My favorite neighborhood spot. Great food and the best staff.
Seattle Restaurant Week Spring 2019. I’ve been wanting to go here ever since it opened many years ago. This cute little place packs in a lot of tables and people without feeling too crowded. And the ambiance is unassuming, intimate, and perfect for a date night or a meet up with friends. The menu triggers all my good memories of small Mediterranean small plates during my travels. We ordered a starter plate off the main menu: wood fire roasted dates stuffed with chorizo in a pimiento aioli, but then went for the SRW after that. For me: fattoush with gem lettuce, cucumber, red onion, bell pepper, and tahini yogurt dressing; rosemary prawn skewers with creamy polenta, black garlic aioli, charred asparagus, and romesco (one of my favorite SRW dishes); and for dessert artisanal brie, berry compote, and poppy seed lavosh. Hubby had the smoked cod taramasalata with charred scallion, lemon oil, Aleppo, and crisp pita; spaghetti Genovese with arugula-walnut pesto, spring onion, green bean and pecorino; and for dessert chocolate semifreddo, salted caramel, peanut butter, peanut cookie, and candied peanuts. We are so full and very pleased with the meal. Can’t to come back snd order their entire starter menu!
Alex was our server, and he made the experience great for us. He was very knowledgeable about the food - he was well-acquainted with every ingredient and answered all our questions. He described the dishes accurately and we liked our food. It was Seattle Restaurant Week, and we went with the special 3-course dinner. We also added a “Cicchetti”, I.e. small plate appetizer. This was a great value financially,
The food was presented well. My wife had the fattoush salad. I started with the cod tamasalata - these dish names are from memory & I know I’m not getting them correct. My wife loved the crispy Brussels sprouts. I loved the prawn skewers with polenta and asparagus. My wife enjoyed her spaghetti genovese. Delicious chocolate semifreddo & I had strawberry rhubarb mousse & enjoyed it.
Found a parking space close by in the street. Loved the ambience. Kind of a vintage feel.
I was very underwhelmed with the food. The best part was the space. Very cute. I enjoyed that we were seated upstairs next to windows. A lot of good natural lighting in the evening and enjoyable views. The hostess was super friendly. The server wasn't very friendly.
We sat at the chefs table and watched a kitchen team in concert; everything that came out was checked with care! Tough to see so much you wanted, but couldn't order! Our food was really phenomenal, from the muhummara and sprouts (we fought over the last one!) To the falafel and chicken. All we're expertly cooked, the chicken had crisp skin but was so succulent with a slight smoke... falafel was some of the best we've had! Service was so friendly, super attentive, but also relaxed. It all made for a super date night!
There is no easy parking. Be prepared to spend 10-15 minutes to find parking. Our waiter was very friendly and provided excellent food recommendations. The food was very good. The ambiance left a lot to be desired.
Great food, nice cocktails.
the staff was so awesome, food delicious (as always) and made it very special for my birthday.
I have been meeting a buddy at Cicchetti monthly for happy hour for a couple of years! Always a great value and great food. The wait staff is attentive and... of course, know us by now.
A little pricier than I expected, but that's on me/my lack of research ahead of time. Server, food, drinks, atmosphere, all was fantastic and will return.
Food and drinks heaven!
Elevated without being pretentious or overpriced.
We love Serafina, Cicchetti’s sister restaurant. But, we’ve only been to Cicchetti for a bitters brunch. After this Valentines dinner, we can’t believe we haven’t done dinner here before.
Every course was delicious and generously portioned. From our cocktails before dinner at the bar to the ribeye for two and the last drop of port after dessert, it was perfect. We’ll be back!
Great neighbourhood spot offering creative and delicious food and exquisite cocktails in a friendly but chic environment. A perennial favourite.
Delicious Valentine’s Day dinner! The main courses were especially delicious.
Over all Valentine menu was good. The dessert; cake was ok. Scallops came way too late. Server said he bought a round of drinks on restaurant but were still on bill. Which was not a big deal, but he should of checked.
All the other times we have eaten here have been almost perfect. :)
Ok - quality seems to have suffered in the last couple of years
It was my girlfriends birthday dinner. The waiter was fantastic and guided us through the menu to our desired destination.
The food was phenomenal (2nd visit and both times it has blown me away) and the waitstaff was perfect. My only complaint is that I made reservations for 2 for 7pm on a Thursday night and showed up on time but was still left waiting for 25 minutes before being seated. It was not a big deal because we were there to catch up but this is something you should keep in mind if you are in a hurry or would simply be annoyed with the wait.
A very cute restaurant, food was great and the staff was super friendly
We've been to Serafina (sister restaurant) several times, including on NY EVE. We decided to try Cicchetti this year, and I know NYE can be a crap shoot. Everything was just excellent - service, food, and the room. We will be back!
Quiet place to stop with friends on the way home from work. Small plates are delicious and just the right amount of food!
The service was great and the food tasted delicious. The portions were smaller than I expected so we had to order more. The ice cream sandwich desserts are a must!
Dining at Cicchetti last week was a real treat. Decorated with the holidays in mind, the restaurant's warm and inviting ambiance sets the stage for a lovely evening. We started with appetizers (don't miss the lamb dolmas). We chose to order family style and were thrilled we did so. The short ribs were delicious and comforting, the chicken, roasted to perfection with interesting spices. We also enjoyed the falafel dish. Dessert (we made room), consisted of a trio of ice cream cookie sandwiches.
Cicchetti is truly a neighborhood gem. We'll gladly venture out from our neighborhood to dine at Cicchetti anytime!
Start to finish- great food, great service, great atmosphere!
First time at this restaurant, very welcoming staff and it felt like a cozy home. Everything we had to eat was excellent and unique. Drink were well made as well. Going back very soon!
The small plates had a lot of options and was delicious. The Lamb dumplings, the whit bean puree and the chicken were my favorites
The score would have been perfect IF: The table of customers we were first seated by were loud. LOUD. They had a child they kept shushing, but she was the quiet one! Mom and dad must have been hard of hearing because they yelled over the conversations of my table and the others surrounding. After 20 minutes, that table decided to stay for dessert and we decided to ask if we could move. Not only were we moved quickly and without fuss, but we were also treated like treasured guests and so were the folks at the loud table; a true gift of hospitality displayed by the entire staff.
The food selections were inviting and AMAZING! Great cocktails, too! This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. Thank you to all who provided a special night for my wife and myself after a particularly tough week at work. After that bumpy start, which resonated our raw emotional edge and purpose for going out on the town, we left refreshed and relaxed.
Thank you... THANK you for taking care of us!
Wonderful dinner with Celine taking great care of us.
I was happy with everything. They even gave my mom a beautiful vase for her flowers.
Delicious food! Great service and good view upstairs!
Tapas were good but the bean dip could have been spicier. Falafel salad and steak were stellar. Loved the way the salad was presented and that it had no lettuce. Each bite had all the flavors. Falafel itself was best I’ve had in the states. And the wine list was diverse and unique. Would come again. Got a parking ticket though...😕 seattle is brutal with all their parking rules.
Many Seattle area Italian/Mediterranean restaurants have started adding heat to every dish, many times with chile pepper. I have spent time in Rome and Florence and not once did I get blown out with chile pepper type heat - but it has happened way too many times in Seattle. And so it happened again with our last visit to Cicchett.
Burger = amazing
We were in Seattle for a few days, and Cicchetti was in the neighborhood. The food was delicious, interesting, and fairly priced for the quality and quantity. The service was excellent. I recommend it highly.
Delicious food, super helpful friendly server, wonderful experience.
Possibly my favourite restaurant in Seattle, especially for a mixed group of carnivores and vegetarians. Wine list is surprisingly and consistently excellent. Great happy hour.
We tried several of the appetizers and all were delicious. For main courses we had the Kebbhe, which was outstanding! We also had the Morrocan fried chicken. Sublime! Dessert was good.
Celine was a great server - very knowledgeable, attentive and easy to talk with. Food was perfectly prepared with a lovely presentation. They even told my date "Happy Birthday" when we walked in! It's nice to know they pay attention to the reservation notes :)
Very enjoyable dinner. The atmosphere is unpretentious, the food surprises you with an array of well balanced spices, the service was friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
