The steak was cooked just right and had awesome flavor, the asparagus was wonderful, the baked potato was not very fresh and not very warm, the service was great, it’s sad that I have to drop the rating lower because of a baked potato but if I’m going to pay 12 dollars for a baked potato I expect it to be fresh and hot. Overall a good dining experience

Fantastic food, server was excellent, wasn't loud and was just a peaceful atmosphere. Great place for a date night or special occasions. Kinda pricey but the quality of food was definately worth it

I took my girlfriend here for our Valentine's Day dinner. The ambiance was great from the start but overall from the food to the service, it was not up to standards that the restaurant portrays. The food was good but extremely overpriced. Cleanliness of the restaurant was lacking and our service was okay at best.

Probably due to the Valentine’s Day, waitress seemed rushed. I totally have received better service at Christopher’s

Ordered filet and lobster. Filet was good, but lobster was cool, as well as the clarified butter. Asked for hot butter to warm up the lobster, and got another lukewarm butter boat. Asparagus was old and woody and over cooked to the point that I couldn’t cut parts of it, as it would simply tear into strands. For the kind of money spent on that dish ($78) it should have been perfect. Wasn’t happy with the bruschetta appetizer either, which was not our first pick, because they were out of the baked Brie... and it was only 5pm. Very poor food quality for the money.

Food was not very good. Steak wasn’t seasoned well or cooked consistently. Lobster was dry and crunchy.

It was fine. The waiter argued with my friend about ordering his “filet” well done. I was offended, personally, but he can order it however he wants?! Correct?

After some immature bickering and sending his steak back to get burned, all was well. It could have been avoided if the hipster waiter “lost his attitude, and the “man bun”, he could have earned my respect.

It was amusing and I paid with a Groupon, so who cares?

Not a good experience. We bought a groupon as a gift for parents who are on a fixed income. I gave the enough cash to cover tax and tip. I asked how they enjoyed christophers. They didn't, and left it at that. I guess they didn't want me to feel bad.
So my wife and i bought one to see what may have happened.
The ad states $70 worth of food. I figure once you spend $70 your done. Well we learned there is only a certin section you can buy from, you must purchase 2 items and the lowest possible price item is $38 times 2 items. That is just for a small piece of meat. No side no drink just an 8oz piece of meat. So the groupon forces you to pay additional money no matter what.
I understand its an upscale resturant, but this kind of surprise for many income levels can be shocking and embarrassing under certain conditions.
My wife and i just got up and left, we did not use the voucher and now groupon refuses to refund us since we passed the 3 day return policy by 16 hours.
So not only did my parents have an embarrassing experience, as did my wife and i, but we are now out the money for 2 groupons.
With groupons, might i suggest if you have so many restrictions, you don't hide it in small print. Have in bold print an exsample get $70 worth of food. You must purchase 2 items the lowest priced item is $38 for a 8oz piece of meet. NO SIDES, NO DRINK, JUST AN 8OZ PIECE OF MEET. NOTHING ELSE.
The worst restaurant experience I have ever encountered

We have been coming to Christopher's for years. The steaks and seafood is always delicious. We tried the pris fix this time. What an experience. We could not finish all the food! The steak was huge!

The ambiance was wonderful, quiet, rich wood surroundings. We had a steak, which was cooked just right, but the meat seemed a bit tough for the $57 price, and the "aged" description. Ee also had a seafood medly, I forget the name of the entreé, but was very good. For a side, we had the au gratin potatoes which were way to salty to eat. They were replaced with the parmesan mashed potatoes, still a bit too much salty, but edible. We were not charged for either side because of the saltiness of the first. Very few patrons there that night, and the service was excellent. I think the food is a bit pricey for the quality. They should take care to not over season the food.

It was our daughters birthday. We were hoping to have the crusted salmon and lucky us it was one of the 'specials' for the night. Our darling waitress Ariel was so accommodating and efficient. We will be back!

For my first time I was very impressed. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the lobster tail was huge, the portobella mushrooms were a great addition to the steaks. I had the prix fixe and it was an exceptional deal for the amount of food.

First time is Salt Lake City and looking for a steakhouse near our hotel. Excellent steaks (we had strip and filet) and they were perfectly prepared. Decent wine list. Reasonably priced for the quality.

My wife and I both the had the pre-fixe dinner. Everything was outstanding...the only very minor critique was not enough dressing on the wedge salad. The steak, au gratin potatoes, brussel sprouts were superb. We had the flourless chocolate torte and the bread for dessert that were likewise fantastic. We will definitely come back again.

Food was great, service wasn't the best. We had to remind them about our drinks like 15 minutes after we ordered them. We also had too grab someone walking by later to order another round of drinks. No one came by to check on us to see if there was anything we needed or how the food was until we were almost done with our meal. I spent over $200 for a two person dinner and felt like I was having a service experience at a local burger joint.

Service was terrible. Bread guy came by once, yet we saw him hit other tables multiple times. After our steaks arrived, they checked on us once after about 2 minutes and then nothing. After we were done eating we waited over 20 minutes for anyone to come by (we timed this as we had a concert to make). After desert came we sat there for another 22 minutes after we finished desert. We even asked someone to get our waiter and it took over 10 minutes after we asked for him to show up. Steaks were OK, but not cooked right. We ordered Med-Rare and while the edges were fine, all the thicker parts were very rare. It also was pretty tough for even a sirloin. I've bought sirloin at Smiths for $2.99/lb that was more flavorful and tender. Overall, we were very disappointing and never plan on returning. One thing to note is that we did use a Groupon and I wonder if the poor service was because of that.

I was looking for a good place to take my husband for his birthday. He’s Gluten Free and I always feel bad when he’s stuck eating a salad, so this place was a hit!
Service was fantastic. I wish I had remembered our servers name, but he was great!!

The overall experience was very good. The steaks are generous in size and the texture of beef was superior to cheaper steakhouses. The portions were generous and the Brussel sprouts were amazing. The ambiance is very amber, generally quite, and it doesn't start to fill up until 730pm.

Food wasn't the worst steakhouse, but not the best either. The disappointing part was my wife and I asked to forgo our included appetizers with our meal for a joint upgraded appetizer, to which we were told wouldn't be a problem...only to find out after we consumed the appetizer that the waiter said his "calculation was off" implying that we would be liable for a portion of the cost for the upgraded appetizer. However, when our bill came, we were charged for the full amount, and not given our included appetizer with our dinner.
