Cibo Waterfront Cafe
Great food and service would definitely recommend!!
I celebrated my birthday there and all my friends think the food is awesome!! Especially the crispy risotto and the mushroom pizza! The cocktail is good too and the server is nice! A good experience!
Need a dinner menu.
More of a lunch place
Need a better alcohol menu
The ambiance and service was very good. We enjoyed the calamari and our cocktails! The Carbonnara was very tasteless with no trace of bacon cheese spices......... just pasta. The steak sandwich arrived at the table stone cold so of course we mentioned that to our server who said another one would be prepared for us but everyone was eating and by the time it did arrive everyone else was pretty much done. Not sure what that minced stuff was on the bread but it was bland and made the bread soggy and the steak was tough. It was taken off our bill and thank you for that but it still was not a meal that was enjoyed. The burger and fries were very good and the other pasta dish with the brisket was ok. Overall we expected much much more as it was recommended to us but not sure we will be rushing back anytime soon. Thank you for the opportunity to write this review.
Two people from our table were sick later that night. Both had the friend chicken sandwich.
Beautiful quaint Café with very tasty food. The service is great and I will definitely be back!
The service was great, but we found the food to be under-seasoned and bland in flavor. We had the pickerel appetizer, Primavera pasta and the Cibo pizza. Given the quality of ingredients and price, we expected more flavor. We likely wouldn't go back again. Also, given the overall ambiance, we found the TV playing Nascar to be a bit strange.
food was very good. calamari very good. bruchetta choices excellent. pizza tasty
The food and the service were absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back.
I ordered the vegetarian sandwich. It was very bland. The server asked how my meal was and i told her it was bland. Her response was'That is our most popular sandwich!" That's it. I hardly ate any of it.
We were seated close to a serving station and a server sprayed water on my sister. I let the server know. No apology. I guess good help is hard to find.
We were almost a half hour late because of traffic but Cibo not only held our reservation but also made sure we received our food quickly enough to meet our friends for before-theatre drinks at another location. When my husband asked to change to a table with more comfortable seating, we were promptly and graciously relocated. Turns out the new table had a great view of the river and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. The steak salad was great as was the antipasto platter. Service was prompt, yet despite being on a tighter schedule than we had planned, we never felt rushed. Thanks Cibo for helping me relax and for launching a great night after the wear and tear of getting through downtown!
The restaurant was quite busy for a Monday night but the serving staff were quite prompt and courteous. The food was very good, and the portions were large enough to share.
Service is attentive not intrusive.
Food was good...Caesar salad needed zip...more lemon or anchovies.
I always enjoy eating at Cibo. I had Carbonara and it was delicious. There was a bite to it and I feel that it elevated the taste of the dish. Our waiter was friendly and the service was excellent. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
Had a great meal.
Good food good service attend on a regular basis when downtown over supper hour
Out with friends. Great conversation with great food. Upper corner table...perfect
Always excellent food and ambiance. Service is a little slow.
Our server was great! The food was just good but not worth the price. I found a onion skin in my salad.
I question the overall cleanliness of this place. There was someone’s hospital mask under our table, which is gross. And the ladies bathroom was dirty with unclean toilets, dirty rags on the floor, and out of hand soap.
For my moms birthday,
They had one server on for a very crowded restaurant. Service was pretty slow
We enjoyed a family dinner with excellent service and delicious food! We enjoyed great views of the river. The local beer on tap was great! The pizza, bruschetta and blackened chicken sandwich were awesome! We had one of the best waiters we have had at any Winnipeg restaurant!🙌🏻🏆
Steak was slightly overdone and they did not have any steak sauce available.
The setting is lovely. The food and service was excellent.
The location is great: very close to the Concert Hall, MTC, Sports Manitoba ... United Way ... many places you may be coming from or going to.
Our food could have stood a little more seasoning but other than that everything was perfect.
Amazing food! Fabulous environment! Would highly recommend
all i got to say is it was my first time there and i will be back forsure everthing was great the food was amazing.
The modern elements combined with this old historic building set right on the river gave a perfect ambience. It feels like a special place without being pretentious. It was very full when we went so it did seem loud but not that we had to yell to hear each other. The food was delicious and tasty and the Jenna Rae Cakes dessert menu was a treat. The Creme Brûlée macaron is heaven in your mouth. My only suggestion would be to have a bit more selection with some lighter entrees and maybe some more pizza options ... like being able to build your own pizza. Can’t wait to go back in summer to try the patio.
Cibo has hands-down the best pizza crust in town, and the toppings are just as delicious!
Great atmosphere for a date, staff was friendly and fairly attentive, menu was simple but food was great. Would recommend.
Cool location and building. Our server was AWESOME!! Food was good Had a great evening.
We’ve eaten at Cibos a few times, usually breakfast when staying at The Mere Hotel. We enjoy the old warehouse style building right on the river and walk along the Waterfront.
The food is always good. Portions don’t leave us hungry and we find the staff attentive and friendly.
We were at Cibo on Thursday, March 28th, to celebrate my boyfriend's 30th birthday. Cibo has long been one of our favourite restaurants. We tend to go there quite often and have never had a bad experience. This time, we ordered our favourite - arancini, followed by a shared pizza and salad. We then took the creme brulee macaron to go. Boy was it great! The service was good, as usual, the food was tasty and overall, we had a great time! Thanks!
My colleagues loved the lunch.
Perfect spot and great food every time.
Great food and atmosphere!
The food is inventive and fabulous. The wait staff are friendly and efficient. My pizza was delicious. We will be back.
Great value drinks a little pricey for winnipeg
I love CIBO. I always bring people and friends from out of town visiting to show them what first class restaurants we do have. The only negative thing I have to say about it is the parking metres on a Saturday in this area. I really truly believe it is a deterrent for business for you. Your restaurant was only half full that morning and I drove past Stellas on Pembina just 15 minutes after I left your restaurant and it looked like it was packed with a big line up down the street. And your food is 10xs better than Stellas.
The server was friendly and attentive. The burger was delicious and came with a large serving of crispy French fries. There is a delicious selection of both cocktails and on tap beer. Wonderful!
