A memorable dining experience awaits you as you enter the Christy Hill Restaurant in the center of Tahoe City. The restaurant sits just 100 feet above the shoreline of Lake Tahoe on an elevated embankment offering diners a panoramic vista. The intimate setting offers guests a view that is only upstaged by the cuisine, wine and service. Spectacular sunsets that can be seen from every table is just one of the many reasons that Christy Hill was voted "Most Romantic Restaurant" by the San Francisco Chronicle.

We are Tahoe Locals, this is our favorite go-to spot for celebrations Great view, great staff, fantastic food!
The view, the food, and the service were wonderful.
25th Wedding Anniversary Dinner. Excellent!
Ordered several items, and all were fantastic. The restaurant is right on the water, so the view is beautiful. They don't serve cocktails though, so be prepared for wine/beer/limited 50 proof options.
Great service, great food, great setting. Had a lovely time on date night with my wife!
an excellent and memorable evening at Christy Hill. I had wanted to have an amazing experience for my girlfriend and myself and Christy Hill did not disappoint. The waiter worked with me to assist in finding the right wine pairing with my steak, the hamachi tartare appetizer was delicate and full of unexpected flavors, my girlfriend's dish was beautifully prepared, and we felt perfectly at home, even during a COVID dinner out. Excellent service, and the view from the restaurant over Lake Tahoe on a clear night is, of course, gorgeous.
The pan fried gnocchi with duck was delicious. The creme brûlée dessert was great as well. Lastly, the cappuccino was a good finisher.
The view itself was worth going to the restaurant, besides the amazing service and great food.
Would highly recommend Christy Hill restaurant to anyone.
Outstanding perfectly prepared meal!
Unbeatable views, great service, delicious and refined food menu, and impressive wine list. Always a treat to dine at Christy Hill.
Everything was perfect and amazing. A perfect getaway for an evening
The food is creatively crafted and so delicious. The staff is pleasant and very knowledgable. The ambiance is cozy chic.
This is the first restaurant that we have eaten at since the pandemic. They had such great protocols in place we felt very comfortable dining there and the food and atmosphere was excellent
Our most favorite restaurant in the whole Tahoe basin that never disappoints. Food and service is beyond compare.
Great food and great service with a beautiful view of the lake would recommend to anyone!
Made a reservation online for 8:00 but when we arrived, we were told that reservations were only made for the inside which wasn’t what we had wanted due to the virus so we ended up having to wait for almost an entire hour for a table outside. This needs to be fixed with their online reservation service.
Nice intimate adult dinner venue. Excellent food and wine list to pair.
A real gem: great food and awesome view. Fun staff, who were very helpful. The food was both inventive and executed well. The wine list was limited: they could use a more expanded selection to match the dishes.
Phenomenal experience from the time we sat down until we got up.
lovely seating outdoors...felt very safe! they have lots of heaters, so it's comfortable
Very enjoyable. Great ambiance. Will return next year.
Absolutely the best night ever. The food was out of this world!!
All our dishes were delicious. Had the Caesar salad, shishito peppers, grilled octopus, pork loin, wagyu ribeye, and chocolate croissant bread pudding. Outdoor seating was well spaced out and ambience was beautiful with lakefront views. Service was pleasant and attentive.
Food was inventive and delicious. Wait staff was knowledgeable and personable without being intrusive. Spectacular setting with moonlight over the lake. Very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend! We will be back.
Fantastic meal, my wife had the Duck duet and I had the lamb, both were excellent.
They knew it was for our anniversary and delivered us a free desert! Excellent service and meal, is pricey but well worth it.
The appitizers, small plates and desserts were amazing. The entrées didnt blow us away. But the desserts and view alone made it worth it. Really didnt want to leave.
I have been coming to this lovely restaurant for years, and it just keeps getting better.
Outstanding. Can't wait to go back! These are incredibly talented chefs. Cheers!
As a vegan, dining out is sometimes difficult and disappointing. However, everyone was very accommodating and the chef was very willing to make an amazing dish up for me. We will be back!
Absolutely wonderful dining experience. Service was warm, friendly and professional. Highly recommended.
The ambiance, service, and wine were great. The food was underwhelming for the price.
Best restaurant in Tahoe City--food, service, ambiance and view were amazing.
Great location but food was not nearly worth the price tag.
My duck was excellent and the portion generous, but my dining companion had a very skimpy portion of scallops. He did comment that the the dish was excellent. Also it was chilly and windy—some kind of wind break would have been appreciated.
I went here for my birthday last week and sat outside under heaters and a firepit. The meal was unique and special. Small portions which I like as I can try more things. There were four of us and each had something different. All were good. And then there was the chocolate bread pudding for dessert. How could we go wrong. Had a wonderful time.
Everything was great from hostess, server, view etc. but
The food was very mediocre, unfortunately. The $65 wagyu steak was worth no more than $28. We got two small plates, two appetizers and two entrees. All was just alright.
This meal at Christy Hill was one of the best dining experiences that I have ever had, despite the fact that I've dined at renowned Michelin-star restaurants like Reina in Istanbul, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London, the Fat Duck in Bray and L'Epicure in Paris.
The first impressions were great, with stunning views across Lake Tahoe from the spacious outdoor terrace where all diners were socially-distanced and on large tables in elegant surroundings.
The fun really started once the menus arrived; we were greeted by a wide selection of high quality dishes and excellent, attentive, but unhurried service from our server, David.
We shared a Caesar salad and grilled octopus and to start; the octopus was perfectly cooked and almost melted on the tongue.
My guest had the Alaskan Halibut for her entrée, and that was also cooked to perfection, but I feel that I won the evening with the sublime Pan Roasted Dayboat Scallops - a dish that is worth visiting the restaurant for alone!
For desert, we shared the amazing Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding, which was paired perfectly with the sweet but fruity N.V. Terres Secretes Rose.
Overall, this was an exciting, high quality world-class dining experience, in an idyllic setting and we left with big smiles and a desire to return soon; the staff were equally friendly and professional and it felt like we were guests in someone's home rather than diners at a restaurant.
This restaurant was once quite deservedly voted "Most Romantic Restaurant" by the San Francisco Chronicle, and I definitely recommend it for any occasion with someone special…
Christy hill never fails to impress, truly one of the two best places for great food and awesome vibes, but with the new outdoor seating on the lake the atmosphere tops it all off! Truly the best place to eat in North Tahoe.
Terrible place
A very romantic restaurant. Highly recommend it for special occasions.
The food and service was amazing and the view from the deck is unmatched. Loved Christy Hill's attention to detail. Extensive drinks list also.
