This lovely, friendly, restaurant in a wasteland of good dining spots lost its lease with SL Green who doubled the rate with no negotiation. Our "go to" favorite is gone after 22 years. I am in mourning!

We went here recently with a group of 10 on a Sat night. Made reservations a week ahead of time and were seated when we arrived. Good food & good service.

Went with friends and totally enjoyed ourselves. The appetizers were a bit sparse but the entrees were terrific.

Described as having Tuscan-New American fare. Would suggest that the menu leaned more towards plain Italian and there was little evidence of New American in any of the offerings

Decor was dated, although the dining room was decked out for Valentine's Day with red slipcovers on all the chairs.

Food and service were decent enough, but I would not place this establishment on a list of must-do returns.

Cibo is a favorite go to place in the neighborhood as it never disappoints. Food and service are good, and prices reasonable. I've never been disappointed.

My wife and I had another wonderful meal at Cibo this Martin Luther King weekend. Even though our neighborhood offers several excellent restaurants, this place stands out for the consistent quality of its food and service. We have noticed that the standard of quality at some restaurants declines during a holiday weekend. This is certainly not the case at Cibo.

Celebrated a 60th birthday gathering with 5 high school friends and Cibo was the perfect place. I had made a reservation and even though we arrived early, they were ready for us. We were seated in an "alcove" type of table which gave us privacy and the freedom to have fun and not interfere with others dining experience. The staff was friendly and professional (and very patient considering it took us awhile to be ready to order, lol). The food and drinks were excellent, everyone liked everything that they ordered. Prices reasonable for Manhattan. Definitely recommend.

We were initially not given the corner table requested. However, the manager finally agreed - which was nice. Good food, service and ambiance.

Went with friends to dinner at Cibo.
Service is fabulous and ambiance was lovely.
Cozy and warm, nice bar.
We ordered the fish and chicken and it was nicely prepared and very tasty. Nice sides with it.
The food temperature was perfect and the portions generous.
The cocktails were great and the wine good.
I recommend Cibo for a delicious dinner and cozy atmosphere with excellent service.

Good place for brunch. Disappointed they had run out of mussels. We've been to this restaurant many times.

Always reliable nice cozy restaurant near Grand Central. The dinner 3-course prix-fixe menu of $39 was excellent value with a wide selection of appetizers, main courses and dessert. The menu changes ensuring fresh ingredients for the season. A little bit tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Grand Central and yet close by made this a great place for a quiet conversation in mid-town.

Four of us had sunday brunch at Cibo. It's a great spot to catch up with friends for a few hours while enjoying very tasty food. We all had different entrees, each was very good. Two courses including a cocktail and coffee for $20 is a fabulous value in such a lovely, friendly setting.

We had a lovely Christmas dinner. Though we did have a choice of a few items, we chose turkey, which was excellent; however, we laughed to ourselves that we just spent $200 for turkey!

Christmas dinner was very special, aside from several menu choices they had a full roast turkey dinner that was like being at mom's. The staff was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. For the years we have been visiting Cibo there has been no problems other then overeating. Try the Pomegranate Martini, or two! Butternut squash soup, NY Strip, salads and deserts. The only problem is picking what to eat. We will be returning.

Unfortunately, I came for Christmas brunch and had no idea that there was a prix fixe and it honestly was not worth $65 per person. The appetizer was soup or a salad. The entrees were large but they weren't that tasty. We ordered the steak, the turkey dinner and salmon. I have been here in the past and enjoyed brunch but this prix fixe menu was just an ordinary lunch. So disappointed.

We where revived and seated like royals.
The service was exelent and to the point withour the feeling that we was watched all the time. Very good.
The food was tasty and really good in large but not groose portions.
Overall a really good experiance that we easily could recomend to others.
HOWEVER as a European the price was VERY high.
Still...an very enjoyfull evening for us...well done Cibo and staff.

Haven't eaten here for a long time. Was disappointed. Food portion was much smaller than it used to be. Although restaurant was not very busy and had alot of staff, service was not attentive. Had to ask for coffee refill 3 times, then gave up. Friend asked for bread basket when she arrived early but they ignored her. Will try at another time. Hope experience is better.Used to love this place.

One of my team members recently hit a milestone anniversary with the company, and I asked her about a team lunch in her honor. She liked the idea, but the places she suggested were on the East side, so they would be almost impossible for a lunch (we work are on 2nd). When I started looking for an alternative location, holiday parties had already started booking everything, so the choices I had experience with had no availability.
When I looked at Cibo, the menu looked good, and the prices okay. Oh, and they could accommodate my party of 12.
On the date of our lunch, Cibo was ready for us, and everything looked great. Service was a little slow at the start, but picked up quickly. The food and drinks were everything we expected, but the room was pretty loud.
I would definitely go again.

Thanksgiving in a restaurant often means food that tastes like it's been prepared for the masses. Not here. Everything tasted like it was made just for us. We were late and ended up just ordering before they closed the kitchen. Not surprisingly, we were the last to leave. Still, the food and service were impeccable. Two thumbs up to the host, manager, bartender, waiter, and of course, the chef.

I was meeting a former colleague and wanted a place that we could sit down to catch up that was not a pub and wouldn't break the bank. Surprisingly, in midtown that can be a challenge. Cibo was perfect. The menu is great and it's also a good spot for drinks after work.
