The food is very good. The veal was outstanding and the Salmon was cooked just the way we liked it.
Great service, very relaxing
Appetizer was poor —main was good—2 people happy —2 people unhappy
There were three in our party. The entrees salmon on spinach, and chicken with pasta were very good.
I had the brussels sprouts entree salad which was a disappointment. Since there was a roasted vegetable entree salad also on the menu, I wrongfully assumed the sprouts would be cooked in some manner, but they were not-- totally raw. My fault, I did not ask if they were cooked. Since they were described as shaved, I took that literally. I was wrong once again, as they were sliced, not shaved. A large plate of sliced, raw brussels sprouts is quite a challenge to eat. I could not manage this.
Again referencing the roasted vegetable salad, I suggest roasting the sliced sprouts in olive oil with plenty of garlic, add more pine nuts and avocado, and add roasted red pepper and grated cheese.
As always a great dining experience.
Wonderfully presented authentic cucina Italliano!
First time ever going, it was for a special occasion too and it was the best first experience I’ve had at a restaurant ever. Can’t wait to go back!
FOR SOME REASON THEY NEVER KNEW WE WERE THERE> THEY CLAIM WE PULLED A NO SHOW. WE HAD COCKTAILS_SOUP_AND DINNER. AND YET THEY REPORT TO OPEN TABLE WE DID NOT SHOW UP ! NEVER HAVE WE DONE A NO-SHOW ! WE ARE NOT HAPPY WITH CIAO AT THIS TIME
3 couples came out to celebrate a fun night and had poor service, that continued throughout the night.
Always our favorite choice to celebrate and the food is superb
Perfect as always
There's nothing more special than feeling like you've slipped away from Toledo for a little while. The birthday value is phenomenal and the entire staff made my special someone feel extra special for his birthday. Thank you!
One of the best locally owned restaurants in Toledo!
Again an exceptional experience. The restaurant was very busy but the food was still excellent. Our server was wonderful and did a superb job, as well. Fabulous restaurant!
We had a delicious dinner. The only upsetting thing was when I booked the reservation I chose outdoor seating and we got to the restaurant we were told they could not guaranteed us seating outside even though is was booked that way. Thankfully after waiting in the bar for a while we were able to be seated outside. However the reservation should tell you outdoor seating is not guaranteed!!
ALWAYS GREAT FOOD AND RELIABLE SERVICE. ONE OF OUR REGULAR STOPS!
Service was very good however was disappointed in the food. We have not been there for several years so we were excited to try it. Halibut was over cooked and the olive oil pasta was tasteless. Salad, bread and appetizers were delicious though. We may or may not be back.
Excellent food, ambience & service
This is a great restaurant experience. It was really busy so I understand the time. Brenda is a great GM. Honored our anniversary which was not excepted. You will not be disappointed.
Service was amazing, food was ok, but for the price it should have been better
Wish I could remember the server name. She was great. Thanks for always being consistent 👍
No server to table- asked someone if he was our waiter- he went to get her - about 7-10 min wait.
All attentive then.
When leaving- manager and waitress were standing/ talking to each other at check in area- totally ignoring us leaving.
The special fish was excellent, and sitting out on the patio is always very pleasant.
Great atmosphere...perfect location for a night out
Amazing food, service, and outdoor seating! We cannot wait to return!
We love Ciao but not so much the changes. The bread basket was different and we did not enjoy the bread. My favorite chicken dish was no longer on the menu. Dessert was ok. My husbands dinner was wonderful though. Our server Amy was great!!
We are fans of your restaurant. The atmosphere is comfortable, friendly and inviting, and the food is superb. The staff is very personable, helpful and aim to please. We will visit whenever possible. Thank you for making this a wonderful experience.
Food was delicious as always! Service was awful. We had two tables of 10 people each next to us. Our two waiters were more interested in waiting on them than us. Our food took forever and then the two
waiters never came back to check on us or ask if we needed anything. There seemed to be a huge issue with the checks for the two tables and our waiters as well as the manager were quite wrapped up
in that situation. Finally our waiter showed up and we expressed our concerns. He sent the manager over. He was not a good manager. I am used to dealing with Brenda when we eat there. She was not there. The manager was giving a list of excuses regarding the large group. That had nothing to do with us. As I stated, the food was great. Always is. They need to get rid of that manager. He was awful!!!
The only thing I have to say about is last time we were offered free champagne and dessert as it was our 1st wedding anniversary. This time we were offered nothing at it was out 2nd wedding anniversary. I know you are not obligated to give us anything but it was a nice gesture and that's the reason we decided to come back for our 2nd anniversary.
What I had was a heavy dose of bread crumbs and bunch of cheap spaghetti. Really not a high class
Great meal in a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
Celebrated my Dad's 93rd birthday with his favorite Chicken Parmesan. We received a birthday discount, too. Enjoyed the meal.
There is nothing bad about dining here. They were able to accommodate my late reservation change with no problem. The service was prompt and accurate. I will definitely be back
Wedding Anniversary dinner. Exceptional from start to finish.
Ciao is a well run, well managed, locally owned restaurant with great food.
Food was wonderful, staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was very nice with a low noise level. We have never had a bad experience at Ciao. 5 stars
Poor service. Food was average. No recognition of the birthday celebration. Seems like this great restaurant has deteriorated.
Service, ambiance, location, noise level were all excellent. the only drawback was this time my strip steak was grisly. The flavor was fine. Our service was outstanding (Aszia).
Service was horrible, host came to table twice because server had not come to table after being seated for 15 minutes. Server found knat on our bread!
Food was good as usual. Waiting seemed to be having difficulty multi-tasking, i.ie., carrying more than one item at a time.
Ciao made a huge mistake substituting their take on pizza bread instead of the excellent Italian bread they served in the past. May save them a couple bucks overall, but poor decision in the long run as the excellent Italian bread had become a hallmark of Ciao, and set them apart from all the other italian restaurants in the area.
