About Churrascaria Plataforma Brazilian Steakhouse
Churrascaria Plataforma Brazilian Steakhouse is a Rodizio style restaurant. Rodizio is a method of serving meat that originated in the south of Brazil in the early 1800's. The concept is to serve a wide variety of different cuts of beef - sirloin, baby beef, top round, skirt steak, short ribs, brisket, rib eye; pork - ham, pork ribs, sausage, pork loin, suckling pig; chicken - chicken legs, chicken hearts; turkey - wrapped in bacon; lamb, fish, etc. in succession, to each diner individually right at their table. A meal typically begins with a trip to the gourmet salad bar, which features a variety of vegetables and composed salads in addition to four hot dishes. We also serve a selection of side dishes at your table. The main course, the highlight of the meal, will start when you flip your coaster-sized "chip" from the red side to the green side, signaling the meat cutters you're ready to be served.

Churrascaria Plataforma Brazilian Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
It were a great experience. I thought all the meat would taste the same, luckily I was wrong. Every meats has it own texture and flavor.
However, I didn't know that desserts were excluding from the Prix Fixe. I was a little shock when I receive my bill.
It's worth to enjoy the restaurant on occasion.
Outstanding night out! The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, the ambiance superb! A great fit whether out on a date, a family outing, a post work get together, or after the theater this place can handle it. We made plans to return even before we left.
I'm afraid Plataforma has lost its edge. I've eaten there no less than 6 times in the last few years. This trip, the salad bar had at least 30%-40% fewer items. It was a typical salad bar with the usual stuff. Not even Hearts of Palm which is local to Brazil.
The meat was the usual. What was missing was the bbq pig on the rolling cart, the smoked salmon and other fish. I had to ask multiple times for a lamb chop. The sausages were good but there was only one variety offered. In the past we tasted different sausages.
If you are a wine drinker, watch out. White wine prices START at $55 and go up steeply from there. It's time to say goodbye to an old favorite.
The meats and salad bar were fantastic. I was very surprised that the dessert was not included and cost $10 a piece without them mentioning it was separate from dinner. They immediately bring the dessert cart to the table as they wisk away the last dinner dish - making you think it is part of the dining experience.
I felt it was overpriced. The beef was nice and cooked well. Lamb was over cooked, sausages average, chicken dry. My partner did not have that much, so paying the full price was not value for money. Even for me I felt a little short changed by the offer.
If you go here, make sure you are very hungry and don't bother with the salad at the start, it just pre fills you and then you can't eat as much of the meat as required to get some value.
I went on a recommendation, but a little disappointed.
The service was good though.
I've been coming to Churrascaria Plataforma for several occasions. The last time I had been here was around mid-2016.
The service this occasion was subpar as water refills were infrequent. In addition, the servers with the meat were not as common. The selection of meat was limited than the previous times I had gone.
The increase in the prix fixe is also not worth it, considering the average service.
I was honestly disappointed with the overall experience on this occasion. I would probably not go again for at least a couple of years.
If you like steak - this place is for you. Great for Pre-Theatre - pace yourself, you don't have to have every offering that comes by your table. Salad bar is well stocked, but remember why you're there - STEAK.
Desserts are also a total win - make sure you leave room!
Always a pleasure going here for some great grilled meat, chicken and turkey. The food has been consistently good over the years and never disappoints. The service is always good as well. The waiters are very attentive. It was my Mom's birthday and they made her feel very special.
been eating out for over 30 years, this is by far one of the best restaurants my wife and I have ever been to. If I had to pick 1 negative it would be the cost of a pitcher of Sangria, $44.00, 15 percent of the entire bill. Aside from that the place is a home run and I can't wait to go back!!
Our Broadway show was cancelled but we already had reservations and a car lined up to go to churrascaria platforma I'm so glad we went it was as amazing and fun as it always is We didn't have to rush to get to a theater and totally enjoyed the time spent there
A fun destination spot, too noisy, but in a boistrous way. The selection of meat is copious and almost all of it was delicious, some--the baby lamb chops, the beef ribs--spectacular. The salad bar is excellent with delicious Braziailian choices such as feijoada. I was only sorry that they were out of bacalhau. The capirinhas were good and very strong.
If one is hungry, it is actually a good value.
Male host seemed a little irritated that we walked thru the back door (but, we were staying in the Belvedere & the door was open +++ or he was irritated that my mother in law was walking too slow?). Otherwise, we had an outstanding experience! All of your staff was topnotch and professional. Definitely will return if we travel back to NYC.
Outstanding quality and diversity of beef, served continually at-table until you tell them to stop. An excellent salad bar, where the term "salad bar" doesn't begin to do justice to the diversity of foods available there.
Weekends there is live Brazilian samba music, for an extra special treat.
I have been going to this restaurant for the past 17 years. I DO NOT eat meat, but my family and husband do and love it. I usually rave about their amazing salad bar spread, and I eat from it.( They charge you a little less when you just use the salad bar.)
Last Saturday night was my thank you to my husband for my amazing birthday. For the first time in 17 years I didn't like the salad bar. Lots of the salad bar staples were missing, no Brazilian Bakala dish! Poor man sushi, made of vegetables and imitation crab.. but my husband and our guests had great time.
Great service. The salad bar has everything, so i can see where vegetarian would like it. The meat is wonderful-- Perfectly seasoned. It was a friend's birthday, so they brought out a slice of cake with a sparkler. The desserts are fantastic. A bit on the pricy side. But it includes the salad bar, and several sides. It's actually very fair given the location and ambiance. Highly recommended.
