with espresso flavored lady fingers, layered with mascarpone cheese filling
fried calamari served with saffron aioli
lightly fried cheese filled ravioli served with tomato-basil and creamy pesto sauces
Ordered Salmon/spinach dish, Salmon was over cooked.
Ate indoors and felt safe considering current COVID guidelines. The waitress was attentive and general manager helpful and social.
Food was excellent! Service could not have been better. Reservation for outside placed us in the parking lot. Just a little disappointing. Was hoping for a better table with a reservation. Still all and all a pleasant experience.
So I am very sad to have to give another poor review , because we have enjoyed Ciao for 24 years. This was the second time I’ve been there in less than a week and unfortunately my experience this second time was not any better than last week when we were there. I’m not sure if there is something going on -with staffing, possibly a new chef?? However our service again was very very poor our wait times for food and drinks was very long, although our server was very kind, we had to ask for drinks we had to ask for bread we had to ask for oil she just either seemed to be very new or not having a good night... and unfortunately the food was not as good as what we have become accustomed to in the 24 years we have been dining there. We ordered the tortolloni con pollo... it was dry, very few tomatoes, huge clumps of spinach... the week before that, no tomatoes on the salad, no chicken at all in the entree, very slow food and bar service... Brenda, the GM reaches out to me after my review last week, she was kind and was sending a token to make up for the issues from last week. It was unexpected but appreciated. I’m hoping that this is just 2 crazy poor experiences. As I said, we have loved Ciao ford 24 years, it was so disappointing to have 2 poor experiences, and with them being 6 days apart, I’m hoping it’s just a new staff training issue.
Food was good however the kitchen was extremely slow when we there. Service was excellent.
Great place to celebrate my birthday!
The food is always excellent and the service was very good, however, I'll never eat on the patio again. It was very noisy and the chairs were extremely uncomfortable. It lalmost ruined the dinner. I think at the very least you could invest in chairs that are suitable as dining chairs.
We have been coming to Ciao! for 24 years and have actually been ordering the same exact meal every time ( boring I know, but we love it) Tonight was disappointing. We had reservations and actually stood at the hostess station for several minutes before we were even noticed and the restaurant was not busy at all- maybe 3 other small tables occupied. It took a long time for our drinks to arrive and the food was missing components. Our salads were missing the tomatoes. Our main entree, a smoked chicken tortolloni, was missing the chicken! Not one bite of chicken in either portion. Our server was kind, they did bring chicken out (eventually) and they offered us a free dessert. Obviously we will come back, but it really was a disappointment to what we have become accustomed to over the last 24 years.
Best place in town. Brenda is amazing manager.
They know how to make a proper very dry Beefeater Martini 9/10
The gaspacho is very good 8/10
Had Sea Scallops on risoto with pancetta and asparagus 10/10
Management and wait staff very attentive but not intrusive
Patio in a rain shower - no problem at all
Just wanted to complement our waiter Jordan. He went above and beyond.
We sat outside with a group of friends and had a lovely time.
We went to Ciao! To celebrate my boyfriends birthday and it was an excellent experience. Great food and excellent service!
Everything was good, I did see a couple servers and runners taking off masks and rubbing their face and touching plates so that was a concern. I think they should have paper menus instead of ipad ones right now
I ordered the flounder. They used to have sole was delicious. The flounder wasn’t quite as good.
Great service and food especially amid Covid requirements. Pleasant staff and quiet atmosphere. Good quality food!
Food was great - waitress was very competent. We had plenty of time for each course.
My only complaint was that we had very cold air blowing on us and my husband actually had to go get my coat from the car (it was close to 90 outside).
Always down to enjoy a 6er of expresso martinis and calamari on the patio. Food was on point and Brenda always makes sure you are well taken care of. Great service and we'll be back soon!
Excellent dinner and the halibut special was fantastic.
All the employees were very friendly the moment we walked in. We had great service and a great waitress. The food and drinks were excellent.
We always love going to Ciao to celebrate or just to enjoy a great meal.
Excellent, delicious food and top-notch service, from the hostess to server to manager.
Been going to Ciao since it opened.
in fact, I was a server there shortly after they opened.
The food was always very good, and the service was excellent.
Tonight, for our anniversary dinner with friends, our experience was... more than a little disappointing.
Despite being very slow, our server pestered us incessantly to order, despite telling her we would like a little time.
Salads were *drenched* in caesar dressing.
My buddy and I ordered strip steaks - his medium rare and mine Pittsburghed rare.
Our food arrives and our steaks look vastly different. His looks like a 32 dollar steak, mine looks like a 5 dollar sirloin.
I mention this to our server, and she explains away both the size and thickness discrepancy to "how mine was cooked."
Mine should have been at least roughly the same size as my friend's as mine was cooked *less* than his.
General manager comes to the table with complimentary sips of champagne, and after toasting, I mention the issue to her.
She condescendingly assures me all the steaks are weighed and are the same, despite the visual evidence in front of us all.
Brenda leaves, then returns, letting us know that her chef said, again, "it was how it was cooked, that's why."
Hard to explain her condescending tone, but it was rude and dismissive.
Very mediocre service and food (which is NOT inexpensive) and downright hostile management not the slightest bit concerned about making things right, but quick and happy to "correct" my perception of my $32 garbage steak.
Plus, the place was filthy, with a ton of dead bugs and dust on the ledge of our booth. Disgusting.
After years of patronage, we will never return - there are far too many other better options out there.
Might want to reconsider that laurel resting, Ciao. You're not a good restaurant any longer.
It was so good be back in Ciao's again after being closed for a few months. Food was outstanding and our waitress was attentive and efficient. So glad they are opened again
Wait staff very friendly and helpful!! Food is delicious!!
This was first dining experience post COVID-19 Stay at Home. I was very impressed with the entire process and felt very safe.
Food was delicious and served quickly. Very nice team who took care of us!
Ciao! is one of our favorite places to eat. The food, the service and the atmosphere make for a fabulous dining experience. Our last visit (6/13/2020) was for my wife's 60th birthday. Once again "OUTSTANDING".
First time trying this restaurant. Good food, excellent service! No complaints whatsoever!
Wonderful food very slow service
Our waitress was a taller, skinny, African American woman (cant for the life of me remember her name) She was absolutely wonderful, very attentive to our needs and her others tables as well, and overall super friendly and made our experience there fantastic! She was our waitress for our 2 year anniversary as well and was the same way, Amazing!! Thanks for always making our anniversary super special as always

We wanted a good normal served meal again-our celebration of getting back to something a little more normal. We wanted to sit outside on this beautiful day and have a drink and good dinner. All four of us enjoyed our meals immensely!
Great food and service. We will return!
Very good experience! Would recommend to anyone for any occasion.
Everything was fine except for the hair in my salad. Waitress was very nice
Sat outside food was outstanding service and all of staff was wonderful and welcoming! Great experience as always!
Great service and food. Good variety and quality.
Amazing place to go, food was spectacular. Our server was amazing also!
Excellent all the way around. Ciao dealing very well with Covid 19 precautions. Excellent food & service! I'll return to Ciao!
They wait staff did a nice job and wore masks and kept us social distanced. Nice night for sitting outside.
