Not sure why it took nearly 30 minutes for a cocktail.
Also they kept trying to clear our plate and we weren’t even done with our appetizer.
There’s is just something special about CIBO. Every single time we have dined at any of the locations it has been most memorable. From the service to the food to the wine, absolutely perfect. Can’t wait till next time.
Our server was exceptional and he added to our enjoyment of the evening.
Great setting but overall there is better Italian food elsewhere.
Appetizers were amazing ! Service was fantastic !
Everyone was very happy with their meals. Lobster ravioli was to die for.
Decent food, but the service is terrible. Forgotten orders, can't even place orders unless you flag the wait staff down, makes you feel like you've been forgotten. Staff wore masks only some of the time and often under the nose (including the manager)
Great reunion with friends
Menu and drinks items not available
Layton our server is amazing… she deserves 5 stars. Coming back very soon
good spacious location, liked it a bit better than the Yonge location. Food was good and the pasta was cooked to perfection. We had a large amount of drinks and our server tried her best to take care of us even though it seemed very busy.
The grilled calamari is better than the fried (my opinion)
Braised short rib ravioli was very rich, I’d suggest sharing it.
The spicy tomato sauce with penne was to DIE for.
And the gnocchi was cooked perfectly, sauce could’ve used more flavour.
Overall a good experience with friends
Terrible food! The pasta was over cooked. How do you overcook pasta at an Italian restaurant. Also it was absolutely tasteless. Not even seasoned with salt.
Service was horrible. We waited 15 mins for someone to even come to our table so I had to go back to the hostess stand and THEN had to chase down someone who was running food to take our drink order.
The server didn’t know the menu well and when I asked what seasonal vegetables were in the risotto she didn’t know.
The server blamed being “too busy” to come to us originally but didn’t take our drink order or deliver our food and drinks to us. She only took our food order and brought us the bill so there is absolutely no excuse for poor service like that.
I’ve been to cibo before but it was not up to par and I was really disappointed with my food as were my guests. 2/4 guests at the table had never been to cibo before and this unfortunately was their first and likely only experience.
Hard to celebrate when only cheap champagne available..
Too many flies
Great food, ...excellent service and nice scenery on the outside patio....King West is now a very hoping place
Very good experience. I would go back next time I am in Toronto.
I had the best experience with Leighton (Layton?) our server. She was funny, lovely, and was just so great at the queues of when to come over and when to leave us. She made great recommendations and made the experience amazing.
Took 15 minutes to be greeted or spoken to, wine took over a half hour to get to the table . Appetizer came out before we even got our wine , someone dropped one plate of the tables food on the floor so we all finished our meal before our friend got her re make. We do understand and appreciate the food was taken off the bill, however the service was not great / overall not a great experience. The pastas were hot but the arancini rice balls were ice cold by the time they reached the table and could tell they had been sitting for a while
What can I say! This was the worst dining experience that I have ever had the misfortune to experience. The food had little to NO flavor, the pasta was inedible (I had spaghetti carbonara which had pieces of bacon that was just pure uncooked fat, my son had orecchiette with sausage which he said tasted like fish paste). The Caesar salad lacked flavor and could not eat. The service was so bad; our server had a difficult time opening the bottle of wine and spilt some of it as she poured. She moved to a different section and didn’t even come over to let us know we would have another server. The servers were all constantly running around the restaurant which did not give the diner a sense of calm and enjoyment. After our appetizers, the entrees took forever to come out. Was a horrible experience and if you are a foodie, stay away!!!
Really slow service, hardly checked up on us, took his recommendations because I thought they’d be safe (for example calamari as an appetizer at an Italian resto) and it was awful. Waited an hour just to place our main order. Food was mediocre at best, way over priced for what you’re getting. Wouldn’t recommend.
The food was beyond horrible. Service was a mess! There’s better an cheaper Itailian restaurants.
Waited for our main course for 40 minutes. The restaurant was not that full at that time of night ( when the food arrived it was about 10:30 pm) . Mediocre food. But good wine. That s about it
Good food!! Short rib dish and the lamb ragu parpadelle did not disappoint!
Always our favourite restaurant for date night - perfect experience!
The pizza is fantastic and the location is great for a bite to eat before heading to a blue jays game (or any other event at the Rogers Centre). We enjoyed a great meal at Cibo prior to going to the Rogers Centre and the close proximity made the restaurant a great option. Great food, great wine, and good enough service.
Great thoughtful service
Good food and sever was very good. The restaurant is modern and upbeat.
Overall pretty good. Parpadelle lamb ragú pasta was a bit bland and overpriced for what it is. Service was great.
A lot of the pasta sauces are hit or miss which is unfortunate. Some waiters are less attentive than others. The wait times for food can range from surprisingly quick (since the pasta is made fresh) to confusing slow especially for easy to prepare dishes like cheesecake.
While the food and ambience were great, the service was very poor unfortunately. We felt forgotten and had to go looking for staff a number of times.
Food was amazing and server was pleasant. Definitely recommend!
Great flexible menu, relax, nibble, chat with variety of starters or traditional courses, very pleasant experience. Cheerful, lively setting and staff.
The service and food is great! We visited the King West location and the summer patio is very fun to sit at, enjoying Cibo’s great cocktails.
Great service, nice vibes, good quality food but overpriced in my opinion.
Extensive, creative menu includes pasta, risotto, seafood, and a variety of personal pizzas. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Cocktails were fun, as well.
Greta place for a date or hangout with friends. Amazing collection of wines and italian food
It was our 16yr Wedding Anniversary. We had gone to the Jays’s game first and had booked a reso to come here for dinner as we have heard great things from friends that had been. I had put in the reservation notes that we were coming for our 16yr Anniversary but there was no mention of it upon arrival or throughout our visit :( We live in Barrie and we’re excited to spend our Anniversary in the city as we had gotten a babysitter so we could have a day away.
Food was good. Service was meh. Atmosphere was good. Would I come back? Maybe if I was already in the city, but I wouldn’t make a concerted effort to do so.
We did have a decent dinner at Cibo and I know that it is known for their good food, but there were a few issues that I feel shouldn't have occurred at a restaurant of this level. We ordered a nice bottle of Amarone, which was great, as well as a Caesar salad and the grilled calamari to start. The salad was wonderful, but the squid was very rubbery and had very little flavour, so that was disappointing. Our pastas -- the lamb ragu pappardelle and the orecchiette with rapini and sausage -- were amazing. My husband had the cheesecake, which was very good and I just had a cappuccino, which was delivered cold. Our server was nice, but kind of cool and clinical and we had to ask for ground pepper twice. That should be offered, I feel. We were just finishing our salad when a food runner brought our entrees and then proceeded to remove our salad plates and the salad bowl when we still had food in our plates and in the bowl. I had to ask him twice to leave everything. We would go back because parts of the meal were terrific, but I would hope for more consistent service next time.
Second time there and I was just as impressed with the food as I was the first time. Best restaurant in T.O.!!!
Food was ok. Needed salt. Service was terrible!! Did not see out waitress to see how the food was. Not offered fresh beeper or parm. Didn’t get asked if we wanted another glass of wine. Waited forever for her to come back once someone else cleared our plates and all she asked was if we wanted desert. We expected a fine dining experience but was probably the worst service we have ever had.
