Wonderful place to enjoy a delicious meal before a classical venue down the street or heavy metal (Sabaton and HammerFall) concert
Overall very good. I would have appreciated a 6oz pour for the price paid for my glasses of wine as opposed to the 5oz pour served.

Food was fantastic. 100% go back
It was a wonderful dining experience. Good food, good wine and cocktails, good service. Would definitely recommend.
The maître d very kindly accepted my reservation for 4 when I had accidentally made if for 2. Wait staff was very patient with us taking our time with menu choosing but when I did decide on my Burrard starter it goes down as my favourite thing ever!!
The perfect place for a pre-Symphony meal; staff were friendly, service efficient and the pasta sublime! We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable afternoon with complimentary bubbly for a birthday toast. The food is exceptional but the gold star ⭐️ goes to the unparalleled hospitality extended by Cibo’s staff.
Great birthday supper here. Service was good, menu selections were tasty. Good value for the price too.
Everything started out great... until the restaurant filled up (concert night at the Orpheum). They were short staff; food and service slowed down badly. Tables around us were all frustrated. Ruined the mood around us. Food was good but portions on the small side. Glad we went very early or we would have missed the show!
Not much food for the money. Nice place.
Great dinner with group of friends and Jacklyn took great care of us. The appetizers were wonderful and we each had a different homemade pasta which were all equally delicious. Be sure to enjoy one if their signature cocktails and of course the tiramisu.
The place was full of guests when we arrived. Because there were a lot of large tables, it was very noisy even when we were sitting in the back corner. Food was great!
Our server was excellent, so kind and genuine. The food was delicious, just wished their brunch menu was more extensive, with more choices.
I ordered the half chicken. Only half the order came to the table. What happened?
Very modern and clean ambience.
Spaghetti alle Vongole : Good
Bistecca : Taste good but too expensive for just a few pieces
Branzino (Sea Bass) : Wonderful !
The steak was very good. However it was over priced for six bites. My girlfriend got the spaghetti and meatballs and the sauce was ragu from a can. Over all not impressed with the food or the price for the sub par food
I really enjoyed my time here! There was 3 of us for after work drinks. The ambience/food/drink was great, but what made it really amazing was the service! They got me a great table, were able to open the window to the street and were super nice/helpful/professional without helicoptering around you if you know what I mean? 10/10 would return.
Outstanding Italian food. Excellent service. Jacqueline the server made our night. Thank you
We had a very disappointing dining experience and do not recommend this restaurant.
My husband and I had a dinner reservation before a concert at the Orpheum. We chose the Orpheum set menu and were assured by our server that we would have plenty of time to enjoy our dinner before having to leave for our concert. After fifteen minutes, our wine had not arrived. The waitress told us that it was her first shift, and the restaurant was full, so we were understanding. Our first course arrived--great meatballs and mediocre salad. We waited another half an hour and our main courses had not arrived. The server said it was not her fault and was unapologetic. There was no manager to assist, merely another waiter who came over and said he'd have to take it up with the manager later. Another table was also complaining that they would have to leave without eating. A very unacceptable beginning to our evening out, and we left hungry and disappointed.
Food was okay but service was way too slow. Been there years ago but it was actually much better back then. Very disappointed.
The food and service were spectacular but do give yourself some time. This is finer dining and not fast food. If you are catching a show, allow yourself two hours. Well worth the wait!
Lovely place with great food, enjoyed the proximity to a really fun bar
Quiet setting with good food and wine conveniently located close to the Orpheum.
Hello, thank you for the lovely review, yes we are located just across the road! If you like Cibo you will love are sister bar next door, UVA its a hot spot after the Orpheum, and a great way to end the night. We hope to see you again soon.
Great food and service
I Went for an early dinner with a friend. The server was very friendly. We shared the chickpea crepe stuffed with calamari, the meatballs and the gnocchi with asparagus in a butter sauce. I found the calamari a little chewy, but the meatballs were melt in your mouth delicious. The gnocchi was also excellent. We also shared a half litre of an Italian merlot which was very nice. All and all a great dinner.
This cosy restaurant has a lovely ambience. We were there on a Wednesday evening before seeing a show. We were able to converse easily and were seated comfortably. The menu had a good variety of foods, we four each chose a different item and were pleased with our dinners. The service was perfect, attentive but not overbearing. We will definitely choose this restaurant in the future.
Service was very poor and amateurish. There is a limited menu and the server could not answer basic questions on ingredients, saying she was “new”. Some basic training could have helped. Worse the wine glasses were brought to the table by the server holding the bowls not the stems. Same issue when she poured the wine- she held the bowl like pouring a beer. In a wine centric restaurant this is simply inexcusable.
Mind it was a Tuesday morning, but the place was completely under staffed. They only had one waitress who was also acting as the hostess and runner. Plus judging by the fact that it took 45 minutes for a breakfast sandwich and a egg/meat dish there was only one cook. Terrible situation for both the staff and the customers.
Thank you for your email regarding your experience. First and foremost we would like to apologize that we let you down with our service. We understand this does not offer a good impression. We do our best to provide the highest levels of customer service to each guest in all our venues, and customer feedback is how we improve. Many guests will not say anything at all, opting instead to stop visiting an establishment altogether. Thank you and we are going to do better.
The food was blah and the service was blah. The focaccia was blah. Would not recommend.
Everything about the experience was wonderful! The cocktails, food, and dessert were some of the best we’ve had in Vancouver. My wife can not eat gluten and they worked with her to adapt a dish to have a fantastic gluten-free pasta dish.
Hi, Thank you so much for the kind words I am happy to hear that it is some of the best food, cocktails and desserts in Vancouver. I will be sure to pass it on your our staff. Hope to see you again so you and your wife can try even more dishes!!
It’s not really authentic Italian cuisine, but I loved the food regardless. I took meatballs as appetizer and sea bass as main.
Both dishes were really good, I was just surprised that fish came with a hefty portion of chickpeas , which I never saw in Italy, and I didn’t really care for. Service was good, not over the top and not overly sugary-sweet, which I liked. It was pretty quiet so we all could talk without screaming and trying to talk over other screaming guests or loud music, as it sometimes happens in other places. All in all it’s very decent and I would go there again.
Hi, Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback as this is how we improve. We look forward to seeing you again.
awesome place and great service!
Great food - but disorganised poor service. Staff seemed to have no idea about what they were doing. No system at all. Resulted in customers sitting there with no drinks for a long time, no plates cleared, and customers having to get up and ask for the cheque.
Great place to go with friends
Food was good, waitress was awesome but portion is too small for the price it costs. I almost wanted to grab a slice of pizza at the store nearby to fill the empty space.
First time to Cibo. We were looking for an early Father’s Day dinner with our adult children. Amazing, we are very happy with the service and food! Defiantly will return.
We had eaten at this restaurant several times in the past and it was good. We booked it for a post theatre dinner thinking it would be a good reliable choice. What a mistake that was. Our dinner was just not good. The meatballs lacked any real flavour, the spaghetti vongole was the blandest I have ever eaten, the sauteed kale could have done with some garlic and flavour, the only half decent thing we had was the creamy polenta which was good. I now understand that the chef has changed and this is unfortunate. I am sure that others agree with my assessment because the restaurant was 3/4 empty on a Friday night, that says it all.
Used to go regularly until a couple of years ago. Menu has changed. Food very good. Will probably become a regular again.
Everything was beautiful the service the food the atmosphere and no loud music so you could talk easily
The tagliatelle bolognese was delicious! Worth the visit for this alone.
