Me and my boyfriend went to celebrate birthday. Our server is very polite and professional. Food is delicious. The overall dining experience was a delight.
Very glad to have this restaurant in our neighbourhood.

Service was friendly but the food, while served hot, was bland. Restaurant was way too noisy so that I could barely hear what my friends were saying. I won’t be going back.

We were there for brunch, with kids and it was very suitable for both adults and kids. Kids loved the pizza oven, waffles and dessert section, and there was a good variety for the adults too. The place was lovely and the service was great! Will definitely be going back for brunch

I don't like being harsh about food experiences but Cibo has been disappointing every single time I have had dinner or lunch there. The food is bland, the service is very average for a restaurant with Cibo's status and the only upside is the ambiance and decorations. I have been here quite a few times since I live close by but after my recent experience with my partner and hearing his disappointment as well, I will not be back.

I have been to all three Cibo locations in Toronto and have to say that the Yonge Street location is my least favourite. The service was sub-par and we felt neglected by our waitress. The cosmos we ordered were not made fresh, but were a premix that you buy already made. The food was ok, but portions were smaller than I remembered and were not served hot. I had indigestion at the end of the night because they obviously do not use fresh or made from scratch recipes. Then, there is no barrier on the door so when it is opened, the cold air comes right in to the main floor of the restaurant and our table was right in the direct line of the draft and we were all cold (women and men included). Although the décor is nice with the 2 story glass enclosed wine cellar, I don't think I will be returning to this location. I find that after a few years upscale restaurants sometimes loose their luster and their level of service, but not their pricey menu. I was disapointed, as were the other members of my party.

We were a small group of 4 friends getting together after a long absence. Our server clicked with us right away, adding to the warmth of the evening. We had a variety of food choices, all really good except perhaps the squid appetizer which was a bit salty- but the server took care of that. She was amazing. We had a lovely evening, the venue was perfect for that kind of get together and the food was just right. We will probably go back next time we get together- only it will be sooner rather than later.

Hi there,
The restaurant was not busy at the time we arrived on Saturday March 30th. We sat in the lounge area (high tables).
First off, it took over 35 minutes for our appetizer to come. The zucchini fritters tasted good but very skimpy on amount. So $$ value just not there. My bf ordered soup - he said it didn't taste good. And the pizza I ordered had good flavor, however, it wasn't hot, so not sure how long it was sitting before it made it to our table. Food took well over 45 minutes. Waitress didn't follow up or ask how anything was and frankly didn't seem like she cared. Just in general, I didn't find her to be very friendly.
It was just very expensive for the quality, value and service. Over $90 for 2 drinks, app, soup and pizza. Too bad, because I used to come frequently. I don't think I'll come back for the food after this visit.
I usually don't bother writing a review, because I don't care to complain, however, since I received this email, I thought I would share my thoughts.
Thank you.
Deanna

My pasta was very good, but the portion was minuscule. My girlfriend’s lobster pasta (the special) was just okay.

Pasta orders are becoming more and more minimalistic and Lilliputian. Almost as if these restaurants want to give you a “feeling” of what the food would be like. Won’t come back any time soon.

Our server basically took our order then left for 40 mins to deal with a large group table. Didn’t express to us he would be busier or assign another server to check on us. Had to track a bus boy down to order another drink. Management should properly assign servers to tables and plan for big groups so the little tables aren’t neglected so badly. I wouldn’t go back to this location specifically but overall Cibo is a decent restaurant for gathering with friends or a date.

Food was yummy, but portions were TINY and way too expensive. If I’m paying $25 for a ravioli dish, at least give me more than 7 pieces of tiny ravioli squares. Service was also a bit slow. Maybe because we were sitting upstairs, but that shouldn’t be an excuse.
