Cibo Wine Bar-Coral Gables Ratings and Reviews
Glad i used the app to book it was packed. Ive eaten here before and the Italian food is nice and can be tailored to your desires. A bit of a mix up with our bill at the end but easily sorted.
A lot of trendies use this place and if you can speak Spanish you will have an easy time ordering.
Our service was just awful. Our dinner took 3 hours and John our waiter had to be flagged down several times and then was not very pleasant when he did come over. We also had a girl serving us part of the time which was confusing, but at least she was nice. I will admit 1/2 of our party was late for our reservation, but our waiter seemed to punish us the rest of the evening. I would have preferred if the restaurant had been honest and said they couldn't seat us if the entire party was not there. We gave them that option. I wish we would've left. Food was ok, not great at all. Ambiance was good but very loud. It was my daughters birthday and she hated the food & the evening. Very disapointing.
We keep going back but not sure why. The service was fine except for our drink order took way too long but the server explained the bar was backed up which seems plausible since it was busy. The food while good was exceptionally salty to the point of being inedible. Not worth the $18-20 for a plate of pasta. Very lively and loud scene so would recommend for drinks/ happy hour. We had to sit as close as possible to each other to hear what was being said. The restaurant is attractive but lacks anything on the walls to buffer the noise! Out door dining on side but no atmosphere to speak of. Too many choices in the immediate area to go back again.
I have been going to Cibo for a long time, food was good as usual, however, this was the first time that I tried Miami Spice, and I was surprised to see that they only serve half of the trout (the menu doesn't mention it).
I usually get it a main dish, and it' s served whole. I saw it on the Miami Spice menu, and I thought was a nice way to save some money...... not is a trick, you only get half of the portion.
Lovely restaurant, good food, great service, but as usual parking on Miracle Mile is a major headache. The restaurant has partnered with a valet company about a block away, but it is not on the website. Good food and great service go unrecognized if people cannot park.
This was my 4th visit to Cibo; this time was my birthday dinner with immediate family and 3 friends. All was great, but I didn't appreciate the tricky way they tried to get more than the 18% gratuity already applied. Thankfully, we are not fools.
