This was a great time Thanks for the food the people and view. My wife was so so pleased. Thank You again.
Service was very nice and accommodating, food was average for the price, wine knowledge of the server was good with regards to their wine list.
Outstanding food with excellent service in a scenic rooftop spot near the arch--will definitely return in the future!
Ambiance and view was nice. Food was mediocre for the price.
I was really expecting much more as I’ve always had wonderful food at other Four Seasons properties. The food was really average and nothing special. Nothing stood out as memorable. For the price , I didn’t feel it was a good value.
We dined here for Sunday brunch on 3/4/18. When we arrived, we were greeted by a not-so-friendly hostess. We initially DID NOT have a reservation. When we approach the hostess, we were told that we'd have to wait at least an hour and 15 minutes. On a hunch, I went out to OpenTable app and happened to find that there were reservations available in just 45 minutes. (To be fair, there were two young women at the hostess stand, the African American woman was very pleasant to us, while the young Caucasian woman was the one who was rude and argumentative. )
Now, for the restaurant review. This has always been a place we've loved for dinner and it did not disappoint for Brunch either. The carving station with Porchetta and Strip loin was great, as well as the fresh seafood options, including Jumbo shrimp, scallop and shrimp ceviche, and salmon. The cheese/nut/fruit tray was also nice, as well as the vegetable side dishes offered. Dessert looked absolutely beautiful, but honestly wasn't that great, especially for setting such high expectations.
The Make-your-own Bloody Mary bar is definitely not as nice as it used to be when it had different flavored vodkas and mixes to add, as well as additional "fixins". But, it's not bad when it's included in your base price for brunch. You can get this or Mimosas included, as well as coffee, juice, soda, etc.
The view from the top of the hotel is spectacular!
So,the price. I'm sorry, but there is no brunch in the world to me on a non-special occasion day that is worth $69. Even eating a small lobster tail and some strip loin, I was in the restaurant only about 40 minutes, and didn't eat nearly enough to pay that much. (I also only made it through 3/4 of 1 Bloody Mary.) So, if you aren't a super huge eater, and you aren't going to sit around for 1 1/2 hours eating then letting your food settle so you can eat again, I'd say skip this place because it's too expensive for that. There are equally good Brunch places for $30-40.
Fantastic Views of the city matched by the food and the service - portion size options was really nice - would return...
Loved this place! I would recommend this to anyone visiting St. Louis or wanting the perfect location for a day/evening out.
We had our Daughter’s Engagement Dinner here. Matt our waiter was Spectacular going above & beyond to make the evening a 10+. I appreciate how beautiful he made our table look & the Outstanding Service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you... 3/2/18
Limited lunch menu. Server was great, very attentive and great customer service.
Brunch is wonderful. Unlimited mimosas, too ❤️ love all the natural light and view. Food was delish- short rib ravioli made me swoon
Food and service were outstanding We were there on a Groupon but you would never had know it. The choices given us were good. We will happily go back without a coupon next time.
Our food was decent..i got a half portion of the pasta and it was only about 5 bites worth of food. I would be embarrassed serving it. Soup was delicious but luke warm. Server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful setting for restaurant. I don't normally leave less than 5 star reviews but our food was not close to being worth $100 bill.
This was our second visit to Cielo. The first was perfect. This one was nearly perfect as well. Had I read the reviews, I wouldn’t have gone with the Risotto. I did, however, and it was not great. Everything else about the experience met my expectations.
If you compare the rating to my review it would seem to be a disconnect, but when you spend $250 for two at dinner there is a certain level of expectation and Cielo front of the house fell way short.
It was a Valentine dinner with Teri while we enjoyed the spectacular views from the rooftop But were underwhelmed by the front house service :
1. No coat check
2. No tablecloths
3. Server could not explain wine pairings
4. Entrée arrived when we were halfway through our appetizers. Sent it back. ( more on this later)
5. Staff began clearing tabletops and tidying up when we , and several other tables, were still eating.
A spectacular room and rooftop with really good food deserves more attention to front of the house staff.
A little pricey for Valentine’s Day, but was enjoyable and the wife liked it. Great waiters and fast! Quiet and romantic. Excellent view
Me and my girlfriend were having our valentine’s dinner here. They’ve created a nice atmosphere. ( All the balloons floated to the ceiling, and they didn’t mind us pulling one down and tie it to the wine glass base). Service here is top notch, the 8th floor view is unbeatable (you can see Arch right through the window). Food here is little bit pricey considered the quantity. Overall the experience is great!
Excellent atmosphere, service and cuisine. What more could one ask for in a dining experience.
Service was great,Brunch items where awsome,Mamoasas kept flowing. was an outstanding idea for wedding Anniversary.
Very good early Valentine's Day dinner.
The restaurant is a great place to gather. Beautiful view, great service, good food and drink. It is pricey but probably what you would expect from this kind of restaurant. We had the four course Italian meal and it was good and plentiful. Groupon offer deals that are worth pursuing to cut down on the cost. I was there in the summer once and the outdoor dining was exceptional.
My only complaint about this restaurant was the food. Which is the most important aspect of a restaurant. Staff, wine, ambiance, décor will all fine. We had a table of 8, the restaurant wasn't full. It took over an hour to get the food and when it finally did arrive, the food wasn't warm. I didn't send the food back because I was hungry and I thought it would be better to write a review. I would expect more from a restaurant at the Four Seasons. I was in town for a Medical Conference. I won't be back.
scant food selection. website advertises lobster mac and cheese and lobster ravioli. neither were present during brunch. despite placing an opentable reservation there was no table available and I was forced to sit at the bar. my groupon was improperly processed as well. for a 'fancy' place was pretty unorganized.
Had an absolutely fabulous meal! Service was attentive without being intrusive. Three courses was just the right amount of food. Dessert was exceptional as well.
Team dinner. Fantastic.
The service at Brunch was wonderful. But I feel it was over priced for the food options available.
The brunch is always our favorite. So many choices and unlimited bloody marys and mimosas. The seafood choice is always spectacular. Usually the shrimp are very large, but this past Sunday they were very small. Still love the place and the brunch
Went out for a friend’s birthday and they brought out a birthday dessert for her! So thoughtful!
My wife was celebrating her 60 birthday and wanted to go to the Four Seasons for Sunday Brunch. We have been there before and had a wonderful time. The food and service was great. Wish they put the lobster claws back on the Brunch.
Great service. Great food. The best handmade T ravs in all of saint Louis in my opinion.
Great lunch with colleagues. Great service as always and good food. Always a pleasure
I think the restaurant may have had an “off” night. This was my second time dining here and I don’t remember it being this bad. For starters I had a Ceaser Salad, it was very salty, I’ve never had a salad that was seasoned. For the entree I had the Braised Beef Risotto, Risotto is a very tough dish to make and it has to be cooked just right or it’s crucnchy and can taste undercooked, and that’s how it was for me. Other than that the server was great and willing to accommodate us. I declined to let them redeem themselves, but it’s a very nice restaurant , they had live music which was great and I hope this only happened to me and my party.
The ambiance was great but for the price we paid, the five course meal wasn’t worth the money. The pumpkin soup was too sweet and the risotto was undercooked- the rice was hard and crunchy.
I had informed about my daughter’s allergies in advance, but the restaurant didn’t do anything with that information.
I have been there before and the experience has been much better.
Went for 5 course Christmas Eve dinner. Sent 2 courses back barely touched. Bland flavors, thick gluey texture to soup and risotto. Even ruined the beef tenderloin by coating with sickly sweet Madeira sauce. $100 per person for this disappointment. Will NOT return.
Christmas Eve dinner w/ a family of 11. Music was too loud and the kitchen was behind. Although we understood it was a 5 course meal, the timing between the courses took too long. Service was mediocre. We’ve done the Mother’s brunch here several times, but disappointed with the Christmas Eve meal.
Writing a private review to the restaurant. Food was different than what was stated online.
Put this one on your list to try. You won't be disappointed.
My family and I loved it! Will definitely return to do another brunch.
An excellent brunch with great ambiance. The Bloody Mary's and Mimosas were excellent. Service was outstanding
