A local charm in a small strip mall in Centreville with some of the best Italian food east of Naples. Excellent appetizers and entrees. Mangia.

Such a delight! Authentic Italian/Sicilian foods are as close to homemade as possible.
It was hard choosing from the many tempting appetizers, entrees and desserts! We had a superb carafe of the house Merlot that was just right for four of us. We know we will be returning soon and many times!!

Very good food, make a reservation as there is a wait. You'll wait past your time unless you're a regular but once seated the service is top
notch and the food very good. I had eggplant and it was delicious! The right balance of ingredients so you can taste eggplant and not just cheese and sauce.

The dining experience was excellent. The food was excellent. I ordered the lasagne and it was among the best I'd ever had. My girlfriend loved the chicken marsala. The Syrah from Chile was excellent. Ciao was extremely busy and the seating was crowded. The noise level was high the entire meal. Despite the noise level the dinner overall was five star.

I met my mom at Ciao on Friday for my birthday. We loved it and I'd happily go back!

Food highlights: We both loved the red sauce used in the eggplant antipasti and meat lasagna. She ordered the grouper special, which she loved, too. The gelato is the closest I've had to gelato served in Italy since I was in Italy 3 years ago. Delicious!

Service highlights: The owner stopped by our table (and other diners, too) and the waiter brought a gelato dessert for my birthday!

The only note I'll leave to other diners discretion is the setup of tables for 2. I thought they were set very closely together and it can make for a tight, awkward exit. This wasn't a major detractor for me, but I was apologizing for bumping into my neighbors when I was gathering my gift, jacket and purse to leave.

Food was great and even the ordinary daily dish we liked was cooked exotically.
No complaints by any of our diners.
Staff was very receptive and attentive.

What a find

Great Italian food, including salads, chicken, veal, desserts and wine.Great ambience, including decor and music.Very good fresh bread and olive oil dip.Very friendly owner and cook.Very good service, but sometimes the waiting period for food can be a little long,on Valentine's Day , for example, but that's probably to be expected.

Don't let the strip-mall façade fool you, this is a great medium sized family restaurant. The food is superb and the service very friendly. We were there for V-day so it was packed, noisy and it was a little long between the ordering and receiving food, so this might not be a typical night. As mentioned, the wait for food was long, but the food is well worth the wait. Most servings I saw were plentiful, but my wife's Red Snapper, while tasty and perfectly prepared, was rather small. The calamari was melt in your mouth tender and the tiramisu was probably the best I have had outside of Europe. Check out the photos you can find on-line for a better idea.

Beyond our favorite restaurant in the area. We moved from Centreville to Manassas and miss this place. It's definitly not too far to return on special occasions and when we want to splurge on a romantic date. The ambiance is authentic and Sal, the owner is always so kind to us when we are there. Our Valentine's Day meal was by far the BEST meal we have ever had at Ciao.

We went on Valentine's day with another couple and each of our meals was outstanding. The wives had veal dishes off the regular menu, my friend had one of the fish specials and I had a combination of stuffed chicken and veal. As usual the meals were done to perfection even though the restaurant was a sell out this evening. The owner Sal stopped by to check on us several times to make sure things were up to his standards.

Food, ambience, service and everything was excellent. Only complaint is the noise level was pretty loud. Nice place and we will go back when it is not as crowded and noisy.

We came in for our weekly date night, we were promptly seated (we had reservations and would highly recommend making reservations since the place was packed on a Sunday evening). We started with the grilled Octopus and wow was it great--an excellent char on the meat and beautifully arranged on plater. Our waiter,Jed, recommended Sal, the owner's, favorite Rosso Toscanini for our wine which we found to be a great value at its price and yes it was delicious. For dinner we had to sample their Margherita Pizza since they have one of the Two Niapoli wood fired pizza ovens in NoVA. It was the best I've had outside of when I'm actually in Naples Italy!
For our entree we had the special Manzo Involto which is beef wrapped around a split shank bone with prosciutto and mozzarella severed over risotto. It was over the top in flavor and tenderness---extremely succulent and satisfying. We finished the evening with their home made tiramisu which again was outstanding.
During our meal we meet the owner Sal, who walked thru the restaurant greeting everyone like we were old friends...he and his wife Gina made us new old friends. We can't wait to visit with them again and enjoy another wonderful meal.
This place is a genuine gem run by folks who proudly provide excellent food and warm hospitality....

Over priced basic Italian food. Signs say "Top 100 and best of DMV" but there was nothing special out of any of our dishes. I am a huge foodie from fine dining to hole in the wall restaurants and was highly disappointed in the food here.
