Ciao Bella Ratings and Reviews
The food here is amazing! The Seared Ahi Tuna and Short Rib and Roasted Tomato Ravioli were exceptional. The wait staff were so friendly and professional and extremely attentative to our table. The whole experience is well worth the price. I will stop here again next time I’m in the twin cities.
Inadvertly has made a reservation online for the day after valintines day so we then looked for it on the 14th is was not there. Totally embrassed and my wife a bit sad. Our lovely host and then manager said let me see what I can find. Found us maybe the best spot in the bar and I was humbeled. We had a martini with real stuffed olives! Ordered a small Calamari which I had to say was pretty dam fantastic since there are only a few that do it correctly. Ordered the glazed Brussels sprouts which were like a dessert and when well with our lobster nocce which we shared it all. Their bread mopped up the losbster sauce at the end. We finished with a lemon dessert. Our waiter was a super pro and she could have not been better. All of the waitstaff were fantastic!!! Basically my screwup turned into the best possible dining experience I have had in awhile. Oh and we went because my buddy gave me a gift card so I thought let’s give it a try since I had not been at ciao bells for a number of years. I can see why they have been going strong since 1997!!! I would rate our whole experience a 10 or double 5 Star Thanks to all the staff who made it happen!
The service was slow for a lunch. I sat for about 15 minutes before our lunch order was taken. The food was ok but not great (great = telling other people about it).
the other party and I both ordered the crab sandwich. The plate looked appealing enough. The bread under the crab was a bit soggy. The crab was OK. The sauce was nothing special. The fries accompanying the sandwich were generally more soggy versus crisp.
I'd rate the experience overall at a 6-7 at best. Probably more like a 6 since I expect more frpom Ciao Bella
Fantastic food, staff, management!! Ambiance is very inviting and friendly. Value is very good and the food is always prepared with care. Great place for any occasion! The bar is full service and a great variety of popular beverages are available. The wait staff is attentive and caters to your every need. The parmesan shrimp is a fantastic appetizer.
Excellent service-we were early and they accommodated us and gave us a table in a quiet spot. So ok that was great as I was entertaining guests for the Super bowl and it was the farewell lunch. But Joey, the manager Santiago- all joined up to make it a terrific experience. Great food, wine, service- an altogether A+ time. Thank you. Sue
I’ve dined here for years and never had a bad meal. The ahi tuna crisps are delicious. I love the pasta, pizza or fish entrees. The wine list is recognizable and includes great options that you don’t usually find by the glass... like Cakebread Chardonnay. You can go casual or dressy for special occasions. I highly recommend this restaurant as one of my favorites.
Went on Super Bowl weekend. As a fairly regular visitor, had no idea they were going to jack up their prices 30%. The dish I regularly order is @$34 - it was @ $42. Quite disappointing. Was told by staff that their 'vendors increased prices on them'. Really? Maybe 10-15%, but 30%? That was really out of line, and disappointing for a place I've gone to for 15+ years.
I went here for dinner with my fiancée and his dad.
They both had fruitti di mari pasta which was AMAZING. I had Tuscan kale salad which they veganized for me and it was delicious. We started with the warm olives - the green ones were outstanding!! Definitely recommend that as a starter. The boys loved the fresh bread and butter. Lots of people there for a Tuesday so it had great energy as well. Will be back!
As usual - simply excellent! We dine at Ciao Bella numerous times throughout the year - but always on my wife's birthday. Same table ever year, same great service every year, always fantastic food. These people know what they are doing - first class all the way!
The service was incredible; our waiter, Scottie, was very attentive to our table and we never had an empty wine or water glass! The mozzarella bruschetta was amazing and the entrees were great as well. The only downside is that this place, for a date, can get a bit too loud. It's perfect for group gatherings and for certain date dynamics but definitely not for everyone.
One of the very best dining experiences I have ever had. The food was delicious, our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive yet unobtrusive, and it felt like every single employee was committed to making our evening perfect. I would gladly recommend Ciao Bella to anyone.
