We went on a double date. We choose this restaurant because it was close to home and it was on the list for restaurant week. The food was pre-made and had been sitting from the looks of it. The gravy had lumped up and was surely microwaved. I will never go here for a meal again. The only good thing was, while waiting on our table, the time in the bar was pleasant and the drinks were great.

Had the Restaurant Week Menu, but should have just ordered off the menu and it may have been a better experience. The salad was the best course. The grits were too stiff and clumpy, mac n cheese was dry, and the hummingbird cake was very disappointing. Obviously massed produced in a factory and frozen. More cream cheese frosting than hard, dry cake.

Attended Jazz Beignet Breakfast Buffet. Food was good but kitchen could not stock the food fast enough for the amount of people dining.

The food was great as always. Service was a little slow and they had a lot of people for the buffet seated in the main dining room instead of the Voodoo Lounge, which was where the buffet was setup. There were tons of empty tables in the Lounge but we did not have an opportunity to sit there, so we had to get our food and walk all the way across the restaurant and through people waiting to be seated, to our table. It was a bit disorganized. Other than that it was fine.

I went to Chucks for Restaurant Week. This was a return after an amazing experience there in 2016. This year I was extremely disappointed. The only thing I enjoyed was the Poblano soup with Shrimp. The shrimp and grits was cold and was overwhelmed with tomato sauce. They were out of the brisket so I had the salmon which had very little flavor. And finally the hummingbird cake was dense, way to sweet and was cold like it had just come out of the refrigerator. Very disappointing after such an amazing prior experience.

Chicken wings were terrible. They were to big and slimy. It was freezing in the restaurant we had to eat with our coats on. Will not be visiting here again sorry Chuck’s.

Our go-to for a casual nite out! LOTS of menu changes! Tried the onion ring appetizer & it was fantastic! Our favorite is the chicken fried chicken entree! Sometimes we get a little piece of chicken and small portion of beans....this time we both had a beautifully cooked breast & big portion of beans! I don't know who was cooking, but it was delicious!
Server was attentive and did not rush us!

I went here for restaurant week. The poblano soup was supposed to have shrimp. No shrimp just corn and green beans. The shrimp and grits were not that great. The shrimp were very spicy. No garlic butter sauce like the menu stated instead it was some type of red sauce. The grits were stiff and not creamy. Not sure if I would go back and try something else.

The food was delicious and the lemonade was TASTY. The only complaint was we called the restaurant to say we were looping the parking lot and were going to be late because there was no availability (it's residential permit parking only on the street). Instead of the employee saying there is parking across the street they just said okay!
