and several other tables, were still eating.

A spectacular room and rooftop with really good food deserves more attention to front of the house staff.

Me and my girlfriend were having our valentine’s dinner here. They’ve created a nice atmosphere. ( All the balloons floated to the ceiling, and they didn’t mind us pulling one down and tie it to the wine glass base). Service here is top notch, the 8th floor view is unbeatable (you can see Arch right through the window). Food here is little bit pricey considered the quantity. Overall the experience is great!

The restaurant is a great place to gather. Beautiful view, great service, good food and drink. It is pricey but probably what you would expect from this kind of restaurant. We had the four course Italian meal and it was good and plentiful. Groupon offer deals that are worth pursuing to cut down on the cost. I was there in the summer once and the outdoor dining was exceptional.

My only complaint about this restaurant was the food. Which is the most important aspect of a restaurant. Staff, wine, ambiance, décor will all fine. We had a table of 8, the restaurant wasn't full. It took over an hour to get the food and when it finally did arrive, the food wasn't warm. I didn't send the food back because I was hungry and I thought it would be better to write a review. I would expect more from a restaurant at the Four Seasons. I was in town for a Medical Conference. I won't be back.

scant food selection. website advertises lobster mac and cheese and lobster ravioli. neither were present during brunch. despite placing an opentable reservation there was no table available and I was forced to sit at the bar. my groupon was improperly processed as well. for a 'fancy' place was pretty unorganized.
