Christopher's World Grille Ratings and Reviews
Incredibly good food and attentive service. Earlier in the day on the phone, I asked for a quiet, corner table (because tables are placed very close together). Upon arriving at 5:15 PM (in very nice clothing) we were seated in the bar; I had to ask to be moved. This poor decision on their part will not deter us from returning next month for our anniversary, however I will share my observations with others. The dining area was practically empty, so there was no need to seat us in the bar with guests dressed in t-shirts.
This is easily the most upscale restaurant that I've ever been to (I haven't spent much time in large cities), and will likely be my go-to special occasion restaurant in BCS. With that being said, the food was worth the price (at least $30 per entree). They pride themselves on their sauces, which lived up to the billing. For an appetizer, we had the blackened crawfish and shrimp fondue, which was delicious. For dinner, I had a porterhouse, which was cooked perfectly to my medium-rare specification. The beef was served with a light sauce which added great flavor without distracting from the steak itself, as well as with blue-cheese butter, which was a great accent. My wife had the lamb shank, which had a relatively mild flavor as far as lamb goes, and was very tender. Finally we had a mixed berry napoleon for dessert, which was also great (I usually prefer desserts that are mostly chocolate, but I'd make an exception for this). The cocktails were wonderful as well.
Went there for my wife and brothers bday. Wanted to take my family out for a special dinner since we don’t get together much being that my wife and I️ live in Frisco Texas (dallas area). From the very beginning the staff was friendly and service was top notch all throughout. The food was amazing and cocktails were on point . Special thanks to Angel and the servers that helped him and Rafael the restaurant manager for adding their personal touch to our special occasion.
We are new to the BCS area and tried this for our son's 21st birthday. What a treat! It lives up to its reputation as a 4 star restaurant. The food was exceptional, the service was fabulous, and the ambiance was elegant without being stuffy/too formal. We will definitely go back again, and not just for a special occasion!
Christopher's World Grill is always our "go to" for a nice meal with our kids when we are in town for a football game. Food was very good as always as was our waiter. We did feel a bit rushed this time which was unusual because there were plenty of open tables when we were finishing up so it's not like they needed the table. Still very good though.
I came extremely skeptical and left so impressed. The waiter was excellent he gave the best service we have ever received. He was on top of everything and very funny. The food was outstanding. My steak was cooked to perfection and literally tasted like it had been prepared by the gods. Service, food and atmosphere were just incredible. This is going to be a restaurant i come back to.
We were seated in the newer section. More room but not as intimate as the older building. Very good service, and the food was quite good. I had my usual filet. The sauce was superb. Desert was creme broule and it was quite good. My one complaint is the prices are really getting high. With the recent closing of La Riviera they don't feel they have as much competition. $40 range for entres may not sound high for people in Houston, but in Bryan/College Station that is getting excessive. I think Christopher's is going back to just being a twice yearly visit: for my wife's birthday and our anniversary.
Amazing food for our group. We did, however, have issues being seated as we had a couple that ran into issues with child care and were running late. The host was very frustrating and not kind at all while we were explaining the situation and were at first refusing to seat us. We finally convinced them to seat us but they were not happy about it at all. Then we get very rushed to order even though we just wanted to have drinks and appetizers while waiting on the rest of our party. We had a full 3 course meal but felt like they were expecting us to finish in an hour. Great meal, the steak was amazing, great wine list, but be careful booking a large party (6 people) there.
