C.I. Shenanigans Ratings and Reviews
Went for Sunday brunch. Had to ask each time for refills, had to ask for clean silver ware because ours was cleared when they took our plates. Eggs were cheesy (yum) but cold. Hash browns were mushy and unseasoned. Wish they would have had the yogurt bar again. Every time i make reservations i ask for a window seat or a booth by bar and i get seated in the middle of dinning area. What's the point of even making reservations or request. The wait staff is too busy flirting and socializing to pay attention to customers. Fruit salad was over ripe. I've been coming to Sunday brunch about 5-6 times a years for two years and each time the service and food gets worse. Very disappointing to see this place go down hill.
We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation and was told our table wasn't ready and we opt to wait in the bar. When the greeter came to seat us we were move to the other side of the bar, in not so private area. I mentioned I don't want to sit in the bar while looking, at several nice open tables and booths in the dining area! I almost walked out. When the server came, I asked if we could move, she was very nice and accommodating and continue to check on us often. She is the only reason I give a 4 for service. The food was not very tasty at all. So disappointed!
Sunday brunch was displayed and kept clean. Replenishment was good. Food choices were pretty typical but did have some surprise offerings this past Sunday. Dungeness crab (not snow crab), shrimp pasta dish, and a cucumber/hummus bite were good. Scrambled eggs were unexceptional and tasted a bit like a chemical petri dish, but, then, I don't go to a brunch to eat scrambled eggs but go to taste different and unusual dishes.
Thank you for making my Dad's 90th Birthday Lunch such a special treat! From the moment we walked in, everyone made him feel special and Deedee, our server, was wonderful. People would stop the table and shake his hand and give him Birthday Wishes. It meant so much to him and us too. This is why this is one of my most favorite spots for going out to lunch or dinner.
Made a reservation for New Years Eve. Table was ready on time. Chef had a two item special menu for the evening. We selected our meal from it with a couple of options. An absolutely fantastic meal from the appetizer to the dessert. Will continue to be one of our favorite restaurants any time of the year.
$30 for Sunday brunch? Seems a little high, but for the variety of seafood (fresh crab!), breads, fruits, as well as all the other brunch staples including eggs Benedict and a crepe station it was definitely worth it. They had such a large variety of food that I couldn’t even try everything I wanted due to being full. And to top it off they had $3 mimosas; that right there makes it worth it. Service on drinks and plate pick up was a little slow, but that is the only complaint I have.
We made reservations and were seated right away, however at times the waiting area was very busy so I’d definitely suggest making a reservation if you think about going ahead of time.
This brunch was wonderful, better than any we have experienced in the Northwest. I made a video of the food dishes being served and the special order chef's stations for omlettes & crepes for our family and friends that was shared from this location to Denmark, France, Germany, Vietnam, the entire United States and Canada. Everyone who saw it said, "Oh this makes me starving to eat there!" One family is coming in the Spring from Vietnam to join us for another brunch there after seeing the video.
This restaurant is good in a typical upscale chain sort of way. The view is great, the service attentive. The food is well presented and tastes good, but will never win rave reviews. I'd go hee just to sit, relax, take in the view and dine. It'll never win exclamations of joy, but you'll never be sorry you went, either.
Server was awesome, quick and efficient. Food was ok, they used to have way better desserts (caramel brulee etc) now they have just some bland store bought looking desserts taken out of box. Also our dishes were dirty, caked crumbs on plates and silwerware.
The Sunday Brunch food was relatively good, but less choices and not prepared well - recent month. Terrible service. Our (I think she was our waitress??) waitress acted like she was doing us a favor, when we asked her for more coffee. Then she didn't even bring it. There was one nice guy however, he took the checks, and got us what we needed. Overall unfriendly faces.
Setting was good. Restaurant was Cold. Left my jacket and scarf on. Waited one hour for food and was never checked on. Asked for additional basket of bread while we were waiting... Told them my birthday $20 discount and didn’t add it. Had to wait around to flag the waitress to correct it. Nice food and place... for spending over $200 I kind of expected little better service.
they were really busy with holiday business, so perhaps we're being unfair. But our food was really late and not good at all. our fettuccini was served in a soup bowl and was mostly broth...I've never seen that before. the wedge salad had pieces of pork belly that were not chewable.
the server was fine but overwhelmed.
it was nice to watch the xmas boats floating by.
all in all, I would expect more for a bill over $100.
Had reservation for 5.4t pm. Fi ally seated at 6.20 pm
Party of 6 were seated in Bar area between 2 plus large parties. Noise level was terrible couldn't have conversation. Food steaks o ercooked, Salmon dry
Desserts were very dry and expensive. Carrot cake an d German
Cocolate. I asked server if Carrort cake was moist she said yes.
I called and complained to manager
Day after said he would get back to me. Never did. Spent over $ 350.
I don’t know if they were understaffed or if we had a really inattentive waiter. He missed or delayed several drink orders. He forgot to bring out an appetizer dish all together. I ordered a steak medium rare but it came out almost well done. I sent it back and it took 25 minutes to get the new steak back!
We've always enjoyed eating here and wanted someplace special for our anniversary(49). Checked out several other nice restaurants in area and decided we would go back to our favorite. Coconut prawns and stuffed sole were both beyond expectations. Generous portions and took some home for the next day because we wanted room for the mud pie. It was large also and they even boxed up what we couldn't eat so we had that the next day too. Might just come back on our 50th too.
This was a favorite spot for my husband and I. I hadn't been in several years but thought it was worth the drive. My girlfriends and I wanted to celebrate the Holidays together before the big rush closer to Christmas. It was very good but not quite as decadent as I remembered. The creme caramel was not on the buffet, oh well. Love the seafood! Would have like the trays of fresh fruit but a decent fruit salad was offered. My girlfriends agreed it was a very good choice and maybe even the start of a new tradition! Happy Holidays.
We arrived early and were told our table was ready and then told us it we be a few minutes. We waited for 15 minuets and I asked if there was a problem. The hostess told another person to to seat us and he took the wrong people to out table. The hostess looked up and realized he had taken the wrong group so he had to bring those people back and seat us. It took 10t minuets for the waitstaff to ask us about drinks- we actually went to the bar to order ourselves. The service was agonizingly slow. I had put on my reservation the occasion was for a birthday and the waitress didn’t have a clue. I will NEVER go back to this restaurant again.
Made reservations for 12 for mothers 60th birthday and was seated 20 minutes after the reservation time.. once seated they put our group at two separate tables without warning. I made the reservation on open table and also called to confirm that the table would be ready the day of. At no point did they mention we were to be separated when I called or even when we got there while waiting for twenty minutes. Waiting the 20 min wasn't the problem it was how they handled it, no one bothered to update our large group waiting and wondering what was going on. Once we arrived at our separated tables the gentleman just said well its because you're group is 12 people and was unapologetic for anything. Clearly we were able to fit at one table if an additional table were added to the end of a booth like the large group we sat next to, the man did do that after we had asked. The whole start of the visit was just frustrating and not what I expected for my moms 60th birthday dinner. Very disappointed.
We arrived for our reservation 5 minutes early, the same time another couple happened to be entering the restaurant. The other couple told the host they did not have a reservation, while the host acknowledged ours. Both us and the other couple were told to wait a few minutes, even though the restaurant was not that busy. They sat the other couple first, giving them a table with a waterfront view. They seated us a few minutes later, giving us a table with a view of the parking lot.
We mentioned this to our server, who did not offer to move us to a better table even though the place was far from full. We ordered drinks, which took a long time to come, though the bar was obviously not busy (it was directly across from our table). After the drinks came, we ordered food. The food took a long time as well, to the point where I had finished my beer and my wife was close to being done with her wine. I don't fault the restaurant for taking time to prepare the food, but our server failed to come back and check on us. Finally, my wife asked if I'd like another beer, to which I said yes, so she took my glass to the bar and asked for a refill. They told her they couldn't do it, our server needed to order the drink - which is ridiculous. But several minutes later, the bar manager brought over my drink, saying she would tell the server. By this time, my wife's wine was almost gone, but they did not ask if she wanted another.
Our server brought the food a bit later, but again failed to ask if my wife wanted more wine. The food was okay. My wife ordered a seafood louie salad without the louie dressing (which was not gluten free) but oil and vinegar instead on the side. Usually, restaurants give, to our tastes anyway, too much dressing. Here, however, there was very little and she had to ask for additional. My prime rib was okay, but the outside was not crispy brown like it should be.
As we left, we discussed everything with the manager. He apologized, but offered nothing more.
