CIBO Yorkville never disappointed us .
I love the chicken pasta most !
Excellent experience from the minute we walked in....my request for a booth was made possible and I thank management for that.
Food was excellent, ambiance was phenomenal.
Look forward to our next excursion at Cibo....
It’s my third time in this restaurant and the last two experiences have not been the best! I had a reservation on valentines day which also took a $50 deposit in case of cancellation, when we showed up we had to wait to get one of their worst tables on the corner and at the same time someone without a reservation showed up and got a window table! The quality of the food was no way close to what they were charging for it, the appetizer that was supposed to be some kind of fries tasted like sand and water and the pasta which was quite expensive was raw! I’m not trying to be negative but I was expecting much more specially on such a special day.
This is our second time back, because we enjoyed ourselves so much the first time. Our server was very nice, she was attentive, talkative and always made sure we had water. The music was a bit loud so it was a bit difficult for us to talk, besides that everything was perfect.
Our food came out just like we asked for it, pizza first as an appetizer then our pasta. Everything came our hot and fresh, and we did not have to wait long at all. Pizza was really terrific, it came out hot and fresh, since they hand make their pizzas right in front of you. And the pasta was flavourful and filled us up just right.
We will definitely be coming back and trying more of the menu. This place is worth it and the food is so good.
I was 30 minutes late and it wasn’t an issue. Very polite staff would go back
Awesome atmosphere and food! It’s hard to find an establishment that offers both.
We had a nice time on Valentine's Day, however both our server and the sommelier failed to tell us about the half priced bottles promotion going on! Our server was really lovely but didn't mention drink specials at all, and the sommelier only mentioned that glasses were half price. I know that Cibo does do half priced bottles so at the end of the night when I asked what day the promotion is on our server said "oh, that's today!" Huge facepalm moment. Also we ordered grilled calamari as well as a garden salad, but it turned out the calamari already comes on a fairly large bed of the exact same salad, which I wish our server had mentioned considering she watched us hum and haw over whether to get the salad or not. We ended up spending almost $200 and I felt that we were led a little astray which is disappointing. Highly reccomend the lobster ravioli and the calamari; the penne a la vodka was just okay.
A consistent, easy place to eat with friends. You know that the quality of the food will be solid, the meal will be well priced, and it always has a fun vibe.
We had a group of 16. The restaurant was very accommodating, the staff was friendly and the food was great. We all had a good time.
Food was very tasty, ambience was great, overall top quality.
Person who delivered cutlery dropped the spoon into our dish but walked away without correcting or saying anything. Other than that, good experience!
Nice Place very good food parking is very convenient and not expensive selection of wines is rely good
Everything was perfect! We had to be out quickly and our waitress was super helpful and efficient.
Excellent dining experience and I would love to go back soon.
Amazing experience! Waiter was amazing
Great place for large groups. Loud atmosphere. Food is very good.
Compared to the other Cibo Wine Bar locations in Toronto, the Yorkville location disappoints. The menu is the same, but the food was nothing like the food at King West or Yonge locations. The polenta fries were overdone and my pasta was not salted. Maybe it was an off night... Despite having a reservation, there was a wait to be seated, which is fine, not a big deal. However, we ended up getting seated at a table that was not cleared. The previous guests' water glasses were still on the table when we were seated and they were not cleared until our server arrived. Service felt rushed. Overall, the dining experience was not what I expected based in previous experiences at Cibo Wine Bar. I'll not be returning to the Yorkville location.
Food had no flavour and it was soaking in oil..pizza dough seemed half cooked and they even charged $3 for the bread..
Our meals were mediocre. My salad lacked much taste. The fried calamari had 2 sauces. The white sauce lacked taste, but the red sauce was okay. My friends had similarly mediocre meals. The restaurant is large and well located in Yorkville. It is not too noisy.
Food is always excellent, but recently the restaurant seems to be getting stingy on portions. The pasta is MUCH smaller than usual (fettuccine Alfredo), and they now charge 3$ for the signature bread that they used to bring to the table free. It’s a little bit off putting/strange for a high end wine bar.
Given the day/time, I don't think it was necessary to seat our party of 2, along the very drafty and cold window seating area. In my opinion, you should leave these until the end, and then, warn the customer that it is very cold to sit there. Thanks!
We had a great time ! Love Cibo !
Since it was business. Did not want to make an issue. There was a hair in my food. So just didn’t finish and did not say anything.
Food was amazing. Entree prices were reasonable and as expected. The price of the caprese salad was a bit hefty for the size of the portion. We went for an early dinner after the theatre, just before 5pm. We weren't thrilled with where we were seated. The place was over half empty at the time and we were seated at a bench table right in between two other fairly loud parties with less than a foot on each side of our table. It was difficult to have a conversation. It seemed unnecessary to seat us there given that the restaurant was so empty at the time.
The Carbonara was bland and a very small portion (about 6 bites). For $22, I expected a lot more. Also, charging for the bread was tacky, when we were spending almost $200 on a dinner for two.
50th birthday which was mentioned upon reservation but no acknowledgment. Appetizer recommended and wasn’t exactly what was deceived and didn’t taste great.
We came to Cibo to celebrate a birthday and it was amazing from start to finish. The ambiance, restaurant, service and food most importantly was fantastic. We can’t wait to go back and enjoy trying other foods cause the menu is extensive!
Great place for a family meal, lovely food and good service.
This is an okay Italian restaurant in trendy Yorkville. My salad and fish were fresh and well-prepared, but lacked much taste. The noise level was high.
We went to Cibo for my birthday and the dinner was fabulous. Everything so flavourful. Service from Steph was out-freakin'-standing. Possibly the best service I've had in Toronto in years. All in all a great meal for a special occasion. I had made a reservation but because an event finished earlier than expected, the staff welcomed us without issue 90 minutes earlier than expected without batting an eye. Will return.
First time there and the ambiance was great for such a large space. Lots of nice options for seating that can be more quiet or more in the action by the bar. Lasagna was delicious (as recommended).
I came in for dinner on Friday January 11 around 1030pm. Service was below average which surprised me since this location was recommended to me by various friends who even said the Yorkville location should be preferred over the King St location. The server was not as knowledgeable on the food and drink menu as I believe he could've been. There were various mistakes throughout the night. Drinks took a very long time to come. Appetizers were not up to par. At times it was hard to find our waiter for assistance. Appetizer cheese plate did not come with a carb which was fine. When we ordered extra meats and crackers they took a very long time to come. Then we were asked if we would like our dinners to be processed which at the time we had been drinking and enjoying our appetizers for quite some time. Dinner was not processed until much after our appetizers. Ended up having to pack our meals because we were running late for our plans after dinner. Very surprised at the overall experience which left a bad taste in my mouth to be completely honest.
Nice ambiance, amazing and very tentative service. Nice friend outting.
Great food good service and best of all great company( my family)
Tasty food, excellent server, a bit too noisy with the thumping music.
I had the octopus and it was extremely overcooked. Also had a pizza which was good. But the octopus was the worst I’ve ever had.
Food was great and our server was also friendly and was alert all the time to help us. The people at reception were extremely unwelcoming, unfriendly.
Great service. Food was very good. Focaccia was warm, soft and deeeeelicious!!
New Year’s Eve
Nice vibrant place with lots of nice choises on the menu. The food was excellent. The service was quite good. The only downside was that the music was very loud so it was a bit hard to keep up a conversation at our table. Would recommend for especially younger people!
Accommodating staff, excellent waitress, fun atmosphere
