Great experience at brunch! Service was a little slow, but the meal was fantastic
Amazing service, amazing food! Every dish was great. The waitress had great recommendations.
Have been to Cibo many time - food is always good and the service is generally quite good. Love the location (walking distance from home) and the people watching. Wine options are decent and okay value. Definitely good for a date or family get together.
First visit - Saturday lunch. Was quiet and the food was good. We will go back. Great neighbourhood place for a bite. Service was good.
Meh at best. The place looks the part, but the food is subpar. Cibo bills itself authentic Italian—I disagree.
Great alternative to the regular “chain” restaurants. Love the creative and tasty items (albacore tuna salad) from the menu at reasonable prices.
The dessert (tiramisu) was very nicely served, fresh and yummy.
I had a great evening, except that we had to wait to be seated for at least 30 minutes. Upon being seated, we saw 3 other open tables (for 2) nearby. It was disappointing.
We’ve been to CIBO about a half dozen times in 2 years and have noticed that the food has gotten better recently. The Grilled Calamari is fabulous as well as the Puzzi Pizza. Could be the best pizza in the city. Short Ribs also amazing. Only criticism is food comes too fast and don’t like to feel rushed.
Although we had reservations we waited around 10-15 minuets to be seated and once we were seated the service was incredibly slow. Also, we waited around 55 minuets for the food to arrive at the table. Aside from the waiting and poor service, the food and ambiance (interior design) is good.
Great location. Great decor. Great Ambience. But below average service. For the prices they charge it was absolutely not worth it at all. There needs to be better training for the servers.
Normally find the food quite good at Cibo, have eaten at various Cibo's including Miami location. This last time however found the food to be bland and lacking seasoning (salt).
The polenta fries normally a great opening dish had no taste, only if you dipped them in the sauce provided were they edible. The Whole grilled calamari was actually quite tasty, my wifes risotto lacked the taste of a good risotto, it was very bland. My Capricosa pizza was average, I ate most of it because I was hungry. Hope someone reads this because Cibo has been a place I always consider when I go out to dine. I will try it again but this last meal left a bad taste in my mouth.
What a great evening. The service and meal were first class. Thank you so much.
It was good . The staff are warm and hospitable makes for a very pleasant evening
Atmosphere is very engaging, however the food was very pedestrian and poorly prepared and presented.
Great food, great ambiance, great table and great service. I’ve been to Cibo multiple times on business but this is the first time I took the family. Everything was perfect. Well done Cibo.
Too much money for small portions and nothing special.. service was great.
We were at Cibo on a Sunday night. The restaurant was not busy, but there were obvious problems in the kitchen. The food took an inordinately long time to be served. When it was, all the dishes were luke warm. A few of us sent them back, only to be returned luke warm again. Even though there were several issues with the food a manager never came by the table to speak with us.
We regularly visit the Yorkville location and have never had an issue. We will stick with that location in the future.
I made a noon reservation on Sunday not realizing there was only brunch ($35). We stayed though we didn’t really want to dine in a buffet. There were many options; however, food wasn’t replenished often enough and there weren’t enough warm food options.
We were a group of 4 adults and 3 children, 2 of which were toddlers in high chairs. Because of this, we were seated upstairs, far from the brunch buffet. There were plenty of seats downstairs closer to the buffet however, we kept being told they were reserved- we also had a reservation made a week in advance. It was very difficult to be able to get food and go back and forth with the children. There was no one else seated on the second floor where we were, it was like we were seated here as second class because our “well behaved, frequent restaurant going” children may disrupt anyone else. Would not recommend this location as we felt very discriminated against.
The overall experience is always great here. We love the wine and the rosemary infused bread however on this occasion the server could have been a little more attentive and the pizza we ordered wasn’t that great. It was a great night regardless.
The lobster ravioli was not very good.
Special dessert also terrible
Awesome food and overall great experience would highly recommend.
Martinis were small and over-priced. Service staff was busy and inattentive. Food was very good.
The food was very good. The only thing is that if you are near the entrance on a cold night, it can be cold. So ask for a table away from the entrance.
It was great service and ambiance and tasted good with generous portions!
Table to small for 5 food was ok since they didn’t have veal the waitress idea for a good replacement was very fatty brisket picked by her probably because of the high price . Totally inappropriate for a 97 year old .
The service was superb. Unpressured and helpful
Everything else was also extremely good but the waiter made the night
Great ambiance and vibe. Looked promising at first but service was very slow to the point that the restaurant felt the need to comp our desserts without request from us. Calzone was a big hit with our group but the pasta left something to be desired. Pizzas looked very good and I would certainly try that if going back again.
The service was fantastic. The waitress was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The appetizers were very very good as was the bread. And of course, the red wine was great ! I would highly recommend this restaurant and I look forward to returning soon.
Atmosphere gorgeous. Pizza delicious. Cesar salad for $15 nothing more than the stump of a romaine lettuce, some burnt bacon and some parmesan cheese sprinkled on it. No flavour couldn’t taste dressing definitelynot that delicious creamy anchovy and garlic type that one expects from a restaurant such as this! The pasta with meatballs was bland, the pasta was too al dente ( hard) and the little meatballs were just ok, not really flavourful and definitely not juicy and mouth watering. Anyway, the pizza was amazing as was our waitress.
Not much to say other then good food good service and good atmosphere, especially for Valentine’s Day
Don't buy the cheapest bottle on the menu. They only put it there to punish you.
Very fast service and didn’t ever have to ask for a refill of water
Great time. No complaints!
Comfortable atmophere, easy going staff - like beiing over at friends!
The food is excellent and the waiter was great.
I was disappointed in the Hosting which appeared uninterested and did not support the wait staff - no wine list was given to me upon seating for a Friday night dinner.
The kitchen support staff who delivered the appetizer was remiss in not asking if we'd like any pepper with the deliver of the appetizer - again, appear to not be supporting the wait staff well.
One of the managers appeared very disheveled and unprofessional with more interest in talking with the host desk than supporting the wait staff and checking in on the patrons.
Thank goodness the food is excellent otherwise, I would not return.
Great decor and overall look. We sat down and ordered a bottle of wine, and we could tell it was busy. After we received our main courses, our server never came back to check if the food was okay or cooked properly. We were also not offered another bottle of wine or drinks, etc. At one point, after we had been done our meals for about 15 minutes, I actually got up and walked over to the front to find a wine list. A host advised me that he would bring one to the table. He never did. Eventually we were able to flag down our server to settle up and leave, but the experience was ridiculous.
Service was good. Food was ok. My friend and I both ordered lobster ravioli and agreed - too much salt in the dish. Not sure I will eat at Cibo again.
Attentive wait staff, good food and great atmosphere/location. Ideal for a business lunch.
