Half price wine on Thursday before 7:00! Group of 6 ladies. Sat downstairs at a square table. Too noisy or too big a table to talk to anyone except the people on either side. Otherwise great night. Good food - ordered a bunch of appetizers and mains to share and lots of wine.
Amazing dinner and atmosphere.
I just wish there was some sort of chocolate choice of dessert on the menu.
Yes we will definitely return.
We’ve been to cibo on king street.
All good 👍🏻
We had the 4 ingredient pizza which was amazing!! And they brought it out so quickly since we were in a hurry. We definitely will return!!
Service was a bit slow and organized - however staff is pleasant and food/drink quality was great.
HORRIBLLY slow service. Unfortunately, when the service is bad there isn’t much that can be said.
Will not be visiting again.
Great food. Amazing service. Bill will be pricey but I still enjoyed the evening there.
Half price wine happy hour!!
Overall very disappointed with the service. Our main courses arrived within minutes of the appetizer (we sent it back), then we had to wait at least 15-20 mins after the appetizer was done for the main course to return. Even more disappointing was how the manager handled the situation. Won't being going back !
Portions are weird. Pasta came too small, veal milanese came too big.
Overrated mushy pizza, poorly spiced eggplant dish.
Loved the food! The bread was so good. Also love the atmosphere.
Terrible service. Outrageous prices for wine by the glass. Food was good but not good enough to return based on the wine prices and mediocre service.
Very over priced for not that great food. Go to Nervosa down the street for much better Italian food.
I only had good experiences with Cibo until this time. For Sunday lunch time, the restaurant wasn’t that busy but only one server was in charge of the whole dining floor upstairs. The server was very friendly but it took forever to get a hold of her whenever to request for something. The polenta fries and the shrimp fettuccine were amazing, but the gorgonzola pizza was all burnt at the bottom and we could taste the bitterness. We kindly asked the server about the issue and we were told that it is normal that it was burnt. This response was not what I expected because I dine at Cibo often and had their pizza numerous times, NEVER tasted that bitterness. We ended up taking the same pizza they replaced for us as take-out because the whole process took forever and we already finished eating the other two dishes a while ago. This experience was just a huge turn-off.
OVER ALL EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD. FOOD WAS GOOD. IT IS NOT AS UPSCALE AS I THOUGHT CONSIDERING IT IS IN YORKVILLE. 1 COMPLAINT IS THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE GINERALE FOR A SATURDAY NIGHT - NOT SURE HOW THIS COULD HAPPEN TO A RESTAURANT.
Treated badly at entrance. Waited a long time for a server. Food good but service leaves a lot to be be desired!
Return customer. Awesome everything, am a big fan of CIBO
Great food and lively atmosphere, nice wine list. would definitely go again
We took our family to the Yorkville location to celebrate my daughters 25th birthday. I was the first to arrive and informed the server that we are celebrating a birthday. The server said the we do not give free pieces of cake but if you buy one for dessert we will put a candle in it. This was a very tacky answer. For some reason we had 3 different servers. Each one asked if we were ready to order and then when we did order a second and third one came and asked if they could take our order. Considering our bill was $180 for 3 people and a child, I personally think that a slice of cake would have been nice. We probably would have ordered more dessert and/or coffee as well. Instead we did not order any dessert or coffee.
Good food and great selection of wine. The service was not outstanding, probably just because it was a very busy night. Lobster Tuesdays recommended!
The pasta is very good, made fresh on site with a lot of options. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
Cibo is convenient to the Yonge/Bloor/Bay/Avenue Road/Yorkville area. Food and service was very good, no complaints about those two important items. But it is far too noisy & we wouldn't return for that reason alone.
We’ve been a couple of times and honestly the food is typically very good but this time it wasn’t. Under seasoned tuna and undercooked root vegetables.... just a bit disappointing.
Not sure if I’d give it a try again...
The food and wine at Cibo in Yorkville is so good! Our waitress was so nice and made our time there very enjoyable! We will be back!
I am a vegan and my boyfriend is a vegetarian and we were so surprised by the selection of options for both of us. As well our server Brendon/Brandon made it clear we could sub out and add other items if we wanted to.
Slightly noisy for a Tuesday night but great ambience.
Excellent food, service and atmsphere. A perfect place for a special night!
Terrible service...waiter was the worst. The gentleman that brought us the food as if I wanted some parmigiano on my pasta. I said yes. He never cam back with the cheeses...! Waite never came back to pour our wine. Just horrible service.
Kristian, our waiter was great. He recommended the perfect wine(s) to pair with our meals. Definitely will be revisiting soon.
My husband and made an on line reservation and I noted we were celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary.
We heard so much about Cibo and wanted to experience it for ourselves. The service was amazing. Our waitress was very attentive and even supplied me with a pair of readers so I can read the menu. We loved the food however, 3 small issues. We ordered all fish items. The grilled octopus was delicious but a little pricey for the amount of octopus. Would have enjoyed more of it. We also ordered the mussels and clams. There were about a total of 5 pieces that were not edible since they were closed. Again, not very much for the price. Lastlywe ordered the pizza with fish and gge seafood risotto. Same issue, a few were closed. Might I suggest for the pizza to remove the fish from the shell and place on an opened shell for presentation and so that the fish is edible. As for the risotto we had to send it back due to tge rice not cooked long enough. The waitress made sure it was taken care of and was returned cooked perfectly. Loved the food, great service but a little disappointed my note on my reservation wasn't acknowledged. No worries, it was still a wonderful celebration for us.
Excellent food, great service. Loses points for being a loud place, but it's a popular one and that's the price. My third time here and every experience has been excellent.
Had high hopes for Cibo but were mostly disappointed. Our apps and bread showed up before our wine and we had to remind the waiter who had forgotten to bring it to us. Tomatoes were unripened in the caprese salad and the pesto chicken pasta had at least three times too much basil than needed. The entire dish tasted grassy because of it. My husbands mushroom chicken pasta was great. We asked to see a dessert menu and the waiter went to get us one. He came back 10 minutes later with the check. No menu and no offer of coffee. We paid and left; my husband satisfied, me not so much.
We were extremely disappointed: this was to be a birthday dinner and our request for a quiet booth on the ground floor was ignored, despite the very early hour of our reservation. This was specifically to avoid the noise that we know is a real problem in the upper level of the restaurant. The evening got louder and louder; we left when it got to the point the we were having to shout across the table. No notice was taken of the fact that we had specifically indicated this was a birthday celebration for someone (and, by the way, someone who needed cheering up). The food was of the usual fine standard, but our evening was ruined by the lack of care shown our party.
I order a veal chop that was thin, dry and over breaded with NO taste. Where were the seasonings? Lots of fingerling potatoes stuffed under chop to make it look large. Most of it was returned, however good customer service would have been for the server to ask, "was there a problem?" I chose not to say anything as it would have been disruptive to the table. A major disappointment.
Great from start to finish!! Joesph was very good
There were lots of flies and the flies got to our food and drinks
Our waiter was awesome! He made great food recommendations and helped us celebrate our anniversary! He was so cute too!
The food was good and enjoy the restaurant.
I paid the bill and then checked the bill afterwards as it seemed high.
I was charged $28 for a 9oz glass of wine which was 5 oz as was the other glass we ordered.
When I brought this to the manager’s attention, she said the server said it was 9oz and then reluctantly agreed to refund $12 in cash (should have also given me the HST and tip ) but I didn't argue.
Not impressed with such a Large operation like Liberty Group.
The salad I ordered with addition of Tuna arrived with a strange smell- then tasted the tuna and it was clearly ‘off’. The server offered me a new salad- but no other word of apology. Over priced and not in keeping with the high standard of restaurants in the area- we will definitely NOT go again!!
A good, varied menu. Excellent service. We have always had a good time.
MJ was our server she was fantastic. I had exactly the evening I had hoped and looked forward to. Thanks Cibo! I'll be back soon!
I wish our server would have been more attentive throughout the night.
