We love Cibo Yorkville. Always so accomodating to us. We tend to come early so we can sit at the bar before dinner and we never have a problem with that. The bar staff is all so helpful and friendly. Great selections of wines and drinks. Love the seating at the bar~ordered a charcuterie with nice selection of meats/cheeses/fruits. Well priced. Had dinner at a table by the kitchen which is always fun to watch and see the hustle and bustle. Energetic atmosphere. Our server was great and I'm sorry I can't remember his name. Their bread is so delicious. Ordered two pasta dishes. Both were quite good. The portions are smaller which may bother some diners, but to us, that is so much better than being served these huge uneatable portions of food. Complimentary glass of wine from our favorite bartender/manager Jeremy~ always makes us feel special. The whole atmosphere is perfect. Can't wait for our next trip to Toronto to come to Cibo again!
Great Service and atmosphere. We sat near the kitchen so we were able to be in the hustle and bustle of all the action.
Me and my friends went to CIBO for a Christmas dinner and our time was amazing! We had wonderful food and great drinks and the service was attentive and quick! Would definitely go back and recommend! One of my friends was gluten free and they were able to accommodate for that and offered all of their pastas gluten free!
Disappointed that they had no romaine lettuce for the Caesar salad. Recall was done at east a week ago. My wife and bnb I both had soup - Straciatelle and Minestrone. Both were bland and the veggies in the minestrone were soggy. My seafood pasta did not have any calamari or scallops at all. My wife's pizza was also bland...as though they forgot the sauce. No one asked us how our meal was at the end of the night. Our server was pleasant and service was quick. The wine girl was not very helpful as she recommended wine that was not available. A sampling of wine would have been helpful. Dessert was good but tiramisu was very heavy.
They have a surcharge for the flatbread before dinner now! And my favorite short rib dinner was about 2/3 its usual size?!
Good food, good service just nice for a good evening out !
Our server was attentive, she checked on us multiple times and always brought our drinks and food out on time. The food was amazing, it came right on time and tasted really good. I would definitely come back again.
Was great for a dinner out with nice recommendations from the staff for both wine and meal.
Great ambience, server was wonderful. She was attentive but not intrusive. Food was great and relatively inexpensive.
Enjoyed a tasty meal with a friend. Service was pleasant and consistent. Will likely book again.
Our server Laila was amazing! Fantastic suggestions despite a very picky eater in our party, very nice, and super attentive. Food was delicious, and reasonably priced -especially for Yorkville!
Ordered the ravioli, I received 5 pieces...I wouldn’t consider this a meal.
I’ve enjoyed both the ambiance in the food I do think though that Brad service should not be an additional fee. I brought guest from out of town this past weekend and they were very surprised about this.
Fairly decent. Had to ask for the bread. Server came off as a little rude as well. Food was good but pricing was overpriced
The service was brutal. Our server offered us water and didn’t come back for 35 minutes later for our order. I asked her, “Why did you leave us for so long?” She replied, “I wanted to give you time to decide.” Anyway a pathetic answer if you ask me. At the end of the meal, it was a painful process to get our bill.
Our server Rachael was exceptional. She was attentive but not overbearing. She never once made us feel like she wanted to have us leave so she could flip the table to the next guests. Rachael was friendly and sincere ... not falsely trying to be 'our best friend'. And yes the food was delicious and brought in a very timely fashion.
Food was good but service was very slow and restaurant was extremely loud.
It was fantastic
I was really excited to eat here. When I got there, the hostess was on the phone. She didn't acknowledge that I was standing there or waiting, just carried on on her call. After she finished, she asked for my reservation name and took us to a table. It would have been nice if she at least acknowledged that I was standing there waiting, or told me that she'd be with me as soon as she can. I don't think the food is also worth the price. Won't be back.
very rushed. waitress brought our dinner while i was eating my appetizer still. could tell they wanted u in and out.
We attended Cibo Wine Bar - Yorkville, for a, Special, Birthday Celebration. We have never dined there before but will many times in the future. The Staff were very, friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. We had a reservation and arrived approximately an hour early. The attendant advised us that she could seat us immediately or we could go to the bar, have something to drink, and return to her when we were ready to be seated. The food was delicious, plentiful and reasonably priced.
Our server Jessie, was amazing and the food was outstanding!
Estaba de visita en Toronto y me encantó el lugar!! Las pizzas son espectaculares y el servicio rápido.
Great time out with friends ! Perfect place for great food and exceptional wines.
Love the Thursday 1/2 price wine .. amazing !
Met a friend for lunch at Cibo Yorkville. The food was very good quality and very well presented. Service was excellent. A bit pricey for lunch (we ordered from the regular menu) but there is a lunchtime prix fixe menu available. All around a good experience
The chocolate baci bomb was delicious and a chocolate lover's dream dessert.
I was extremely disappointed with Cibo. Reading the reviews I invited 2 guests from out of Province confident we would enjoy our food. Having all of us been to Italy and seeing the Italian seal on the website I assumed we were in for a treat. Boy was I wrong. Having worked in fine dinning establishments myself such as Auberge du Pommier and my friend being the manager of Park distillery in Banff we concluded the food worse than chains like Cara. Never have I ever been so disappointed and embarrassed. The sauce on the caneloni tasted like it was from a can. No way was that fresh. The "fresh" pasta might have been fresh at one point but the food was made at least 24 hrs before it was served. The food was reheated, tasteless (we all had to add salt), and poorly plated. I won't even get into the spag and meatballs. They were tiny and looked like the frozen meatballs from m&m's. We suffered through our mains and ordered dessert which were assured were authentic. I'm not sure who claims those cannoli were authentic but I guarantee any Italian would be insulted having that served to them. I've never written a review so this shows you how disappointed and embarrassed I was. The only good thing I can say was the ambiance was nice and so was the imported wine. I have no problem spending 250$ on good food. None of us finished our food, we all left hungry, and was I offered the food again someone would have to pay me to eat it.
Decent food selection for decent price. Service was good. Had brought own birthday cake and they informed us service fee 5$ per person if they serve it. Seating was little tight for 8 people. Overall descent experience.
The food was very good. But very disappointed with our seating. Also there was smells from the washroom as our table was so nearby. Ruined our evening. Will not return unless seated in different area.
Food was pretty great but was ruined by our waitress. She was incredibly rude which is not something you would expect to find at this kind of restaurant. Truly put a damper on the evening. She was complaining about splitting our bill which she said would take her a lot of time but instead of saying this kindly, there was a lot of attitude, it was quite shocking actually.
Usual good food and great service though if you're downstairs on a Friday evening it can be a little noisy
Appatizers were outstanding and the service was great. Entrees were very poor for this type of restaurant. Recommend you go for drinks and appatizers.
Horrid service this time
There were four of us all together and we all had pasta. Three of the pastas were tomato based and were very bland. I have the lobster ravioli which I did not finish and sent back. It was probably frozen and then cooked as the interior texture was leaky and watery. I entire dish seemed somewhat watery.
Took 1 hour to get our food...too long understaffed
The pizza is very good.
The glasses of wine are priced too high and
the service could be crisper.
The decor is modern and cozy.
I was celebrating my birthday. I expected my birthday to be acknowledged and special treatment. I did not receive a complimentary slice of cake. My friends and I felt rushed by our waitress as well. Overall, no where near my best dining experience.
Very loud, couldn’t hear my girlfriend sitting across from me. Food was very mediocre, not worth the price at all. I got the pollo mattone and the chicken was very dry. My girlfriend got pizza and the sauce was too sweet. Wine list is substantive, but overall the quality does not match the price point. Wish I had chosen somewhere else.
Everyone was shouting
