Cielo Restaurant and Bar Ratings and Reviews
The service was very good. I was taken aback, however, that some menu items were not available (especially on a Friday night when there has been limited traffic during the day). The alternate choice for my main course was a reasonable substitution, and the meal was prepared and delivered in a timely manner. The wine selections, although good, were pricey.
It was a friend's birthday, and the staff did a good job providing a 'spur of the moment' happy birthday shout-out message with the desert!! That gesture was very much appreciated!!
The band was a bonus! The music selections were good, and they were able to accommodate requests.
The second I walked into the restaurant I was stunned by how beautiful it was. This was my first time there and I chose to go there for my birthday dinner with my friends. We loved every minute of our dinner. From the totally awesome menu that lit up to the gorgeous view outside on the rooftop. The food was defiantly a 10/10 including the price. Our waiter was the best I've had in awhile. Poor guy kept running back and forth. Everything I had asked him he answered with a smile. I will for sure be coming back to eat here. Thank you for the best first time experience. It's one to remember!! :)
Most notably, I was disappointed in the pappardelle noodles this time. I expect a handmade pappardelle to be delicate & this was clunky & thick—almost like a dumpling. The view is always fantastic & the service was good. The grapefruit martinis were delicious. I was just underwhelmed by my entree.
We had an outstanding waiter, Matt which really made the experience. The food was delicious and each dish, that was supposed to be hot, came out at the perfect temperature.
We chose to sit outside, which was a mistake as we had kids running around the pool area which detracted from the normally great ambiance.
I was so disappointed at their 62 dollar brunch. We are open to paying top dollar and have had amazing brunch experiences throughout the country. However, this was so disappointing. Powdered eggs! Very few options and certainly not what you would expect for that price! One carving station - roast beef and one omelet station. The bottomless bloody marys and mimosas are a great selling feature but not at the expense of the food.
It's really a good place for dating. The service is perfect and food is delicious. My girlfriend and I happened to leave our clothes in our car after valet parking. So we asked the cielo reception where we could go to the parking lot for picking up the clothes. And someone just helped us to pick them. It's really good service! And the Italian food is very good. The price is high but it's worthing having dinner here.
My husband and I both thought the food was mediocre. Italian food with French proportions. I had ONE bite of lobster in my lobster pasta. The only reason I would recommend it is the view and rooftop ambience is wonderful. The service was very good and they even brought me a shawl when it was a little cold. If the quality of the food was better, I would be more enthusiastic about returning. If you are in your 20s or 30s, you will probably enjoy the DJ on the adjacent rooftop area. For me, the bass was too much and distracted from the ambiance. I would return for a cocktail, but not the food.
For a brunch costing this much you should have more food options of high quality. Tiny salad shrimp mixed in macaroni and cheese was pretty sad. Oysters were not cleaned properly, no crab as pictured. It was a big diddappointment.
In St Louis for 4 nights. Dinner was so good , that went back for brunch on Sat. Beautiful views night and day. Most importantly, food was fresh, innovative and delicious. Service was good not the best but we were in no hurry to leave. It was a 95 degree day but was a great breeze from the river.
Everything was setup lovely for brunch, the staff attentive, friendly and smiling... The food displayed very nicely... Overall the food was ok... For the price one would expect more than okay... For Four Seasons one would expect exceptional... The grill... Food half cooked (I get it)... However the chef maning the grill should know how long it takes to fully cook chicken, and also ask the question...How would you like your steak? Just courtesy... The restaurant looks great, ambiance, lovely...Food needs some attention... Come on chef!
The food is really unremarkable for a high end place. The pasta was overlooked, is not made fresh, and was heavily salted. The antipasti was mostly a bunch of deep fried and quite bland snacks (risotto balls; meatballs; etc). The tiramisu tasted like it came from a local grocery store. Really disappointing!
My husband and I went to brunch and Cielo for our 10 year anniversary. The atmosphere is very nice, and the view is beautiful. The coffee was terrible but the food was good, though I would consider it very overpriced. You're paying more for the atmosphere.
During our visit, the weather was absolutely beautiful so we opted to sit out on the patio. We got a table not too far from the door where the wait staff comes in and out of the building. Unfortunately, we got to overhear a good bit of complaining / fighting that was going on between some of the waitresses and assistants. I guess this bit of drama was distracting for the staff, so we struggled to get attention for coffee refills, etc. I find this kind of behavior very off-putting and unprofessional, especially considering >$60 a head for brunch.
The staff went above and beyond to help celebrate my mom's 60th birthday, they prepared beautiful and delicious desserts that we were able to share amongst the group. The food was amazing, something for everyone and worth every penny! I would also highly recommend the rooftop yoga, it was relaxing with absolutely no pressure from the instructor - great for newbies or the most experienced fitness level. This was a unique, fun and memorable way for us to celebrate a special milestone!
Unfortunately our meals were not good at all--I got the catch of the day, and my husband got the short ribs. The desert was good and so were the cocktails. The wait staff was very nice and it was fun to sit out on the roof with the view of the arch--this place has a wonderful ambiance, however it was really loud for eating outdoors--all the voices were magnified. Unfortunately, both of us had upset stomachs the next morning (we only had one cocktail each so it definitely wasn't that). Our bill was $200 and overall we were pretty disappointed in the food. Most likely will not go back.
Went for the view from the outdoor bar. Great wait staff asked what occasion we were celebrating (53rd anniversary). Bar manager(?) mentioned the house Manhattan (next time). Hostess gave us a nice secluded table. Restaurant staff was outstanding. A few more choices on the menu would be appreciated. What we did have was very well prepared and served. Surprise dessert (House-made Gooey Butter Cake) was most appreciated, especially with personalized greeting in drizzled chocolate. A great evening and we'll be back!
Location on the roof of the Four Seasons was spectacular. Covered seating kept us out of direct sun, but be aware some tables are right near the pool/hot tub so there may be some folks sloshing their way through the dining area if you sit outside. Food was plentiful, fresh and really delicious. The staff was discrete, professional and very polite. It was a great brunch and we will be sure to come back.
We came in for brunch. Our server Aaron (Erin) was fantastic! Very attentive and answered all our questions. All the staff were helpful and friendly. We came in a few times and sat at the bar. On our first night (friday 09/01/17) bob (I think), big guy behind the bar gave us a fantastic list of places to visit and it was a great way to get a local feel. I live in Nashville and that quality of service and atmosphere with the amazing food would go very well here. Thank you!! We will be back soon! Sarah & EJ
We celebrated our anniversary 3 days ago at Cielo. We booked the Chefs Table meal. Chef Michael is an absolute culinary genius. His pallet and creativity made for a meal to remember. My husband and I literally fly and eat all across the world and this was by far one of the best experiences we've had. The staff was friendly, accommodating to my husband's allergies and the chef created our menu as we ate. It was fresh dishes with three freshest of ingredients and meats. We will be back!
This is the second time in 4 days that I are here. This meal was much better. The taste if Italy. The night manager Michael stopped by and I told him him of the subpar experience two nights before. I was not looking for any comps but to let him be informed. Better this time.
Went on Sunday but didn't know that a brunch buffet was the only thing available. We were not able to order off of a menu. I am not a fan of buffets but the the venue is incredible. Would not return for Sunday brunch buffet but would on another day for menu service.
