   We came here for our anniversary celebration and had an amazing experience from the beginning to end! First, We changed our reservation from 6pm to 7:15pm so that we can watch the sunset by the window. The hostess accommodated us with a smile on her face. We started with a beer and a glass of pinot Grigio wine (orange) from Italy. Then we ordered gnocchi with morels and peas, pecorino $28 from the small plates. The morels tasted so good with the pan fried gnocchi, the peas were fresh and firm, all together provided contrast. My husband ordered halibut - fish was soft, tender - it came with vegetables and potatoes and they all paired so well - fresh and firmess from the vegetables. ~$52 I ordered the scallop - fresh, juicy, and tender. It came on a bed of squid ink risotto, and some tomatoes. It was also delicious but the halibut wins out with the contrast of textures. ~$52 For dessert we had the princess cake ($14) which has a burst of strawberry cream on top of an almond / marzipan tart, so good! We also tried bergamot penne cotta ($12) that came with fruits, cherries, and for our anniversary a candle to celebrate! Our waitress was Janis and she is the best - friendly, professional and gave us great recommendations! The interior of the restaurant is simple and elegant, similar to its food - freshest ingredients which come to life! Bring cash! There's a surcharge for using credit card.

   The tasting menu is perfect on all counts ... and with the paired wines it is just amazing.

   We always have at least one dinner at Christy Hill every time that we visit North Lake Tahoe. As always the food was great, the service was great and views were terrific.

   I’ve had the pleasure and privilege of eating at some wonderful restaurants in my life, but the tasting menu we had Friday night at Christy Hill was quite possibly be the most delicious and well executed meal I’ve ever had. Every single detail was perfect. I noted the noise level as loud, but that might just have been because of one particular woman in the center of the restaurant that had one too many glasses of wine. Other than that, I highly recommend!

   Food was delicious and service was great. We eat at multiple Michelin Star restaurants annually and felt the price per dish was a bit high, not dramatically, but a little bit. Interior was a little worn in some spots and lacked the elegance for what we were paying for. The view though was amazing. The plating was superb and all of our food was IG worthy. Everyone in our party enjoyed dinner and would return. The staff was excellent, friendly, accommodating, and provided an upscale experience.

   To start, Christy Hill is my favorite restaurant in the Tahoe Truckee basin. I live full time in Truckee and love the lake views from both indoor and outdoor seating. That said this visit (2nd one in a week) was dissapointing. The new “spring” menu is very limited. I used to love the Angoletti but this version is more a soup than a pasta dish, I would suggest offering it without the broth. My friend ordered the lamb and she actually sent it back as it had no lamb flavor whatsoever. I tasted it and really thought is was beef. Our server got involved in a very long discussion with a single customer and pretty much ignored our table for a long time. All that said I of course will continue my visits to Christy Hill but please offer more main courses on the menus .

    Great food, small menu but wide variety. Great view of the lake, good wine selection. Great service. Friendly and professional staff.
