The food was decent but the service was absolutely terrible. The waiter literally ignored us the whole night from when we sat down. Had to flag him down to ask for water, take order and see the dessert menu. I don’t know if he didn’t care because he had a large party which obviously had a much bigger bill but it made me and my guest feel quite uncomfortable. I wouldn’t come back here. Maybe the king st location is a better option

I made a reservation through open table. I got there before my friend. She arrived a few minutes later and they seated her at another table in a different part of the restaurant. It took us 20 minutes to figure this out. The restaurant did not own up to their mistake. They said there were two reservations. I made one, my friend did not make one so I can’t understand what they were talking about. No apologies from the hostess. Our waitress was great. She apologized for the mix up. The food was good and the restaurant is very appealing. I have been there a number of times. It just would have been nice if they didn’t blame us for their mistake.

We arrived for the Sunday Bubbles and Brunch. The decor was great, the wait staff was prompt and courteous, however they could not make up for the balance of the experience. The line up was long and lengthy at the omelette station. There was one cook making omelettes. Waiting 15 minutes for a so-so omelette is unacceptable. Food stations were spread out in different corners and it was necessary to maneuver around tight tables for access. A waffle station without whip cream? And how about a "naked" canolli station? No chocolate chips or various condiments to compliment the cannoli. Based on our experience, which was shared with our guests, we would be hard pressed to return there any time soon if it all.

We had a very bad experience. They put us on the second floor and it was too cold. They said it’s cold cause the kitchen is down. We had very bad time and couldn’t wait to leave cause of the cold. My parents got a cold the next day too

The service was quite awful. We had to wait quite a bit to be served and had to actually walk up to the server to get the bill. I have been here before and it was a really good experience not sure what was wrong with them this time around. The whole evening was ruined

This was my third time at Cibo. Each time, I am hoping the food will be better just because it is a nice restaurant that is uptown and convenient to home. However, each time, I am disappointed. Price is high relative to the quality. It was a birthday for someone in the group. They were so cheap, there was no small dessert provided...they brought out one candle and melted it on the cappuccino cup! How tacky!! Secondly, $14 sangria was made with cheap red wine. Lobster ravioli was not good, and tasted like frozen seafood from 2 years ago! Texture was tough like steak! Sadly, 3 strikes, not going back ever.

It used to be better, but since they stated selling groupons I find that the food quality has gone down and they are just counting numbers.
They’re squeezing people in like sardines and honestly the food is just boring.
I’m starting to prefer the Yorkville location 100%.
It’s just sad.

Everything was great...our reservation was at 4 and we were a bit early. It was cold outside so we asked if we could come in a bit early and just get some drinks. We were refused. That is very disappointing.

We all ordered pasta dishes . My three friends thoroughly enjoyed their food. I ordered the pappardelle in lamb ragu. Honestly I found the dish very dry and not as tasty as I have had in other restaurants

Service was excellent . Our waiter was extremely attentive .

Have been to Cibo many time - food is always good and the service is generally quite good. Love the location (walking distance from home) and the people watching. Wine options are decent and okay value. Definitely good for a date or family get together.

Meh at best. The place looks the part, but the food is subpar. Cibo bills itself authentic Italian—I disagree.

Great alternative to the regular “chain” restaurants. Love the creative and tasty items (albacore tuna salad) from the menu at reasonable prices.
The dessert (tiramisu) was very nicely served, fresh and yummy.

We’ve been to CIBO about a half dozen times in 2 years and have noticed that the food has gotten better recently. The Grilled Calamari is fabulous as well as the Puzzi Pizza. Could be the best pizza in the city. Short Ribs also amazing. Only criticism is food comes too fast and don’t like to feel rushed.

Although we had reservations we waited around 10-15 minuets to be seated and once we were seated the service was incredibly slow. Also, we waited around 55 minuets for the food to arrive at the table. Aside from the waiting and poor service, the food and ambiance (interior design) is good.

Great location. Great decor. Great Ambience. But below average service. For the prices they charge it was absolutely not worth it at all. There needs to be better training for the servers.

Normally find the food quite good at Cibo, have eaten at various Cibo's including Miami location. This last time however found the food to be bland and lacking seasoning (salt).
The polenta fries normally a great opening dish had no taste, only if you dipped them in the sauce provided were they edible. The Whole grilled calamari was actually quite tasty, my wifes risotto lacked the taste of a good risotto, it was very bland. My Capricosa pizza was average, I ate most of it because I was hungry. Hope someone reads this because Cibo has been a place I always consider when I go out to dine. I will try it again but this last meal left a bad taste in my mouth.

We were at Cibo on a Sunday night. The restaurant was not busy, but there were obvious problems in the kitchen. The food took an inordinately long time to be served. When it was, all the dishes were luke warm. A few of us sent them back, only to be returned luke warm again. Even though there were several issues with the food a manager never came by the table to speak with us.

We regularly visit the Yorkville location and have never had an issue. We will stick with that location in the future.

I made a noon reservation on Sunday not realizing there was only brunch ($35). We stayed though we didn’t really want to dine in a buffet. There were many options; however, food wasn’t replenished often enough and there weren’t enough warm food options.

We were a group of 4 adults and 3 children, 2 of which were toddlers in high chairs. Because of this, we were seated upstairs, far from the brunch buffet. There were plenty of seats downstairs closer to the buffet however, we kept being told they were reserved- we also had a reservation made a week in advance. It was very difficult to be able to get food and go back and forth with the children. There was no one else seated on the second floor where we were, it was like we were seated here as second class because our “well behaved, frequent restaurant going” children may disrupt anyone else. Would not recommend this location as we felt very discriminated against.

The overall experience is always great here. We love the wine and the rosemary infused bread however on this occasion the server could have been a little more attentive and the pizza we ordered wasn’t that great. It was a great night regardless.
