They just added pizzas to their menu (lunch and dinner) and they are excellent!! Thin crispy crust and very fine toppings. Great cheese if you're a fan of good mozzarella on your pizza. Just a lovely neighborhood spot with a new cozy bar area recently added on.
Where do I begin?! After being greeted by the extremely pleasant staff, my date and I sat at a beautifully set table. The ambiance is charming! We were promptly greeted by the waitress where we ordered a bottle of fine wine. I can’t say enough about the beyond delicious food! The grilled octopus appetizer was to die for! Followed by wild mushroom tortellini and black cavatelli which were both cooked to perfection! Unfortunately, we did not have time for dessert but we will definitely be coming back for another visit to try some. Five stars for Cibo e Vino!
Arrived at 4pm for early dinner. Was disappointed we were given a brunch/lunch menu. Service was ok. Staff was confused one took our plates and utensils after our appetizers and before our entree. We were never served bread. Didn’t bother to ask. Grilled octopus was perfectly cooked great dressing. Tagatelli with ragu supberb.
Birthday and leaving for camp for the summer
Food is authentic and delicious. People are friendly and considerate !
The service was non existent and unpleasant. NYC restaurants usually do far better than this.
Incredible desserts. Food always top notch. Great neighborhood hangout. Pasta homemade and really fresh. We go every time we are in time.
Always good and they always ignore the concept of comfortably paced dining.
It can take overly long for wine to be brought to the table- often AFTER appetizers are served - and as soon as first course is cleared, the entrees are on the table.
For European-born owners/staff, the ignoring of pacing is astonishing. And very unappealing.
Overall very positive. The cauliflower appetizer was delicious. The chicken Milanese was too dry.
The service was ok the food so so we complain becouse the pasta came already with the cheese on top ,its a big mistake they have to ask ,the salad they didn't offer oil or pepper we had to ask for it i dont recomend these restaurant!!
The seating for 3 people is a VERY small round table so we opted for a high top table which worked out okay. Hostess would not give us a table for 4.
The service was very good and atmosphere cosy and pleasant and the food on the bland side.
I would go back and perhaps try other dishes.
However, I found that the wine serving was measly. figured they got 6-7 glasses out of a bottle.
Service was terrible and uncaring.
Our friend's fish was not edible
My lasagna was cold
I have been at the restaurant many times but Monday night was an embarrassment for myself and my wife
Cibo is my favorite places in the neighborhood. The space is lovely and warm and the food and service is always great. I have gone there for lunch, brunch, dinner and social hour and every time I have had a great experience. The tagliatelle bolognese is my favorite but have tried most things on the menu and they don't disappoint. The social hour is a very good deal- 50% off of wines and pastas.
Loved the place, vibe, food, wine , service TERRIFIC
Painfully slow service. Unpleasant tasting fish. The great menus of past have been eliminated such as fresh salmon and various great tasting vegetables. So disappointed.
Met some friends who were visiting NYC for lunch and we had a lovely time - great service; good lunch and a good location for us. Was relaxed and they accommodated my 15month old with ease. I would return, and recommend!
I was very disappointed to learn tonight that the gluten free pasta is cooked in the same water as the regular pasta. I’ve been going here since it opened and felt ill after my last visit so asked about how they cook the GF pasta tonight. GF is a health issue for me because of allergies.
I asked to speak with the manager and was told she had left already.
There is no point in offering GF pasta if it is prepared this way. Not sure I will be back.
Scallop special, filet mignon, roasted vegetables- all superb!
I’ve eaten at Cibo 30+ times. Until recently, food had improved consistently. Owners and staff have always been warm, friendly, responsive.
Usually, even with requests for it to be otherwise, service is overly fast. While not on this occasion, $160.00 later, with three personnel at the door. - including the evening’s host - not a single ‘Thank you,’ or ‘Good night,’.
Went Sunday at 6pm. The place was busy and had many kids!
We met friends from out of town and chose this for proximity to their hotel. Very pleasantly surprised. It’s small - maybe 16 tables - and with a lively bar. The noise level was loud but not deafening; it was possible to converse with out table mates. It was our waiter’s first day, but he was engaging and skilled (although his shift was apparently over in the middle of our meal and a colleague stepped in) and we all enjoyed the food which was carefully crafted and with the chef’s name on the menu to demonstrate his pride and conviction. The menu is somewhat small and limited, but we were able to find dishes that appealed and satisfied.
A great neighborhood restaurant.
Such a cute spot--so glad we tried this place out today. Great brunch and lunch options that are reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and doesn't rush you out, and the noise level is reasonable, too. I'll definitely be back!
Great restaurant! Runner by Serbians. Friendly & great food.
This is a neighborhood favorite for us. Food is always delightful, attractive and served at the right temperatures. It is really loud , however, which makes full table conversation challenging on a busy weekend night. Talking for two is manageable.
Food was unapologetically COLD!
First the wrong entrée came out, then the correct one was cold.
Ambience was very pleasant. Dinner was delicious with an interesting vegetable combination with the Branzino. Very enjoyable evening.
Food and server were great. Have eaten there for lunch many times. Unfortunately, there were two young children running around for awhile. This was a bit annoying as I was having a business lunch.
I have been here a few times one of our favorite neighborhood places!
Tasty food! It is the sister restaurant to Marlow on 110th Street which is also a wonderful place. Relaxed and casual vibe. Good place for a nice meal!
A friend and I tried this place, in my neighborhood for lunch. We shared a salad Nicoise and an omelet, and they were both excellent. The french fries that came with the omelet were perfectly done. The coffee afterward was also very nice. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was very pleasant. The place is cozy, but doesn't feel crowed.
This restaurant has a European ambiance with very professional, inviting, and relaxed staff.
Clearly, they know how to make their guests feel special. It was my daughter’s 21st birthday!
We loved the beautiful plants and decor, and the dinner that we enjoyed was memorable. The food is extremely fresh, with refreshingly unique ingredients.
The presentation was lovely.
See you again soon!!!
We are in the neighborhood and have come several times. We’ll be back. Staff balances care and privacy so well. Food was delicious and wine list is just right.
I’m not a complainer and usually I have liked this restaurant, but they ignored us, the food was cold, they brought us no bread and it was extremely frustrating. I’m actually irritated at myself for tipping 15%. They can do better. Ridiculous.
Great all around
Very good food and delicious wine!
Always pretty good food and last night was no exception. Wish they would change the chicken milanese to a healthier grilled variety. Best table in the house is high top in the bar area, lovely bartender serves you and quieter than other room.
Lovely decor, friendly and warm service, good food. Great neighborhood spot
Always a good experience: good food, good service. Convenient wheelchair access. Thanks!
