Amazing staff. Friendly. Authentic Italian venue.
Giacomo and his wonderful wife have created the perfect neighborhood place that is also worthy of special occasions. Whenever we are looking for a nice and relaxing dinner for the two of us, or when family or special friends visit, we regularlyly choose Ciccio and it has never failed to please.
Go there and order a negroni. Now.
Wonderful italian casual restaurant with an exceptional menu delicious and authentic northern Italian cuisine, very friendly wait staff and cool place
My cousins wife said it was the best meal she had eaten in NY and her husband is an excellent cook. They have been in NY for more than 15 years.
I was very pleased to have homemade gluten free pasta options although I mistakenly asked for asked for vegetarian sauce.
Octopus was a little tough. Chicken liver pate was tasty and the kale and prosciutto salad was quite nice.
Love the ambience and the wine was delicious. I will definitely be back!
My wife and I loved this place. It is a cozy basement type restaurant serving unique homemade Northern Italian dishes that are out of this world. The wide ribbon pasta is made on the premises daily. The sauces were excellent. Prices are fair and reasonable. The service was beyond compare. Our waiter was knowledgeable , patient, and anticipated our needs. He was the best, and we can tell he takes pride in his work. They have a full bar and a very nice wine selection. The decor was casual yet functional. We will be back.
Great authentic Northern Italian bistrot with really well prepared food you forget you are in NY , charming place , definitely worth the trip.
We went early before a performance at the Greene Space and got special attention because it wasn’t crowded. The food was delicious. My basil cocktail was very aromatic. We will return when we have more time to enjoy.
A pleasant surprise, great food, interesting menu and attentive service in a comfortable atmosphere.
Great drinks. Friendly staff. Overall great experience.
Had a late lunch here with a friend. The waiter was friendly and helpful with my friend’s gluten free selection. Food was nice. The service was prompt but not overbearing. Nice spot.
We went there to celebrate my birthday. The service was ok. The food, it depends what you order. The burrata and octopus was really good. The pasta, some are good, some are just ok...
Well, it worth a try.
Slow inattentive service on a slow night, indicated that the dinner was a special occasion and yet food/service was mediocre even for a regular dinner out. Wrong appetizer served. Pasta dishes average at best, nothing notable, pasta beyond al dente and into undercooked. Expensive cocktails that were underwhelming. Uncomfortably hot and agonizingly slow service left us anxious to leave for a breath of fresh air.
Wonderful food, cocktails, and service in a cozy space.
I have several vegetarian friends and the menu attracted me to bring them to this restaurant. I brought different friends, non-vegetarians too, they all love the food, service and ambiance. I will definitely return.
Amazing authentic Italian dishes. Great food and service.
Fantastic and authentic cuisine nestled in a cozy space.......reminiscent of a trattoria in an Italian village.
Consistently delicious.....courteous and professional staff. Ambience warm and inviting.
Can't wait to return!
This is a gem real italian food in a cozy place , the food is imaginative and very well presented , the service is efficient and the ratio price to quality is outstanding, highly recommend.
Great and I mean great value for money, especially in Manhattan. Really nice vibe, super relaxed neighbourhood vibe and just generally a cool place to share an appetizer, few drinks and a nice big bowl of pasta and get change for a hundred bucks for two.
I've been to Ciccio maybe four times, and it's generally a solid neighborhood Italian joint serving well-executed straightforward pastas and other dishes. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's good, but you always feel welcome! Tasty cocktails, too.
I love Ciccio! The food is authentic and fresh, and the service is top-notch. Every time I have dinner here, I feel like I'm on the inside of a chic, authentic Italian inner circle.
Food is excellent, service is warm and professional.
The pasta dish was amazing. The wine was great the service was great the soup was not so good but everything else was so fantastic that I will definitely be back
Great food. Authentic Italian. You feel like you are in Italy.
On the Michelin 2018 for good value!
House made pasta was outstanding in every variety; appetizers were quite extraordinary
Best fresh pasta I've ever had. The Insalate Carote was outstanding and the signature pasta (Strisce) was cooked perfectly and had lovely flavor. Other diners with me sang the praises of the black squid ink risotto and the pappardelle. We also agree that the negroni's are quite tasty. When we first saw the restaurant from the outside we were uncertain, but I have to say that it was one of the best meals I've ever had in Manhattan. Service was friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend!
An error in 1 order but waiter brought extra wine and when food came it was delicious. Ambience lovely. Can get noisy when full. Will definitely be back.
first time and was delighted! delicious food in a cozy environment. waitstaff helpful, friendly and professional.
truly felt as if i were in a small village in italy.
can't wait to return!
Dinner was nice but we had heard so much about this place that it was somewhat disappointing. We had a reservation, but when we got there the hostess was not welcoming at all, the affordable wines leave a great deal to be desired, and the food was good but less than spectacular. I had the pappa al pomodoro, which was a bit dull, and the strisce, which were good but arrived at my table lukewarm. My husband had the carrot salad, which was actually very good (probably the best dish at our table), and a mussel pasta, which was just standard. Our friend had the chicken live crostini and the veggie lasagna, and both were OK but not spectacular. Overall, it seemed more pretentious and expensive than what they actually sell.
The welcome was warm, the buzz was lively, the menu had some interesting selections, the waitstaff was pleasant, the tables were close together. Everything felt unusually authentic. We only wish there had been more selections among the main courses. But the signature pasta dish was unusual and tasty, if a bit pricey, and my friend loved the chicken.
Had a great lunch. Food is good service is excellent can't go wrong
Great friendly service, delicious food and warm inviting ambience. We loved it!
Everything was just ok. Service and ambiance was fun, food wasn’t as good.
A tucked away gem in SoHo, that is worth a detour. Artisanal pastas prepared on location with aperitif and committed to Italian craftsmanship appetizers. When our table was not ready on time, the manager served us complimentary Aperol. Definitely will return on many occasions.
Trendy but comfortable. Delicious food with excellent service
5 minutes late for reservation, and waited an hour... but they gave us each a glass of bubbly
Just like home? No, better. The dishes are not just delicious, they also look very special. Inventive food design in a old-bistro feeling place. Come down four steps into the clean and woody dining room. Seats 25 or 30 at most. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Small, lively place with great food! Been to Italy many times and this is the closest to a real Italian restaurant we found in NYC
Always a pleasure dining at Ciccio. Best cocktails and spritz menu and delicious food. Carrot salad is a personal favorite. Pastas always yummy.
Loved this restaurant!! Small with very cozy seating. Breads and pastas are homemade and the food is excellent. Great price points!! The wait staff was excellent. Would definitely go back there again and again.
