We understood the restaurant is under renovation, but we took a chance to return during nice weather for a chance to dine on the scenic outdoor patio. The ambiance was perturbed some by the thumping beat of music from the adjacent pool area. The menu was several steps down from what we had seen a year or two ago. A very respectable wine list was a bright spot. The salad was fine, but the main course entree grilled salmon was over-cooked to my taste. We weren’t asked how we liked it prepared. Desserts were very nice. Higher hopes for our next visit.
Husband and I dined in for rooftop dinner, had an amazing experience. Customer service was excellent, scenery was beautiful. In particular, server Matt was phenomenal. Very courteous and attentive.

I felt bad for most of the staff. The restaurant is under construction and it seemed no one had equipped them to deal with all the disarray. It looked chaotic and it was hard to find anyone to help you. A couple of them were very nice and appreciative of our patience. I wouldn't recommend going back until construction is finished if ambiance is important. The brunch food was excellent.

My friends and I decided to cross the river this time for our couples night - we wanted something different, but easy to find and somewhat secure and safe. The employees, from those who greeted us entering the building to the wait staff in the restaurant, were highly professional and very pleasant. We enjoyed the atmosphere inside and the beautiful sights of the city visible through the glass as we dined.
It is a new resteraunt there now but still as great as Cielos
Hello. I had another great time at Sunday brunch. I met the management staff (Sarah and Alec) and my server (Danielle) was fantastic. The view is really nice. The food selection is fantastic. The wine list is robust.
We appreciated the front desk's accommodation of our request for breakfast, as well as our server who sot us an anniversary dessert. she was great!
This was my second visit. The first visit was Sunday brunch and I loved it. The food was great, the bottomless mimosas, the atmosphere. For dinner I was not impressed. The streak was ok, the truffle fries were nothing fancy. I guess I didn't see the need to go out and pay $150 for something I could have done at home. There was no pizzazz, the taste didn't make me want to come back and order something else because my palate was pleased. The view was incredible and due to this I'll give the dining experience a 3 out of 5.
Once of the nicest, most memorable anniversary evenings in years! The staff was attentive, the chef delighted us with the most amazing food. Sadly, this was important to us, even though we were in downtown St. Louis, we felt very safe. I hope we get to go there again next anniversary!
The gooey butter cake surprise was absolutely delicious...it made me not want to try the other desserts!!
Aside from the staff, who was phenomenal, my experience here was just "OK". FOR $50 a person for the Sunday brunch, I would have expected the restaurant to not be full of families and screaming children.
The food was pretty good, and definitely a lot to choose from. Our waitress was AMAZING and made sure our drinks were constantly refilled, and asked if there was anything we needed.
I took my girlfriend here for a date, and drove 4 hours because the reviews were outstanding. But like I said, over a $100 bill, and we had to sit in a dining area with screaming children and loud families.
WOW! This place went above and beyond all of my thoughts and expectations. I wish I could add more stars to my rating to show that.
I set up a dinner reservation for me to propose to my girlfriend. They called me to confirm and go over details several times to ensure everything was perfect. They accommodated every special request including a spectacular view, her favorite flowers, off menu non-alcoholic juice to celebrate, and our server to take pictures. Speaking of our server, Dallas was the absolute greatest server I have had in my life. This gentleman was nothing but polite and attentive to every single table out there. I can’t thank him him enough for the most perfect proposal experience.
Everything was spectacular! My fiancé and I love to try new things so I went for the seafood ravioli and she ordered the salmon. The ravioli was the most outstanding plate I have had in a while. The salmon was delicious as well. Our lemon parfait dessert was wonderful.
Absolutely a great view and a somewhat tropical ambiance.
To say the least, the food was the bomb. If you like seafood, get the seafood ravioli, ‘twas verrryyyy good!! Ambiance is perfect. Highly recommend this place.
Beautiful setting and ambience, excellent service and food!
I would have given it five stars overall but the entire bar and restaurant area including poolside was under renovations. They say it won't be done until August!

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. I had the salmon it was awesome! The special dessert they gave us for our anniversary was a nice surprise! Very nice to sit outside and watch the sun go down!
I have eaten here several times before and chose this restaurant to celebrate my retirement because of the beautiful view (which was obstructed by the construction) and the good food. The salmon that I have loved in the past was over cooked and dry, plus the portions were extremely small. I will not return because of the poor value though I am sure the view will be spectacular again. And the staff did a great job accommodating my son’s special request. Overall, very disappointing.
Everything about our Tour of Italy was exceptional, and our waitress was kind and attentive.

Disappointed Mother’s Day brunch. Expensive below average food and service.
We had a really disappointing visit for the Mother’s Day brunch. We booked a seat outside, but I think due to the construction on the 8th floor, the setting wasn’t as nice and no outdoor seating. Definitely not as advertised and expensive.
We waited almost 20 minutes for a waitress. I have dined here before and the service and attention to detail was unsurpassed; my experience yesterday fell far short of my earlier experiences. The food was good but the less than stellar ambiance (restaurant undergoing renovations) really soured me on returning.
Great service by Amber; our Breakfast was very good, too! Outside patio area for lunch or cocktails is beautiful.

The food was overcooked and the server was rude. Our bill was incorrect twice. Server blamed another server, calling her “sloppy”. We informed the server about the overcooked food and we spoke to the manager but we were not satisfied. I arranged the dining experience for our party and was greatly disappointed. I have always had a good experience at Cielo, but the rest of the party who had never experienced it before were “underwhelmed”. They won’t be back.
Always love going to Cielo's . The food never disappoints. The Staff has always been extreamly friendly and courteous. This time I have to say our waitress was not what we are used to.
She was a little on the unfriendly side. It was noticeable to all off us, and since we have eaten at Cielo's many times it just stood out. We just never came across that before, everyone is always so friendly and tries to accommodate the customer.
If you are looking for something special and great food Cielo's is the place.
Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. food was pretty good, only complaint is the toasted raviolis were a bit overcooked. other than that everything was amazing! beautiful view!!
I would not recommend Cielo for your special occasion. I left a note in my reservation that I would like to be called to setup having a bottle, on ice, at the table ahead of time. When I did not hear from the restaurant, I called them to set it up. I spoke with a women about the menu, she read me my options, I selected a bottle and paid for it. I also requested having a soda on ice as a member of my group does not drink and I wanted them to feel included. I got to the restaurant early to put gifts on the table ahead of time and there was no bottle. The hostess who walked me to the table didn't say a thing. When I asked her about it she casually replied, "oh yeah, we don't carry what you requested"....that was it!! I was very taken aback and immediately stressed...this was meant to be a special night for my guests!! I asked if I could quickly order a different bottle before my guests arrived. I did. When my guests arrived the bottle was at the table, on ice, but the room temperature soda was just set on the table. Additionally, it was very obvious that my food had either been reheated or kept under a lamp b/c my plate was so hot I received a warning AND the pasta was so overcooked that it fell apart when I tried to spin it on my fork. The little lobster that came on the dish was crispy in places (I've ordered this before and received at least twice as much lobster before). Lastly, not as bad, but the 18 piece mussel appetizer came with 3-4 closed mussels....at a restaurant like this, I'd expect them to all be open. I specifically chose Cielo b/c, while I knew I would be paying for it, I expected the evening to be perfect....instead it was unnecessarily stressful and a big letdown.
Totally underwhelming experience. The wine list is pathetic. The list their house, private label wine as Cielo made by a Pinot winery in Oregon, yet the actual bottle is a screw top non vintage wine from Missouri.
The three pre-fix meal for $60 was supposed to come with a glass of prosecco sparking wine. I had to ask three times and it finally came with the main course.
The main course of short rib, was an extremely small portion, was cold, and served on a warm plate. It was hidden under three kelp leaves. It appears like they ran out of food and the server forgot to deliver the food from the kitchen to the table.
Lastly, as a visitor to St Louis either they are overcharging the sales tax on the dinner, or adding the hotel tax into the restaurant tax’s as well. The tax on the meal was 10..6%. Neither the waiter or the front desk in the Four Season’s knew what the sales tax rate was.
We gave up and you should too. This is the worst Four Seasons I’ve been to and I won’t go back.
